Hi all. I am developer. English is not my native language. And I have a huge CPU power.
CPU mining it pretty much irrelevant.
Not for alt currencies such as litecoin.

CPU mining it pretty much irrelevant.  With a simple $30USD graphics card you can get at least 5 times as much hash power as the cpu.  Even a quad core 3ghz only gets 4-5 Mhash/s.  For any of you newbies starting, get a graphics card.

Hello:

First time I heard about Bitcoin was before the "big crash" (I don't know how you call it). It looked interesting, but I didn't pay much attention.
Last days, with the Euro crisis (yep, I'm from Europe), I remembered what I've read about Bitcoin, so I googled to catch up, and this forum was one of the places where I landed Smiley
So right now I'm looking for ways to buy bitcoins. I'd like to earn them, instead of buying, and that's what I'd like to do in a future.

I'm newly registered, but have been viewing this forum for months.  Posting arbitrarily until I can post where I actually want to.

I'm into bitcoins for some time now and have done my fair share of mining (bitcoins and altcoins) and trading.

After several months reading (leeching) this forum, I think it makes sense to be actually able to reply to posts I'm reading  Smiley ...

In this spirit - 1 down, 4 to go

see you around

Pretty sure I started a standalone thread, but here goes:

I am just yet another tech guy.  Not a programmer or a cracker, hacker, or any kind of professional or hobbyists that delves into software.

I am a chemist by education (graduate student in materials science), but tech stuff is and always has been a relevant part of my life since I was maybe 11 years old

my main goal here is join one of the premiere "industry" standard communitities to give me an outlet for communications.

I hope to see bitcoins emerge from the predominantly "grey area payment system" that it seems to occupy now.

I have a few ideas on that note that are probably just one of a few million that people have come up with as a mens of making bitcoins relevant inernationally and to take the pressure off it due to certain unnamed services giving it a bad image from the national LE level.

I hope to start a fruitful blogging/posting career here, and I offer good luck and greetings to all else who wish for a similar future.

I'm a new member but kind of a long time reader. Never look at the newbie sub-forum before. I was wondering why I could reply to any thread.
I guess I'll have to share my two cent why you guys for a while before going up in the big league Tongue
cheers!

Hi everyone, I've been lurking around this forum for about 2 months and finally decided to make myself known.

I'm currently running 2x5750's and 1x5830 with plans to continually upgrade, unfortunately the funds aren't always readily available but new hardware will be added when feasible.

I am randomusername8236 I've been reading posts and trading since around June, and thought perhaps I've become knowledgeable enough to add to the discussion on the fascinating phenomenon which is Bitcoin.

I am relatively new to bitcoin but have learned much about bitcoin in the past week or so. I have some questions directly to a specific mining pool once I am able to get out of the newbie section.
