Looking forward, we need some ideas.

IFLT needs to be ported to a current code base, that is 1st gen Bitcoin code with Proof of Stake.

There are some that tried it in the past like
DeepOnion
BeanCash
CorcodileCash

and others.

Some ideas please, what is the latest greatest Bitcoin code based PoS coin nowadays?

We could move to newest code and port the blockchain, do a hardfork and get rid of the Yobit scammers.
But it is not easy. Best would be to go on to some Metamask/ETH compatible deployment but that is beyond my/our current capabilities.
Someone interested to join, feel free.

I set a 10 million IFLT bounty to get us up, alive and kicking again on a new compatible blockchain (without Yobit). Not much now in Fiat value but potentially big in the future.

Also C-Patex as exchange is welcome to be part of it. But we need more than that.

I'm syncing now to test those 'new' nodes, but I think holders should join the discord chat and maybe we can determine what could be done next. Just waiting around won't help the coin, but planning and working together might.

That is all stoneage stuff that does not work properly anymore.

You can still compile it with somewhat heavy modifications and backporting. But again, the codebase would need a major upgrade.

The (very old) code is still there, it is an early version of Bitcoin. It can probably be modified without much effort to up to date similar coins like LTC or DOGE. I'm not a progger, just saying. But that would be a next necessary step.

Anyone interested, I throw in 10 million IFLT to get the code updated. That is not much in US$ on paper now without liquidity and basically only 2 restricted markets, but who cares. The rest is self fullfilling if you do good and we gain value. Anything goes after we get some grip.

These 10 millions can also go towards an exchange listing. We need that.

Two Free listing exchanges:

I don't think anyone has done this yet.

They need project/creator/developer contacts. If anyone want to take this? Don't think original dev is still around.

I do not have the particular knowledge for that but would certainly support a community driven restart.

How right was I, luckily I got almost all my funds out already. They say they reopen on 6 March, that will certainly not last very long. So mark the date and try to recover what could still be salvaged.

Dear users

We regret to inform you that C-Patex has temporarily closed.

During these four years we have faced all kinds of difficulties and we did the impossible to move forward.

But almost at the end of our first year, in September 2018, we suffered a hack that took 80% of the assets, about 3 BTC + altcoins worth 1 more BTC. We refuse to give up. We put up money and tried to move on.

In mid-2019, another much smaller hack delayed the recovery that we had been having. Additionally, there was a tremendous crisis of confidence in altcoin exchanges from closures like Cryptopia, Coinexchange, Altilly, and more than 150 other exchanges. Altcoin markets slowed noticeably.

We constantly try to improve our security, while we continue to look for solutions and funds to be able to continue building this project as we had dreamed of. The budget was low, because we needed to recover solvency, and the marketing expenses were turned to grant rewards to try to maintain the site with a certain volume that guarantees its continuity.

Unfortunately, in January of this year, our CEO fell ill with Covid and was on the verge of death, hospitalized in intensive care, with an artificial respirator in an induced coma. In this context, the site went down for several days, affecting user confidence, and causing a panic withdrawal of deposits during the following days.

Some wallets need to be restored and synced, and solvency issues from past hacks have become acute and need to be resolved. All these tasks carried out by our CEO, who is still recovering from the consequences of the disease and hospitalization.

So we are going to stop the site until March 6th.

Thanks to the invaluable help of some communities and individuals, the possibility of closure has been ruled out. The aid ranges from donations to commitments to reinforce deposits and operations. Everything adds up and everything helps. You can also help and with your contribution, no matter how small, we will strengthen the site so that it can be reborn with more force. Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Adam, Inflation Coin Team,

We've set up 2 nodes, IP: 134.122.109.107 and IP: 104.248.160.70, these
aren't fully set up yet we are just letting them sync.

Now due to our Data Centre migration being on pause we've placed the
nodes on DigitalOcean but will start some more up when the DC migration
is complete.

Thanks
Paul

C-Patex just closed so we need a new exchange

Freiexchange is BTC only and InflationCoin went to Doge market with good value there.

Maybe we can do an airdrop for the coin and build a new team.

Unfortunate to hear, but these small exchanges are temporary stops in a larger trip. Hopefully, we get news on the nodes and see an improvement in the network connectivity for stakers. It's reasonable to wonder where we are at this point after the work was done (donations) to facilitate the new nodes.

Once that is done, maybe we could start to look for a way to add development improvements while maintaining the historical record of the chain, unlike other projects that perform swaps and start over.
There are many great new improvements and features IFLT could decide to implement if decided, funded, and completed by skilled coders.

Yes, I saw this on Twitter. Does not exactly sound trustworthy, rather a one man show.

They said:

Our site is momentarily offline, there's a problem with the website engine, and our team is trying to solve it ASAP.

Meanwhile our main developer, and CEO, Miguel Grau, has a severe case of COVID-19 and is being taken care of in isolation, with professionals.

The overlapping of both issues does not help, but with time, work, faith, and patience, everything can be solved 😌

The website's database, and all of our wallets are still working as expected, and nothing was compromised.

Maybe it's a good moment for us to take a couple days to take care of everything and make sure to do everything we can to get the best outcome possible

C-Patex was down and unreachable for a couple of days. Probably hacked. They just came online again and I withdrew my funds.

We need another exchange.

Minimum requirement for a full node with staking is a 4 core ARM with at least 2GB of RAM (1GB is too less). Old Android TV boxes do fine. I have it compiled for ARM64 running on a S905X with Debian Buster converted to DietPi.

Cheap and powerful.

Ok, we've cashed out the donation received, we're working to secure two servers (Most likely from OVH) which we've calculated we can pay for, for a 1 year each. These will be dedicated nodes.

FYI The cash out amount was: £351.22
