If we take a look at both, we will understand it is same, ICO has not really gone, it just has a better and safer version of it called IEO. Looking at the chart, just a little change of organogram, that is all. ICO(Project developers – Campaign Managers – Bounty Hunters – Investors) while IEO still involve (Project Developer – Exchanges – investors), so the two things that will be missing now is bounty campaign and hunters which is quite sad because every investors now trust the service of exchange to bounty hunters.

Initially, I thought bounty hunters will still be relevant since not many projects will be able to cough out the initial capital required by these big exchanges, but it is so sad that smaller exchanges too are becoming to come up with same IEO idea, which I am sure they will have very little fee for a project to be registered.

I think that after such figures, we can safely say that the ICO is dead and we can only hope for the IEO. If IEO becomes more accessible to regular users, developers will no longer have the issue of insufficient fees. The ICO has long lost the trust of investors due to insufficient regulation and a large number of scams.

Edit - It's not just 5100% but is 5800%

we all know about this since the market downtrend that started in 2018. Many factors has brought to the sudden decrease of the of the rate on investment in icos. Starting with the bad market to the fact that there was many scam projects. But most importantly is that the ico project is not entirely down

There are probably not bots, but scripts.
The system changes quickly. It seems to me that lastest Binance purchase system will be more honest, so these scripts will no longer make sense when buying..

For sure there are some investor that declined making investment on it, reason it keep decreasing right now, and common reason for sure it's because of being frustrated always since market suffer from the bearish and also because of some ponzi schemes behind that not so easy to determine .

*Probably investor on ICO's now is the reason why bitcoin is constantly evolving which is maybe they move to bitcoin because ICO is not safe anymore to make investment. Lmao

This happen because the price bitcoin is also drop very much.
If bitcoin price still on the moon($18,000) the money in the ico never decreased until 5800%.

We will know if this will recover, we are in the bull run now and this market changes should give positive effect on the ICO market.
Though we have the IEO which is being used now, but it's limited compared to ICO since anytime if the team decided to have their project started, they can do it, in IEO, they need to ask for their project to get listed and pay for the listing fee.

The market has decrease so certainly the value of ico's will decrease as well, when the market was at its peak everyone was very happy to participate in ico's without too much complain, but now that the market is very bearish everybody believe ico's are not worth investing on, i think not only ico's are the problem why invest loss trust to invest but the instability of the market, the constant fluctuation of price from one day to the next is the main reason why people are afraid to invest, once there is stability in price, ico's will do well also.

The past situation of ICOs last year isn't that great. And that is why it was decreased investments of ICOs that big percentage. Also, I also think the proliferation of IEOs nowadays, also had a great effect on the ICO investments.
And because of that, some speculators said it will be the end of the ICO markets but i still believe they can manage to stay longer in cryptocurrency.

ICO has made a lot of people lost interest investing on a project. I personally invested in a project and upon listing to an exchange I was disappointed. Some projects I bought during ICO were not even listed. So the percentage in which some ICOs dropped it is due to some scam project. A lot of people don't believe in that anymore.
