OK, I live in California, have been Bitcoin mining since late June / early July, was (at one point) sucking about 40 Amps (20 from one circuit and 20 from another) to power a total of 8 mining rigs, subsequently got kicked out of the single room office I had been renting (not just for Bitcoin mining), now I'm mining in another rented office on only 3 rigs. It's still hot in there :-)

I kind of doubt that anybody reads this...

Forgot to say, right now I'm interested in FPGA mining (due to the lower power draw) and have ordered a ZTEX board, but it hasn't arrived yet and I think it is too expensive. I'm not criticizing ZTEX - as a business, they need to price their products so that they make a profit on them, but their margin makes their product too expensive for commercial Bitcoin mining.

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself.

I am having fun playing around with the technical side of bitcoin. Working on FPGA mining, and it is coming along ok. I am interested in finding out more about other bitcoin cousins such as namecoin and litecoin.

mostly just having fun

Hello,

I've been involved with Bitcoin for more than half a year; mining, selling, observing and buying. I have already spent considerable time here on the boards; reading, laughing and plotting.

I guess it's high time to mingle. I genuinely believe that bitcoin has merit with its uses, but like anything, it needs time to grow and mature.

So cheers!

ahoj,  got infected from a friend with the bitcoin virus. Living in Austria :-)
Somehow really interesting idea to start a currency that is independent from banks and nations. Didnt totally get the whole system but will dig deeper now.

When my friend told me about bitcoin the course was around 3$ now it rocketed in 2 month up to over 5$. Now Iam sad that I didnt buy some when he told me first ;-)
