As an Indonesian, i personally like the various forms of cultural heritage (physical and intangible such as tradition, artistic expressions, etc) that this country has. I like Batik shirts, Javanese and Balinese architecture, Minang cuisine, paintings, etc. Certainly they’re worth preserving as Indonesia modernizes along the way. One thing that i’m rather disappointed is the fact that Jakarta’ old town is not really well maintained. There are lots of old colonial buildings which have been left to rot for years already. I hope it’ll change soon though, as the old town area of Jakarta is the only place which may attract tourists the most.

Other than that, i do think that we need to put more attention to preserve our culture. As a developing economy, we may think that traditional culture doesn’t have a place in a modern society. But i think that’s a wrong mindset. I’d love to have my future house to be built in traditional Balinese architectural style with a modern interior.

and aren't the streets of paris also full of dog poops?

Actually, no, they aren't... don't know where you got that one from.

You guys have probably never seen the Indian streets. I am not saying about major national highways and main roads, but about smaller streets connecting the outskirts to the cities. It is a horrible sight. The worst thing is guys defecating in the open by the side of the road. They don't even have the decency to go to the bushes and cover up.

i've never been there but can't even imagine wanting to - i've heard that it's quite a filthy place... my classmate was there for her vacation and it was terrible

Lol.... most of the third world nations are filthy. I am currently residing in India and it is horrible here. You can't walk using the street because dog/human/cow feces is everywhere. Even if you can avoid stepping on the feces, the stench that comes out of it is so overpowering.

Indonesia, one of the world's largest biological and non-living resources.
In general, natural resources by nature can be classified as renewable and non-renewable natural resources. renewable sDA is a natural resource that can continue to exist as long as its use is not over-exploited. however irreparable natural resources are limited natural resources because their use is faster than the process of formation and whenused continuously will be exhausted.Indonesia is a vast country. Thus, the tribes and cultures are diverse. The diversity of tribes and cultures resulted in various historical heritages in Indonesia. Historical heritage objects in Indonesia include:
- Arca
- the castle
-temple
- the building
-tomb
-monument
-museum
-book
-worship place
-inscription

I was changing my plane and stayed for a day in Singapore - I think it's a big similar to Indonesia - so I think it's an interesting county to visit.

in many many ways the two countries are vastly different. you will not get a good overall impression of indonesia from looking at singapore.

Yeah... I dunno about that. I often see you idiot Indonesians making incredibly intolerant and homophobic posts:

Indonesia is pretty different from region to region. Bali is mainly Hindu and more tolerant, whereas Sumatra is hell on Earth sponsored by "the religion of peace", Java depends on the city, my older daughter already got some troubles at Kedhiri (again sponsored by the "religion of peace") but not on other East Java cities...
Lately I had a friend looking to invest at Lombok, asked my ex and she just replied: Muslims...

please pay a visit to indonesia.
Indonesia is a country with thousands of islands and many places of tourism can be visited.
and Indonesians are very friendly to uphold tolerance.

Yeah... I dunno about that. I often see you idiot Indonesians making incredibly intolerant and homophobic posts:

everything in this world is always in pairs. homosexual and lesbian it is a disease that can be cured if they think will until when such whether it is not thought to live a normal life

Though I suspect half of you here are still in high school and are brainwashed by your religious schooling no dount.

new haven for radical muslims and also being a new training camp for terrorists and their government has trouble stopping them

Indonesia used to be a quite moderate society. But during the 1990s, some of the politicians started taking help from the radical groups, which introduced this problem for the first time in that country. This resulted in several terrorist groups forming inside Indonesia and these groups were responsible for crimes such as the anti-Chinese riots and Bali bombings.
