Can anyone spare the 0.2 i lost to this? It's a lot to me. Sad
I don't have much. I was just mixing it overnight... And then this.

I'd do the email thing but it says only if you have more than 1 BTC D:
Thank you if you can help, I've never asked for money before...

STOP SPAMMING THIS STUFF, you learned a lesson. If anyone gives this person, you are hindering him from learning a lesson.

So I guess the lesson is that all on line wallets are unsafe including those used by all vendors and all exchanges. If that were true that would be the end of bitcoin.
Nice troll job. No wonder your ignore button is yellow.
I didn't know I would lose half of all I got to a service that would be cleaned out the very next day! I certainly learned the lesson about online wallets, but I was just mixing them so that I might not have had to spend everything I have at once~

There IS a lesson to be learned here, but not being compensated won't keep me from learning it... I mean, i've lost half of everything. No fiat Sad

Research, never risk more than you can afford to lose, now you will be more careful. Expensive lesson but it was taught and much needed for newbies.
I've been using bitcoins since March.
And I only planned on using inputs.io one time.

Ok you didn't research... look at the situation... multiple times he has been accused of scamming, he even scammed newbies and bragged about it. So why you even used it one time, just shows you didn't research. He wasn't the only mixer in town, bitcoinfog, bitcoin laundry plenty of mixers around.
I'm not rich. I can't afford mixing. I'm sorry for thinking it was okay to utilize inputs for an hour. I haven't heard anything about it stealing the balances of people's wallets before now. I didn't choose to be poor I chose to try to be resourceful  Cry

It is 1% if you can't afford that then don't use it! 1% is like a little more than a transaction fee. UGH people like this aren't resourceful, you choose to be ignorant and look what happened.
Ignorant? When before today has an inputs.io balance been emptied?

Why did you need to mix it unless you was doing something criminal, serves you right.

By that reasoning all TF has to do is claim people were using inputs.io for mixing, then he becomes a good person. lol right

I simply wanted to make an anonymous purchase. One that hides my actual balance (so that the other guy thought that I didn't have enough to pay full price)
Call me cheap, but I don't have a lot :L

TradeFortress,

Can I get a refund for the XRP that you stole from the Ripple Faucet before I banned you?

I expect a full 100% reimbursement.  The Ripple Faucet's address is r2hrqyjdLCBSkB6ADLpWkWtYFK96w1xMn.  You didn't just steal from me, but you also stole from all the other people who donated to the Ripple Faucet.

This is probably a stupid question but if 51% of the community agreed that those are stolen coins could that transaction be reversed and/or a new blockchain branch be embraced? Wasn't something like that done once before?

ps-I know the encryption cannot be reversed.

By the way this is the "bargaining" phase of grief (between denial and anger).  Shocked Angry

Edit: I guess I was thinking of BTC-E. They had a back up ledger and reimbursed all losses but this did not involve the blockchain. Compared to all cases looks like this will rank #1 and #2 in bitcoin heist history.
Unfortunately it's cases like this that will get government involved in regulating bitcoin because bitcoin users themselves will demand it if they keep getting cheated.

If 4100 BTC were stolen, which address were they sent to?

Publish the blockchain info for the stolen coins, otherwise it's safe to assume there were no stolen coins.

Here you go.

http://blockchain.info/tx/9536feebe3a50b94f85ca27d56e669a7209bd4188385d55c5b97227c95cf7f74

The stolen coins are still unspent in https://blockchain.info/address/1EMztWbGCBBrUAHquVeNjWpJKcB8gBzAFx

Looks like the stolen coins were then sent to https://blockchain.info/tx/c8c34cd7845b4656d21db657aa64620c35361585a25f4890baf588daa3ef6d0f
and it looks like a BlockChain wallet.
I would contact the BlockChain.info owners to verify this.

Coins on the move

https://blockchain.info/address/1Cdc4GYDCfKdsp8o5KNg6z7XjRaSPpDBA4

Also if this is true - then TF needs to refund this guy fully, since he deposited on Nov 2nd after the stolen coins.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1q3rpp/tradefortress_stole_30_of_my_btc/

Don't you get that is not how fractional reserves work ? The guy deposits 30 BTC, someone else withdrawals 30 BTC, the first guy can no longer be served in full.

the sun is shining, but the ice is still slippery
Sorry I am reposting this post from coinlenders as this is how I mourn. After this , you will not hear any more crying out of me. Really effing sh*tty day today...

On November 7, 2013, the sun doesn't seem to shine as bright as it use to. The thought of a global network hashing at 2.8 Petahashes does seem to arouse as much excitement as it once did. The idea of a P2P web of trust beyond world power controls doesn't seem as illustrious as it once did. A dark day it is indeed. Black Thursday

It took me 2 years, many late nights and much diligence to accumulate 6 BTC. Starting with faucets, then moving on to pushing small volume on violitile BTC & security exchange markets. All it took was 1 month to loose it all. The first half of my lose occurred through a close Internet friend of 4 years(who actually brought bitcoin to my attention) a P2P loan that defaulted. The second half of my loss now comes from this fiasco.

I was not ignorant of the high risk involved with placing my hard earned BTC on coinlenders. But when you roll small BTC numbers the rewards seems to outweigh the risk involves until you loose it all.  All of it....

why are people storing millions of dollars on VPS servers?

Thats how it should be. He should have easily made the monthly income from the services to run this on dedicated systems, and not managed ones.

Oops, he should take down that first post shouldn't he? Again, why are people storing millions of dollars on linode VPS servers?

so they can be "hacked"
