On the off chance that I were you I wont just concentration in bitcoin, I need to consider altcoins on the grounds that there are numerous coins that has potential not just btc, there are likewise  ltc,Eth neo  etc and so on. Its better to broaden your speculation since you are wanting to contribute $3k its a decent capital really to begin with.

Hello,

A question of a beginner, I read several articles that say better invest in bitcoin only (most of the articles are from 2015-2016), but as bitcoin exceeds now $2500, I do not know if this rule still holds.

I want to invest a lot of money (let's say $3000), but I do not know if I have to invest only in bitcoin or other altcoins? What do you recommend?

Thank you
My advice if you want to invest not only in Bitcoin alone. But there must also be other coin reserves that are good also if used as an investment asset. What I'm worried about if you just focus on one coin is that if the coin is dead you do not have any other coins you usually rely on. So I suggest you invest in some of the best coins.

that is why we should always have a back up plan (i.e investing on some alts or tokens ) because bitcoin cant always give us a stable profit. there is a saying that called "dont put your eggs in one basket " because if you loose you loose it all but if you win you also win big although the the percent of winning is only 30% out of 100 . So thats it , much better if you can just always spread your capital across to some other profitable coins in order to lessen the risk but at the same time increasing your chance of winning.

Bitcoin is good for investing, especially long-term investments.
When you decide to invest long-term with Bitcoin, then you have a chance to earn greater profits.
Conversely, if you are investing in Bitcoin in the short term, the benefits will be small, because Bitcoin is often down and up.
The second option for investment is Ethereum, this coin also has a good advantage.
Despite being under Bitcoin, but this coin is very good.

Anyone advises you to spread your portfolio for minimal loss and maximum profit, there are a lot of good coins now that's worth investing, there are a lot of early investors on Ethereum that are now very rich and there are a lot of coins that show going to eth and bitcoin's way.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found a hidden GEM called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on ICO stage and already trading on some exchanges, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/future-of-privacy-ethereum-meta-foundation-of-anonymous-e-marketplace-2659058

I started with investing in bitcoin a few years ago. I was very happy about the profit, because it was much more than aanything. But soonafter I learned about alternative coins and realized that I can earn even more. I think you will pass this way too.

I think you should invest in BTC and ETH so that it will reduce the risk of allocating risk and profit in many places. That is the strategy in business. Do not put eggs in the same basket. So the ability to lose capital is very high.

According to date of the post it was right. But I still think so. It’s easier to control your funds. You can make short and long operations and always earn.

Investing in bitcoin is the right choice, especially in bitcoin itself has a good prospect for the future if it is in an asset made and will be able to earn huge profits. But it would be nice if capital is not only invested in bitcoin alone, investing well into other altcoins that have bright future prospects.

There's a lot of coins here that evolves like bitcoin, coins like eth and other coins are only worth 10% of their presence cost, so you think of spreading your portfolio, you can invest on Bitcoin but also look on other alternative coins like Waves, Stellar and Litecoin and of course Ethereum.

A logical strategy. But the subcons are only less profitable than they are. But BTC is more reliable in declining.

Now it is possible to divide the risks of your crypto portfolio into several cryptocurrencies. But there is a problem that often, all cryptocurrencies are moving in the same direction.

My advice is, you should invest Bitcoin and Ethereum because these 2 coins are the best coins in the crypto market.
If we invest in a coin that has guaranteed value then the profits will be earned.
Both coins are coins that have high numbers compared with another altcoin.
Please study it.

It is up to you, if you will only invest in bitcoin and you think you will gain more, go ahead, there is nonharm in doing so, you might get fortune out of it, but do not just focus on bitcoin alone, there is already a huge market for altcoins, and not only that, there is a huhe space in the market for altcoins to grow, however, you will need a good understanding on how the market moves, there are times when bitcoin goes up, all altcoins go down and vice-versa. Your knowledge in trading will help you win in the market,  and focusing in judt one cryptocurrency will only limit your growth, just like in the stock market, you should learn how to diversify, so that in any case that you see bitcoin going down, one or more of your altcoins is going up, do not just focus on beating the inflation in fiat, also focus on how you can win in the market, be it bullish or bearish.

I think you should not invest in bitcoin alone, you can invest in ETH or in NEO, because ETH and NEO also have good potential for the future
Do not forget XRP some banks in the world have started to glance and cooperate with XRP. one of the banks in Indonesia has been working with XRP.
of course this is the first step banks will begin to be interested in blockchain technology.

if you were about to ask the same question today, well with the price of almost $8,000 bitcoin wasn't the best to solely invested for your $3,000 it can even buy half of this huge coin, whybnot consider ethereum as secondary option to put all ofhat amount.because the last dip gives the ethereum invetor a chance to buy and collect before it grows again and recover from the dip

at risk, if investing in one coin only because if the decline is certainly very high losses. Maybe the spread of capital you have available to the potential crypto some coins that can generate a lot of profit.

bitcoin investment is only suitable for the long term, it is estimated that prices will continue to rise, imagine if we collect a lot of bitcoin now and start it a few years ahead may be very profitable

Put your money in bitcoin it is good for long term investment. You can possibly have high profit if it will go to the moon. Pretty sure of that for it is proven that bitcoin will survive for more years to come.
