I got two from a ginter x case.  I even sold a few when I had different goals. The black one is the best looking one I think.  But, if I ran across a silver,  I wouldn't toss it aside.

Wow. my plan was to get 10 mini X cards, but those have all but disappeared.  Also have my eyes on a couple of mini golds.  If anyone has 4 mini blacks they want to trade, let me know.

Here's some eye candy since we've fallen to page 2 now.  Hope we don't lose steam.

I see who I was bidding against for all those Mini X's now. Good score! Grin

Is anyone else here doing BGS grading on all the various types of 83 cards? I've never done it before and not sure how to label the cards on the form etc.    Huh

Thanks

Personally I prefer PSA over BGS.  BGS gives out 10's like they're giving out candy, so the graded 10's end up not being as rare vs PSA 10.  Just my thoughts from the things I've read on forums.

I've read the opposite, but I'll be choosing PSA. I prefer the simple aesthetics of PSA's red text on white stickers. Reminds me of a baseball. LOL

Maybe... I keep seeing the BGS cards pop up on ebay

I had never graded a card until recently. I sent 1 of the base cards into PSA    https://www.psacard.com/

I was told that they are the "standard" of the industry...   as the 2 most expensive cards ever sold were both graded by PSA. :O

Thanks man, I'll have a look. I assumed BGS was more popular, sorry! Tongue

I bought a ton of mini regulars hoping one would be a glow in the dark.  No luck yet. I figured I can buy 40 and one has to glow.

Before you buy , you can look at the border, it is different.  Look closely at one on ebay and then look at your border on yours.  You will see the difference.  Hope this helps

Chris

That is such a tough call, unless the cards are actually hand or stamped numbered.  The glow in the dark is another one I am not sure of.  If you go to beckett checklist that I posted, it shows there is just 1 of the black mini.  We know there are more than that but, not much that I have seen.  Sorry I can't be more helpful

...the mini black card was estimated at 100 were made but, I think it might be even less.

OK, so is it ~100, or is it ~50? I've seen both numbers posted on this thread.

I got a feeling even the $5-$10 base cards will be in the 100's in the near future.

Baseball card collectors don't understand the crazy amounts of 'money' a lot of Bitcoin advocates have; along side the HODL mentality these cards seem like an easy call. Mine are all going straight to Beckett for grading and into the safety deposit box.
That's basically all that is left, the mini black card was estimated at 100 were made but, I think it might be even less..  The regular a&g mini's no longer can be found, just the regular back.
