When some government is trying to ban bitcoin then why should we care about a social media platform that has such a strict policy towards bitcoin that they won't allow their users to chat about it? Also that platform is popular for its image sharing so what is the point of talking about bitcoin there anyway? Who is going to notice or how does it make any difference for the bitcoin community.

Ehh whatever. It doesn't really make much sense to have Bitcoin discussion on Instagram — an image photo sharing platform. If I were to guess most of the Bitcoin-related posts there are scams anyway.
Scam indeed, they are indeed lots of scammers who have used that platform to exploit weakness in most of the users there and one thing that is certain is that no matter how they continue to warn people still fall victim of the cases. For Instagram to ban Bitcoin, well I would not be surprised although I know they are also benefiting from some of the video ads that some of major CEX and wallet software like LUNO do on their platform.

This is shocking news for the Bitcoin banned by Instagram. From its platform, the conversation about Bitcoin and Bitcoin was hidden by Instagram. Until now, Instagram has not given an official statement about this, but there are several users who have started to be affected. Why do you think it is? Is it because Libra and Diem that the project failed or was it ordered by SC or the revenge of the Winklevos brothers who are rich from Bitcoin. Instagram is clearly a platform that does not support freedom of speech and only displays content according to the algorithm they want. What do you think guys ?

Facebook and Instagram are no longer as effective as they used to be. In fact, it has no effect in most countries. If X had done this situation, I couldn't say the same things because X's impact is quite big.

This decision taken for Instagram does not bring any change to Bitcoin, on the contrary, it results in Instagram putting its name in the wrong place. Social media can no longer influence Bitcoin like it used to. In other words, it is not news that deserves much attention. Bitcoin is stronger and more robust than social media.

This will mostly affects those people who promote their project using that platform because I don't think instagram has a positive effects on bitcoin growth, so far bitcoin has already gain popularity even though instagram decided not to allow any content that involves cryptocurrency or bitcoin to be published over there doesn't restricts the growth and widespread of bitcoin also the entire advancement of blockchain technology.
I won't be surprised because of facebook do tried their best to make sure they launched their currency but so far I didn't hear any news about them anymore, so I think that same thing could likely affect IG as well.

I was present not aimed at drawing the final conclusions of every opinion because of the Instagram Banned Bitcoin post as the original post title.
@muliyadi227 which has the right to make conclusions because the meeting point has been obtained.
Instagram Banned Bitcoin is not very regretted for Bitcoin lovers because it is far from what people want who do not like to show off wealth and show off things that are privacy on social media.

They did not ban BTC only, instead, they banned all crypto-related posts published on their platform, well, I use Instagram almost daily, and I rarely find any BTC-related posts, maybe that's because I don't follow crypto-related channels but I do follow one and there posts are save. I will say, if they did not make any official statement then we should not panic and should not give that much importance to this controversy.

Because if they are even banning such posts, then let them, it is in their own harm, as they will lose the users that are there for crypto updates only, and if only a few user's accounts have been banned by the Instagram then they might be violating the rules.

And you care totally right about freedom of speech because all centralized platforms of Meta (FB, Whatsapp, Instagram, etc.) are so manipulative, that they even give like from your Facebook page, or profile to Israel-based pages without informing us.

I have several posts about bitcoin that have not been deleted.  Is there an official statement about this anywhere??

Since I don't use Instagram that much, even when I open an account, it doesn't even get logged in. But from what I saw from some sources many scammers use instagram to promote their projects etc, if this is the reason for banning bitcoin or crypto currency related posts then I think not bad.
Moreover, I don't have any headache with these decisions of Facebook, x(Twitter) Instagram etc social media. Because they take these decisions whether they are pressured by other rules or regulations or for their own profit. So I don't think any of these reasons will have a big effect on our Bitcoin market.

I don't know the background of why Instagram banned anything related to bitcoin, this raises a lot of contraception that is very unclear why they banned anything related to bitcoin, but I just checked several accounts related to bitcoin, such as @bitcoinmagazine and @bitcoin.conference, their posts are still there and still complete I think, some information as well as bitcoin hastags in the sentences conveyed in their posts are also still on their Instagram accounts.

From the news of the ban, I don't know which posts have been deleted by instagram, but overall this does not have any effect on bitcoin itself either on the market or in increasing its adoption, after all I am quite sure that it is very rare for active people on instagram to trade bitcoin.

Indeed, this is surprising news for Instagram users to ban Bitcoin from their platform. The conversation about Bitcoin was hidden by Instagram until now Instagram has not provided an official statement on this matter.

But there are already several users who seem to be starting to be affected by this ban. Could it be because Libra and Diem's project failed, or because it was ordered by the SEC or the revenge of the Winkleos who got rich from Bitcoin. For me it's okay that the more bitcoin is banned the more popular it becomes.

But what is clear is that Instagram is a platform that does not support freedom of speech and only displays content according to the algorithm they want. This is very different from X (twitter) which emphasizes freedom of speech. The question is whether Facebook will also follow Instagram which banned bitcoin?

As far as I know, Bitcoin is banned because of scammers who use it to scam investors. And then the banning of cryptocurrencies on Instagram started when ICOs' projects were trending. So we can't blame the Instagram platform either.

