Hi, I've been following bitcoin since about June, when it was mentioned in connection with silk road etc.

Lately I've been wondering if I can find a way to accept bitcoin on a website I own that sells event tickets and other things, and also wanting to see if
I could convince my international partners to pay me using bitcoin, since currently international wire transfer fees eat into profits.

I've been getting my son interested in bitcoin and just got him some for an xmas present, to see what he does with it (hopefully try trading it and not spending it on silk road!)

I guess I'll post individual topics with my questions as per above.

Hey I just started reading about bitcoins a few months ago.  I got into them when I could tell the price started going up (~$3.00) and they've taken off so I'm satisfied.

This forum is very helpful, and I even got a bunch of information about mining even though I've decided it doesn't make sense for me.

Hoping to rack up enough posts to get out of here and be able to post in speculation or economics, where I browse the most.

I've been playing with the whole bitcoin thing since about april now, but just never felt a need to be able to write things in the forum before.  I made some good cash mining before the mt gox hack and now i'm back playing again with my new fpga.  fun stuff.

It requires some figuring out but it's a really cool idea.

this is joseph2012. my hobbies are reading, playing chess, programming, and DIY stuff.

Interested in trading and getting rid of that Credit Card interest fees, so I ended up using bitcoins!

In my other times, of course I have my own job.

Cheers!

Hello everybody

I'm very liberal. I like the concept of non-violent personal freedom, free markets etc. Bitcoin fits in with my ideologies and values.

I hope to make some friends here and contribute what I can.

Hi! I'm Michael and I'm very interested in Bitcoins. I've been following them and leaning about them for some time now and just decided to take part in this forum. I hope this forum will help me to learn more about this revolutionary currency. It may just be the greatest innovation since the Internet itself!

I'm a software developer, 30 years old, I live in germany. Whenever I think about bitcoin, at first it seems that it would cause a lot of problems because it allows you to circumvent the tax system. On the other hand if that ever becomes a problem, there will always be solutions which are much fairer and more efficient than the current monetary system - all based on bitcoin. It really gives power back to the people.

Honestly, I think bitcoin is here to change everything, just like the internet.

Hello Everyone, I am new to the forums and using forums in general so if I do something stupid when trying to post something I apologies in advance.

I am a nineteen University student majoring in Political Science and minoring in religious studies. I watched Paranormal State since it premiered and I have all the dvd's, this show really got me interested in thinking about the paranormal and religion. I never had paranormal experiences as a child but have always believed in the paranormal and I have had some experiences in the past few years since my friend moved into a haunted house.

I am looking forward to meeting new people and learning from everyone here.

Extra fun fact time: I am one of the taller women in my immediate family, but I'm only 5'3. I was really tall as a little kid and grew really fast then just... stopped haha. My favorite Crypto zoology creatures have to be... fairies, and the Jersey Devil. I am very open to learning about different religions/spiritual practices.

Hello from Maryland!

I love the idea and premise that Bitcoin brings to the table of this world. With the dollar slowly but surely failing, and with increased controls on my paper money, I would love for a united worldwide currency to thrive in the fashion Bitcoin could provide.

I'm excited in this venture, and in all honesty I hope to be able to sell items and purchase items in the market section using Bitcoins. I want to support it. I don't look at this as a potential profit, but more as an investment in the future of Bitcoins and my hope of their success!
