Hi Mike. I've been trying to get a hold of you since Monday about a set of 10 gridseed and boards that you sent out. You shipped very quickly, thank you. However, you promised during the purchase that you would walk me through setting them up. BTW, I paid an extra BTC more than most people you are selling these to.

I cannot find any information about how to use the board or the psu you sent. Since you won't answer my emails or voicemail, I plugged the board into my network, did a ip scan to find out what IP it was using and then used NMap to see what ports it was listening on, but nothing showed up. Please answer me. I have had 10 units sitting on my desk since Monday doing nothing.

If anyone else in the forums knows how to set up the boards that Zoom Hash is sending us, I would appreciate the help. It looks like an older Raspberry PI unit with an SDcard already plugged in there. It also came with a second board with 13 usb inputs, obviously for the gridseeds to plug into. However, I do not want to guess about splicing the psu to power the gridseeds and I have no idea how to access the main card. I manually tried telnet, http, and https in addition to the port scan and there was no response to anything. I would really like to get this going. This is a test order before I place more.

Order #1412

Thanks!
Michael

Well.. put a small order in here...  shall see how it goes, as I am currently very unimpressed with Hashra on their turnaround time.. 14 business days and still counting with them.

Have been reading a lot of positive things regarding ZH here.

Thanks!

Got my 10 today from Zoomhash. They weren't too hard to get going using the modified version of CgMiner (changing drivers, starting cgminer first, then plugging in usb hub). Only running in scrypt mode and hashing 360 x 10  Grin around 100watts Grin Thanks!

I am running 4 gridseeds 3 are overclocked to 850 freq and work great on 1 pc.  the fourth is on a different pc is overclocks to 800 freq.

no controller  needed but it varies from motherboard to motherboard. the asrock z77 ite-x   tiny mobo that could is running

3 gridseeds -------------------3 open cpuminer programs   freq 850    gives about 390kh

13 antminer u-1's ------------1 custom  cgminer for antminers freq 0981 gives 2.0gh

1 redfury   ---------------------1 bfgminer  runs the stick at 2.4gh

1 r9 290 gpu --------------------gi miner runs the r9 290 at about 760kh

pretty good for a 2 year motherboard running none stop since aug 2012 when it mined btc with a hd7970.

I have 5 pc's running have just tested the gridseeds on 2 of them and the asrock is really good.

the bottom 3 all run on the asrock and you can use a 12 volt  2 amp power brick for each one if you only mine ltc

I ordered 2 of these from your website to try these out.

Since I am new to these, can someone please list exactly what I will need to get these up and running so that I have everything beforehand?

What I think I need:
  • USB cables (included in order)
  • Power Supply Unit - Someone posted the one I need is also available from Radio Shack? Can you list a part number or link? Do I need a separate PS for each unit?
  • Modified CGMiner program. Is there a link to one?

I also found this link regarding a custom compiled version. http://cryptomining-blog.com/1165-download-cpuminer-for-gridseed-5-chip-gc3355-asics-with-reduced-power-usage/

Anyone try this yet? Also in conjunction with my above question, since this claims to reduce power usage to 8 watts, with this would I be able to use one PS per unit?

Thanks

I have used the Cpu miner it works okay. If you check there is a cgminer that works also but it requires a lot more work to get it to work with the gridseed .Also on scrypt aka light coin you can use a 12v 3.50A power supply the highly suggested would be 12v 6a minimum for life of the power supply.

If you need any help read thru below to get the gridseed up and running

I did a decent sized buy from ZoomHash recently and everything went really well.  Great communication and no funny business. Just wanted to add my experience to the thread, good guys here.
