And don't worry about getting banned, it's pretty hard to get banned unless you are outright trolling or spamming.

this Bitcoin thing has become somewhat of an obsession of mine..  maybe because i don't fully understand it yet..  I thought about asking someone in the "know" to help explain this to me for a free... ...  I thought twice and figured that might be against forum rules and my chances of getting an honest teacher is 1 million to 1.....


so anyway i am still fascinated by this whole idea that i pray maybe someone out there is willing to help me get setup without robbing me blind.   I have resources that i think would possibly make for a somewhat lucrative partnership..  I learn fast and i am so excited to learn about this even if its just little bits of info at a time..   I'd be endlessly great full for a simple .. kind of like a 1 step 2,3 4, 5,... step process so i don't get ahead of myself.. i like organization..   from reading this forum most people seem to have good idea's how to protect yourself..  i also know at the same time some internet troll is probably liking his lips reading this post.  Just waiting to pounce and rob me clean..

I'm a Ron Paul supporter and the idea of decentralized banking sounds like heaven to me.  It almost sounds like the future in its infant stage of course...


please if i have broken any forum rules here i am sorry.. i read the forum rules and if i missed a rule that says what i am doing right now is wrong please don't ban me just let me know and I'll stop immediately .. hell i might even give a donation to the forum to settle my debt..  lol i might have broken a rule by saying that...  scratch that I'll just give a donation anyway. 

I am so excited to learn more, will someone help me weed through all the different advice.. I'm sure its all good advice, there is just to much to go through.. its all out of order i get lost fast...

I just want to know where to start, then where to go next so on and so on.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.   

i know it's a long shot that someone will even help me but i am willing to do almost anything to get this system down.  If no one helps I'll be around trying to do this on my own, i just pray i don't lose my life savings as i go along..

Although it's possible, that isn't the most likely explaination.  There is a 'dark pool' at MtGox, that allows major speculators to have standing orders that are not visable until they are in play, under the logic that a major speculator could shift the mood of the rest of the market and potentially trigger a panic.  We can argue whether or not such a panic would occur regardless, but the pool exists nontheless.

I am somewhat new to Bitcoin, but feel that I have a pretty complete knowledge of how it works so far. I have read both of the Bitcoin White Papers and the original Primer. I found out about this forum on Twitter and, although the design looks like utter shit, the quality of the members on this forum makes feel like my stay here will be great.

another question I'd like to post.  Probably doesn't belong here, but I'm new

Is it possible that Mt. Gox is jumping in front of orders?   I've noticed that when I put a bid or sell in, by the time I put it in their order page which is javascript, another entry will show up in the order books by a few cents more or less (depending on buy or sell).   Additionally,  I've noticed orders of 3.33 stacked on top of mine at the same price.   Either these are computer triggered or put in by the market maker? (Mt. Gox)  But if they are computer triggered they are uber fast and sometimes before I even hit submit which would be possible with the javascript order page.

thoughts?   I have no reason to suspect wrongdoing on Mt. Gox's part or anything other than I've noticed strange "coincidental" behavior.

I'm Chris, got interested in bitcoin back in the 30$ haydays.  Started hashing with a 4870, now upgraded to ~1.2 ghash total.

Currently working on a modular spartan-6 design (pcb and fpga design in the past) with pluggable cards.  Hoping to have a standalone solution that will fit in a mini-itx form factors.

Looking forward to chatting and developing more!