They just removed the clutter that Instagram thinks is polluting their social media platform. The only thing that is not really good is that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that have been in this industry for a long time are being misused.
Some scammers want to take huge advantage by using it for promoting which is not allowed for Instagram platform. So I don't anxious if they ban it. Instagram is a good platform for photo sharing where they can stop spamming activity if they deserve it. I have seen some Twitter accounts banned in 2020 who promoted ICO. But it wasn't for everyone. Some specific accounts that behaved suspiciously. I think Bitcoin has no problem with that. Because the truth is that Instagram is not a suitable platform for Bitcoin discussions. But the popularity of Bitcoin may allow it to be re-active even after a period of restrictions.

I don't use instagram that much anymore that's why I personally isn't affected by this but surely there are people or company that are affected by this bitcoin post ban. Instagram is under Meta so I'm speculating that facebook is next? This is the reason why we need a somehow decentralized online platform or something that is open to cryptocurrency like twitter. I'm just skeptical of the primary reason of instagram for the ban that it is for the community protection. I wonder if they will lift this ban soon.
Instagram is not a good medium to promote bitcoin so even if instagram bans bitcoin it will not affect bitcoin. Most of the posts and discussions about Bitcoin are on Twitter and Reddit, so even if Facebook bans Bitcoin, there will be no shortage of Bitcoin promotion. I don't use Instagram either so I'm not surprised Instagram bans Bitcoin. Instagram is a beauty house, so only pictures of girls are suitable here, not bitcoins ha ha  Cheesy

I don’t use Instagram for anything crypto or Bitcoin related. It’s full of fake ads.
I saw an ad once where someone claimed to be able to predict crypto prices with 100% success Posting on Telegram. I thought that was pretty shady.
There are also some shady ads out there. Some people post basic stuff about Bitcoin just to get followers and make some money by selling their courses. I don’t follow any of those, but I do follow some reliable news sites.

I don't use Instagram and I am not aware of their ban against Bitcoin and conversation about Bitcoin. Reading your post, I would like to find announcement from Instagram but I got this Binance feed.

Instagram Bans Bitcoin Posts : New Controversy Unfolds

It happened two weeks ago.
Instagram suspend accounts for posting about Bitcoin.

Only Bitcoin, but still allows shit coins. They did a right thing and great job to block a best cryptocurrency while allows many scam coins on their media platform.
Thanks for providing the links, you saved some time, hypothetically speaking this is not a good act as you have already said, because in no way this is going to help them and to be honest, I think OP is not sure if the main reason of banning those users is only due to BTC. Because they might have violated some rules and that might have got them banned. Wait a second, this is not the case, few days back when the Hamas and Israel war started, those accounts, which supported the Hamas or Palestine got banned after updating the Instagram.

I already read that post and did not updated my Instagram, even though I did not made any posts against Israel or in support of Hamas or Palestine. But still, the main reason might be that.

They should really have not banned such posts because cryptocurrency has no bad impact on them, but as op said, Instagram does not support freedom of speech and BTC is totally opposite of it that's why they wants to ban such posts but I am still seeing many shitcoins posts daily.

This dreary social network for narcissists and those who worship things and appearance has once again proved that they are on the path of regression. Obviously, if Instagram is managed by Meta, then Zuckerberg will also ban posts about Bitcoin on Facebook. But I don't care, I don't use any of these boring social networks. I see many examples when people and organizations change their attitude to Bitcoin to a positive one, such as Kiyosaki. And of course this is the right decision.

I don't use and don't like Instagram so any such information will not affect they may think that this initiative has been taken so that no one can cheat the users using the Instagram medium. Referring to an ad with this title Instagram says that buying bitcoins will not be allowed. There will be no impact on bitcoin will grow at its own pace bitcoin and several other leading cryptocurrencies are gaining interest here. Many more cryptocurrencies are being launched in this opportunity even if Instagram doesn't support it the demand for bitcoin will remain the same and continue to grow.

From what I’ve managed to see, it’s not an really a ban on Bitcoin to date, but rather it seems that some accounts have been banned (temporalily or, I’m not sure is some, permanently) having allegedly generated content related to bitcoin. Unless anyone has seen otherwise, the amount of cases seems scarce, and is therefore not a norm, nor do we know the specifics that lead to those bans.

There are surely more bans on Bitcointalk of people whose posts are versing on Bitcoin than on Instagram to date, but unless we know the reasons behind we can’t really understand what’s going on (i.e. there are thousands of accounts banned on Bitcointalk talking about bitcoin … for plagiarizing or scamming).

Indeed, the recent news is surprising, crypto investors can no longer post about Bitcoin on Instagram on October 6.

Instagram reportedly prohibits users from posting about Bitcoin, several creators said that content related to Bitcoin was taken down or deleted by Instagram, including when searching #bitcoin, there is also information that Instagram is hiding content. This restriction is probably to protect Instagram users from the spread of scams and fraud.

But Instagram rules have long prohibited advertising or promotions related to Ico and have special regulations for crypto products and services so far Bitcoin content on Instagram investments is not taken. So it seems that as long as the content shared is useful, there is no sales element and it is not misleading, it should still be safe. .

From here we can judge that it is clear that Twitter is better for the crypto community than Instagram.
