But they are not writing about Initial Exchange Offerings, I think that money raised by exchanges is much higher than ICOs can get from the retail investors.

I saw news that crypto ICO raised 150 Million USD in January! However, it is thinkable that the ICO market can't raise good money anymore. It has many reasons also! Because if you compare the first half of 2018, then the crypto market in January to April months of 2018 was very good and people were passing the golden time of crypto, so they invested in most of the ICO projects! They did not research well so that many low ICO project made success! But this year is completely different because people lost more than 85% of money only because of the bear market, therefore some big exchange hacked, many ICO scams, ICO token dumped highly after listing on exchanges. So, investors stopped investing in ICO, even I was an ICO investor, now i am not! So, we can say now, This year is not for ICO, it is for IEO!

refused because bad things that happened at ICO certainly made many people stay away from ICO.
they left the ICO because they were afraid something bad would happen to them so it would be better to stay away for a while until the ICO conditions improved.
maybe in the future ICO will be better if there are updates that make the ICO can be reused and can benefit many people.

That's because investors lost their trust in ICO regardless of how good some of the ICO, they shifted their money and attention to IEO obviously for fast profit and safe investment, which ICO have losses, last year and this year, and next we will see fewer ICO.

Yeah it's natural because every time the trend must change, despite the many ICO scams that make many investors deterred.
but it won't make the ICO disappear, the project will continue to come but not as much as before

Scam icos have caused a lot of damage to the crypto world and reduced the interest of investors. Therefore, interest in ico decreased. Nobody invests in a sector where they will not make money. Trust should be restored as soon as possible.

Very few ICO projects these days have real products. Those that also stop at MVP stage without further development also die off in the market. That is why we eee many of them without volume. If developers are not doing what is expected of them, the decline might continue to increase.

I totally noticed it,and also most of the ICO‘s now was turning into scam project and also they are only want is to earn in the way of illegal things such as by selling token.But we can prevent losing money just be smart in everything that you do here in crypto.

We have to see beyond all the marketing and all the new announcement... people are afraid to lose their money. We have to see too much project die without even born..

This is a really huge rate. I think the biggest reason is that investors do not trust ICOs anymore. Because especially in 2018, the number of scam ICOs was too much. And this also affected non-scam ICOs. So many non-scam ICOs could not find enough funds and were canceled. I think it should be a supervisory agency for ICOs. In this way, investors may start to trust on ICOs again.

Probably, the cause of this is because the investors have lost trust to ICOs already for being scammed and used multiple times by greedy ICOs. Well, we can't blame the for doing that so because every people learned from their mistake, and their mistake is investing in wrong ICOs.

I don't doubt this statistics at all. It is very possible that the ICO investment has decreased by such percentage because almost every investors are now kicking against the ICOs.

It needs a good timing, when BTC is back to it's good price, then I think ICO will be alive again.
BTC needs to break it's ATH so no more losers in the market, if they can sell at a profit, this market will be lively again as investors will be confident again.
It's normal that the price would dump, bounty hunters will dump and the trading volume is very low, the solution is the trading volume improvement.

bitcoin down makes ico no longer passionate there are lots of ico success but when entering the market the price falls, making investors afraid to invest. likely if bitcoin returns to $ 10k ICO will return to excitement.

Trust and risk are the major determinants that determine the size of funds that an asset receives. I believe that ICO had been very successful in 2017 and early 2018 but the prestige and fame was reduced by the appearance of scammers and fraudulent projects and that is the reason many countries banned it and this created the need for another fundraising mechanism which is now IEO.

Many ICOs were not able to hit exchanges on the other hand. I mean you are talking about failed projects and I am denting about intentional scams in the name of ICOs. When there were many failed projects, it is obvious that ICO investments are decreased by 5800% .

I think that many people expect that the market will continue to grow. Therefore, they invest in ICO. ICO show themselves well in times of market growth. I think this is one of the signals that the market recovery really began.
