How much would you make as first amount? I was thinking  £50 bit even if this times by even 10 that's only 500.

Would 300 be a more realistic start

thats ok man. I started a trading account last year with 500 bucks so I would not touch my cold storage. I have seen growth of 25.000% at the peak. Down to about  12.000% with the drawdown but you do the math. Be patient and you will be rewarded.

It depends on how much amount you can afford to lose. $1,000 is good amount of money to start investment, when your money get doubled then you can cash out the half and the other half will be your long term investment. And also you can earn some money and make it an investment here in bitcoin.

About the amount of investment, of course all of us should be able to determine on the coins which's we pick and adapt it to the situation of the price movements as well as the time period in holding. One thing is clear., the investment amount is small or large, it will bring to a profits if we pick the right coins to choose from. Well it's not easy, but which obviously., a more chances to gain profits in crypto is really opened wide, it depends on us. For me, it's good if doing step by step from a small to a big, but still in carefully.

Just always remember what they say in investment "invest only what you could afford to lose"
I think it is the best advice that we could use in investment and also there is another one "don't put all your eggs in one basket".
I think you also need to look for another alternative or something that you could invest on .

Buy in little by little with perhaps $50 per week until you reach the maximum you feel comfortable with. You will not gain so much, but it will also soften the price drops.
of course these steps also adjust to market conditions that are running, if the price is not allow us to buy, better not forced to buy it

there is nothing wrong if a big thing we start from a small result, because it does not come just like that. everything needs a process and experience

The thing is, it all depends on how much money you have left over to invest in bitcoin because if you really believe in bitcoin i think that getting a lot of bitcoin is a pretty good option. Because the value of the bitcoin will keep rising.

Most people dont have much money as "left over" after calculating their savings and expenses. The ones who invest in crypto either have a lot of money at hand or are willing to convert their majority of savings into crypto for future returns. Simply believing the price rise in bitcoin does not affect the market much. You need to cash out money and then cash in during the pump cycles.

I am really willing to invest big into bitcoin

Dont invest "big". Invest what you can afford to lose. Dont end up getting into a debt to invest in bitcoin.

Each of us have our own prerogative thoughts which we think if it can be good for us. As we become part on this kind of job here in the forum we want have a great amount of money as it may lead on our profit income. Also, as we want to have an instant huge amount we want to invest like on different ICO project which we think it can benefit and might be demand in our society. Well, on my part I will do to invest whatever it takes it just the game win or lose. Hopefully I can have a great amount of profit as I just hold some of my shares.

I don't think that you need to mind the starting investment that you will make because the best strategy in investing is doing it regularly and that will give you profit for sure and not just one shot big shot. If you really want to get the best result then do it regularly and for long term and that will give you a lot of returns after a few years of holding the crypto that you have been invested.

The golden rule that traders follow is :"Never invest money you cannot afford to lose."
You didn't give us sufficient details about your plans and where will be your investment, thus it will be impossible to advice you about how many you should invest.
Just don't put all the eggs in one basket and try to invest your money in different projects.

It depends on you. How much money can you risk for an investment? No matter how big or small you invest into something, there is always a risk. If you can't take the risk then start with a small amount of money, but always remember that the riskier it is the more you will earn from it. So yeah, the decision is all yours anyway.
well an investment amount is really depend on how much money you can afford to loose to prevent nervous breakdown .i think we really need to make a limit in investing because we cant predict on the next moving of the price wethier it is goin to rise or to fall down.i believe  that being patience  is really a must if we do investing people really dont have patience that is why they loose.
No one will definitely lose money no matter how small and not really get pissed off at a point. However, there are sometimes you just do not have to be greedy in an investment and most especially if it is still not fully approved yet. Anything can happen, we might be optimistic but as long as we know that anything can happen negatively should be enough to drive us on the decision and the risk we are willing to take.
The thing is, it all depends on how much money you have left over to invest in bitcoin because if you really believe in bitcoin i think that getting a lot of bitcoin is a pretty good option. Because the value of the bitcoin will keep rising.

Either to be honest. I just don't want to put in 100 a month to wake up 1 morning to find rates have massively dropped

If that's going to cause you sadness then you shouldn't put a penny in. It could happen at any moment. People who put money in at the end of 2013 had to wait over three years to break even. There's a lot of risk however you want to look at it. Everyone here's taking it and that's why the rewards are potentially very high or non existent.
I really dont have enough knowledge about investing on how to buy shares in an particular campaign or ico. I hope i will learn it as soon as possible so that instead of keep posting i will give my money to be doubled up.

Investing amount depends on the amount that you can afford to lose. Cause you can never be sure what future holds and you should be able to make wise decisions. I think  10% to 30% of your savings is good for investment and when you are really into it and get the intuition to invest more then go for it. Life is about experiences and learn from it.
if I was better to give advice to you first wrote, better yes, if the investment is not much, if you are still a beginner. because the beginner is also not yet know the flow of investment how. so it's better to invest a little bit first, and later on if you can get a new big investment it does not matter.

Actually this is a good time to invest bitcoin, but because I have an urgent need and maybe not much can be invested in bitcoin and I certainly do not want to miss this exact moment to take a little advantage of this opportunity.

If you are putting 100 a month in bitcoin then sudden drop of prices will not be the issue. Even if there occurs a price drop deeper than usual bitcoin will recover in due course and cover those losses. I was referring to the price drop from 4800 dollars to the 3300 dollars few weeks ago. Now bitcoin is at 7100 dollars. Thus even if you decide to put your one week salary or 100 dollars per month is not that bad. In the long run that will give you better results than any other crypto.
With crypto it is very dangerous to have the long term relation. They are good for quick money but in long run it is bitcoin and bitcoin only.

Being new to this sector, currently I started with keeping 10% of my investment capital towards Cryptocurrencies and new ICOs.
Most of the investment money is going towards Bitcoin at the moment and very few in altcoins and negligible in ICOs.
I learned many ICO turns scam so kind off hesitating before moving ahead.
It is a good thing at least knowing that no matter what you are good to go which ever ways. 10% is good on a normal day, small for someone like me though as I have always had this huge things for risk and my intuitions has never failed me.

You should be careful with ICOs though by studying some of the projects pretty well, including the team before you move in so you do not end up losing your funds. No matter how small the percentage you are putting into them, it is still something.
