It depends on the seller and coins you are investing. Some ICO are scams and not safe to invest but most of it are good. This is a good way also of investing in cheaper coins that eventually may rise in price and be a good investment.

It is true, the scammy ICOs will take advantage of people out to make a quick buck, but reputable ones such as the team behind Hero, RoboAdvisor etc should be okay to invest in.

I think it depends on the ICO, if ICO is very potential, I think this is good, because it can get profit. but if the ICO does not have the potential, I think this is not good, because it will be quite difficult to get profit.
We require some regulatory body which can differentiate between a good or bad ICO. Because it becomes difficult for us as well to understand sometimes that a good iCO turn out to be a bad one as they take away the money or its a total flop. This is causing various investors to stay away from the good ICO as well.
I been invested in some ICO and the result 70% of all that ICO given me profit. This is depend on the your analysis that you did, if your really understand about the fundamental of the project and if you learn about aim of the project. Then if you have good money management and risk management , so investing in ICO will promising profit. And other important think is always use money willing to lose to invest in it.

The logic behind investing in an ICO is good but sometimes people can’t put in to practice. So many scams keep trying to take people’s money and get away with it and this naturally discourages investors . Also creates a bad image for ICOs.
I would also like to know more about future of this industry... from my experience, I feel that conferences could be a good way to learn bor what is a blockchain... I found this one https://blockshowasia.com/ and I'm thinking to go, but tickets are not so cheap, but I suppose it could worth it... what do you think guys? have you heard about it? what do you think about conferences as a way of learning and networking?
There are two possibilities. If you invest in an ICO that has good potential, then your investment can be said to be successful. But if you invest in an ICO that does not have good potential or even a scam, then your investment is said to be FAILED. I can still say investment is good if investing in an appropriate ICO is not a SCAM project.

Those are investing in the ico get a lot of the return for their money. Lisk, ethereum, waves, and another good ico have started from zero and today the price already worth a lot than the ico price.

The good thing in ICO'S if there any future for the coin but the bad thing is some of the Coin's are dummy and no value at all or worse scam. But if you want to try those two factor. Just give it a little bit investment. And do it in other ICO'S. How wonder if some of that coins will grow. You win !

Profit is important to all, but it is not all about it. How can you tell is ICO good or bad? With or
without potential? That is hard to predict, you need to have faith and invest some money, or time
to get some free tokens from advertising them. I am aware of risks, are you aware of it? Nothing
is sure and safe.
Investing in ICO`s is good! I do not suggest to anyone to sell house and to invest all that money,
invest how much you can afford to lose, if you have faith in project invest more. If you made a
mistake and you lost money, do not blame yourself, learn from your mistakes. I set up my mind to

An investment is always risky. The business angel meet the people, the chief, the manager, the team, analyze the business plan etc . Of course we are not professionnel and if you think well, we trust on a whitepaper of 20-30 pages and what we see in some video. It’s crazy no ?

I have seen that the current trend is that most ICOs are suffering enough to achieve their capitalization goals, and therefore many of them end up failing. Only a few exceptions get great benefits, so it is very important to be well informed before making a decision about it, and only invest the money you can afford to lose.

cos you can do your homework. I would rather invest in altcoins. Even take btc. It made 7x in 7 months.
The problem with ICOs is locking your money and loosing liquidity, But on the other hand if you choose a good one the return will be higher than trading with less work and stress.
