Thank you all for the kind words Smiley  There are so many different ways of collecting, the best part of collecting these six inserts is that each one offers the exact variations of each card.  If you have a red mini of four of them including #83 then certainly it is worth shooting for a red mini of each, or a brooklyn back and so on, One might be shooting for no #'s and black mini's of each as it will be more obtainable, trying to put say 1/1 glossy's together might be too costly when the #83 finally surfaces.  So I am a true treasure hunter of these cards and will remain.  This group is a little of the past, the present, and the future.  Enjoy Roll Eyes

Very nice dolphriends!!  Shocked

So much eye candy with (2) 1/1s and a 1/5 but my eyes go right for the black mini and the A&G back mini as I have neither.  Tongue

First mini glossy i've seen.  Nice score on that one.

Say it ain't so Dolphriends.  I thought you were into hodling these cards for the long run.

Will be posting a very special group of inserts very soon, including a black mini cryptocurrency Smiley  the red mini 1/5 #18 , the silver mini 1/1 #204, 1/1 #204 glossy which is my favorite, the brooklyn back #18 , brooklyn back #204 and an A&G back #83.   Smiley

Red 5/5 card changes hands.

Was purchased at a bargain since the black mini's are now offered around 600.00 and there are only a few.    The last black mini sold for 400.00 which I believe makes the red mini worth 10X muliplier.
The red mini's are no where to be found.  As far as any 1/1's go the sky is the limit.  I still hold true that if you want a certain card just pay the price unless you are super lucky at opening packs.  Anyway, congratz to whoever won that incredible red mini  Smiley Smiley

I will have a grouping of cards coming up later this evening you won't want to miss.  Several #83 mini's including a black mini, #84 undersea preserve yellow printing plate, #84 brooklyn back, #84 no # and black mini, along with black mini's of the solar eclipse and the cyclone bomb.   Smiley  If anyone has a pack of the crypto community cards they want to sell or trade, I am interested.

Please hurry! My popcorn is getting stale.

Just kidding.  Glad to see all the various cards displayed.  One strange thing I noticed is how light the solar eclipse card is compared to the others. I'll add a picture at some point

picture below. note how pale it is compared to the other cards.  Easy to spot in a stack.

Modify them, or email the guys selling them and ask if the can accommodate your measurements, be pro-active,  dolphfriends was.

Thanks but I am not interested in the custom display case route. The album solution works well for me: it is compact, inexpensive and allows me to easily enjoy my collection. If I ever fill up the album I can just buy a second one:)

Sure I researched the glass top display cases out there but they all hold ANACS or PCGS 3 3/16" by 2 7/16" slabs not the Ultra-Pro's which measure 4 5/16" by 2 7/8".

That's why @dolphriends had to modify one of the existing cases to fit the Ultra-Pro's. Show me a link to a glass topped wood display case which is sold to accommodate Ultra-Pro's if you have it, I certainly could not find one. Plus, the collector album storage is inexpensive, can hold up to 32 cards in Ultra-Pro's and fits on a bookshelf.

Here is a photo after I loaded some cards in magnet holders in the four pocket platinum page. The pockets are open at the top so they definitely need to be sealed with scotch tape otherwise one wrong move and your cards slide out. Looks like I could store 7 or possibly 8 pages loaded with cases in that three ring binder before it is full.

I don't think he was referencing having found black/red/silver that are ALSO a Brooklyn or NNO, rather a base mini of this variation.  I've pulled a base Brooklyn back from an X case, and guessing my experience is far less than the previous commenters.

Got it, could you post a photo of the base brooklyn back you pulled.  Is it regular size or mini?

Mini.  Admittedly it was of a baseball player (?!) so I didn't give it much thought.  Check out some case/box breaks on YouTube of Ginter X. I've seen a few of each variation pulled on camera.

If you know of a 2018 allen and ginter X case break where a brooklyn or no # or glow in the dark or base regular card(not black) are pulled please post it here.  This I really want to see   I found nothing on you tube

Thanks

I have noticed there were a few more special inserts than what I first thought,  #83 of course, #84, #222 and #259.  I also noticed #18 and #204 were in this list identified in black lettering.  I always enjoy collecting the special inserts as it adds some depth to set.

Are you saying that the #18 and #204 cards are part of the Historical Event Series?

Regards,
Chris

Not really, just individual inserts that I like.  I like that they brought the bullpen car back and the future football stadium really looks impressive.   Cool.  I like to collect these inserts because they offer them in the super rare cards unlike the moons or peppers or beaches, etc.  There are 350 cards in the main set with only 6 inserts which are identified because they are not linked to any statistics, ie they are not baseball players.   Smiley Smiley

I don’t think so.... they are in black because there is no link to the player’s information Wink

I don't have the talent @dolphriends has for making custom display cases but I am starting to accumulate cards and needed an inexpensive way to store them safely and still be able to enjoy them.

This is probably old news to the long time card collectors here but for newcomers like me the solution I came up with is to use an Ultra Pro Collector's Album with four pocket platinum pages that fit the Ultra Pro magnetic cases just fine.

After I load the cards into the Ultra Pro magnet cases I plan to cover the cases with BCW Team Bags to prevent accidental opening a tip I learned from Sport Card Storage Tips: Magnet Cases. That 3 inch album will be able to hold more cards than I plan to buy. Everything is available on Amazon. Here is a pic before I started loading cards:

Wow, actually that is a pretty cool way to store and still be able to see the cards easily.  First time I have seen this done.  Great job and idea BNM. Smiley   Thank you for the kind words.
