Hi there,

I whitelisted all Addresses from the mining/minting Spreadsheet. You can check the transaction if your address is among them:

http://explorer.fermat.community/tx/82a5c4a1ac99b23ed5244bd244410b0f4657ec775b7bc43e53da3d6b01b9bb93

HAPPY MINING!  Grin

We have still plenty of room for Representatives that like to become P2P Economy Experts and represent Fermat in their country (and start mining).
You do something for us, we do a lot for you. win-win.

If you see your country is already taken, but many licences free, just join in and team up - we work hand in hand and act as family.
cheers.

I think I have set up a node for testnet  mining probably but my cpu is still in 1%. Does the address need to be whitelisted on testnet as well to start mining, or I made something wrong? If so, in the spreeadshet in "Testnet mining" section under the column "IoP address" should I put my mainntet address that will be whitelisted as an incentive for runing test node? And under the "Testet Key" column I should put my testnet mining address to be whitelisted?
exactly how it works, bravo. Your testnet wallet needs to be whitelisted also.

what if i don't want to create new chapter and my country is not present ?

You should still fill it in. If you only want to make e.i. a facebook page, that's ok.
If someone wants to take responsibility for the chapter later and maybe wants to do some more stuff, you can just let him/her take over.

If no: Fill your informations in as a new Chapter for your Country.
which fields should i fill manually ? (e.g. D,F,G,H)
Chapter's Name; Chapter Status;   Type;   # Members; Responsable Full Name; Email; etc. etc.
Just the normal informations about you and your Chapter. And of course your Social Media Accounts dedicated to your Chapter (for example Facebookpage "Fermat Italy" or Twitter Account "@fermat_italy").

Hey guys!

Here is a good explanation which requirements need to be met to mine IoPs.
If you are interested, please read carefully.

https://medium.com/@luisfernandomolina/iop-mining-7b1c1bf7febd#.8p22f12lg

Video for setting up mining in Linux Wallet (alsp applicable for windows; see description): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGzM9w1D4R4
A Video about mining IoPs on a server will follow later today. I will post it here.

Please also read what @trader19 and @marmai are writing!

@casper77
I flagged all your comments in the sheet wrong. You were interfering with multiple existing chapters. You probably want to take a bigger part in the Fermat Community, so please fill in the sheet (comment) from left to right as a new chapter depending on where you are from (which country do you live in?). Then we can whitelist your addresses.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • We are _manually_ working on the sheet and whitelisting addresses to prevent mistakes or misuse. So please be patient. If your informations in the sheet are ok, you will be whitelisted asap.
  • Find out, if a Local Chapter in your Country already exists.
If yes: Contact them for collaboration. Email addresses are in the Spreadsheet.
If no: Fill your informations in as a new Chapter for your Country.

is there a windows wallet? @MarMai i went to the document (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1BI2l4jPPmh0I2V2ePWLTgLJUpWPymdpQ1-E-qUEfpyQ/edit?usp=drive_web),... en dan Huh can you guys give a better description or a link where i can see how i can apply or do i need to mail  Huh

www.fermat.org, scrolling all the long way down you find a windows wallet. Everything is written in the OP, and on top, in this google doc you find valuable information if you hover with the mouse over the column titles, they all have comments that explain the  rules.

Example:
You want to twitter about fermat? connect to the chapter in your country and claim the open spot. (if there are spots left).
Easy like that.

If you cannot go further, maybe the newsletter from truelibertine is helpful:

thanks i have a look at it and try to connect tommorow...

Soo.. when I try running the wallet from Ubuntu 16.04 I get this error any idea what I'm doing wrong?

QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display
Aborted (core dumped)

Running the IoP-qt from console over ssh results in error, as your server does not seem to have Xorg installed. I suggest you install x2go-server and it work, or you go for the IoPd. I only use IoPd and dont need any xlibs, on a server probably the better option. :-)

it really easy to install on ubuntu 16.04 from terminal, if you follow exact steps from github, if you installed manually then you need to compile qt without some deps..
try this:
Quote
Installing Ubuntu Packages
To install IoP the first time on Ubuntu, add new repository to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/IoP.list with your editor (here "nano"):
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/IoP.list
In the editor you add this
for Ubuntu 14.04:
deb [arch=amd64] http://repo.fermat.community/ 14.04 main
for Ubuntu 16.04:
deb [arch=amd64] http://repo.fermat.community/ 16.04 main
Save and exit editor.
Import the key that is used to sign the packages:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 0CC9EB6DA69C84F4
gpg -a --export A69C84F4 | sudo apt-key add -
After that you can install IoP tools as any other software package:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install iop-blockchain
After installation is complete, start the IoP wallet by running IoPd from the command line.

!! ANNOUNCEMENT !!

Hi there,
from today I am starting to track every second evening the mining spreadsheet and issue new mining licences ( aká whitelisting your public key)
I will notice you in the comment field of your IoP Wallet Address once you are whitelisted.

NOTICE
If you claim more than 1 licence:
For each claim you need to run a different IoP core wallet in a different folder on a different port.
@truelibertine is making a howto video for this case, which will be published tomorrow.

CHAPTER ALREADY SETUP IN YOUR COUNTRY?
No problem! Team up with the Chapter Representative and join the Fermat Chapter in your country! You can still get a licence by one of the tasks listed in the doc. The Chapter will help you which spots are free (or you just connect to them and start doing your stuff).
If there are problems, please let us know by Email or PM. In the beginning we are assisting a bit to get the things rolling, later this process will be opened up and fully automatic.

We go further on our path to become the most disruptive (blockchain enabled P2P) technology on this planet!

Stay tuned, join us, and thank you for the overwhelming support!
