I already went to 2.4. Version I used before was 2.4. I am just applying the script you suggested, but I already created 100+ addresses now and still zero balance. I am sure I have never created more than 40 addresses with the same account on 2.4. This is very strange.

So you had your full balance when on 2.4 (and you did change your seed in the transition when moving to 2.4)?

Yes, I had my balance on 2.4. I did not change my seed. I stored it on several places and I compared all, so the seed is correct. Unfortunately, I do not know on which of the around 40 created addresses I received my IOTA months ago. So I could not check if the IOTA were tranferred ( I mean a probable hack ). Is it possible to see the total balance of all addresses of a particular seed outside the client, like on the tangle explorer?

Since I updated to v2.5 today I can not see my account balance anymore. It is 0. I have created 96 addresses now. I am sure I had around 30-40 addresses created for the account before the update. One week ago I logged in last time and my balance was fine. Any hints what to do?

52 Attempts, and did not work. Someone knows how I can recover my 100 miotas, they were in the 2.3 portfolio and I could not transfer to 2.4. Is there a way to recover?

If you were still on the 2.3 version and never 'officially' went to 2.4, you have some more work to do, I think. One of the things that was done in that 'upgrade' was users having to give up their old seed and transitioning to a new seed. I think that is what is giving you trouble now (I assume you never upgraded your old '2.3 seed', right?).

It was last week that I entered the world of IOTA, I bought 100 miota of a person and my wallet was already installed in version 2.3, I tried this whole week to make the transition of a new seed, but it always remained "pending" and never confirmed .

I have 100 miota in wallet 2.3, how am I going to transfer to wallet 2.5?

As long as you have your seed there shouldn't be a problem.

Just download and install IOTA Light Wallet 2.5, and then log with your seed.

It might appear you have 0 IOTA, in that case just generate and reattach receiving addresses until you fully recovered your iota.

If you made a lot of IOTA transactions it might take a lot of time. If that is your situation, this redditor made a script to make it easier: https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/71zzhq/save_your_fingers_a_script_to_autogenerate/

did you follow the instruction? did you set Min Weight Magnitude=14 and Curl Implementation= Webgl 2 Curl?
how many transactions did you do with these 100MI (for each you have to attach one address)

Several unsuccessful transactions tried often to move to the 2.4 portfolio and send the miets to the bitfinex without success

Really happy to see that Flash Channels have finally come live on IOTA. Flash is a bi-directional off-Tangle payment channel to enable instantaneous, high-throughput transactions. In essence, they provide a way for parties to transact at high frequency without waiting for each transaction to confirm on the public IOTA network. Instead, only two transactions will ever occur on the main IOTA network: opening and closing transactions of the Flash channel. An off-Tangle approach reduces the per-transaction overhead to a negligible level by creating signed transactions off the tangle and opens up a feeless transaction model for instant, token streaming.
Read and test it out here: https://blog.iota.org/instant-feeless-flash-channels-88572d9a4385
This is huge stuff! We don't need LN or Raiden anymore. We can use Flash Network TODAY. Market did not realise this yet

Made a small video of the IOTA wallet upgrade. It also shows the script from a Reddit user in action to automatically generate and attach new addresses to recover the full balance.

And a very short post about the upgrade: https://steemit.com/iota/@wekkel/iota-new-wallet-2-5-1-script-to-get-your-full-balance-back

For the Flash Channel (BETA, just out) in action, see this video.

Hi! What do you think about Ethereum Raiden network?? Is it competitor for IOTA?? It will grow faster as the number of users goes higher, used for micro transactions and IoT transactions, as per Raiden devs... Can somebody clear this out??
Lightning and Raiden are only payment channels and can't transfer data as IOTA does. IOTA can transfer value and data freely in the network.
Could this be solved with the implementation of Raidos which is part of the Raiden project? It is currently in its planning phase and described on the raiden network website as followed:
"Raidos (or Raiden 2.0, “dos” is spanish for "two") is a proposed sidechain technology to generalize state channels. While the Raiden Network is limited to ERC20 token transfers, Raidos aims to scale Ethereum’s generalized computation capabilities through a network of satellite chains, which can host any smart contract. This technology is similar and complementary to Ethereum's sharding."
no. also raidos/raiden/eth will has transaction fees. forget about it

On top of the fees, lightning and raiden can't send messages freely like IOTA and the routing requirement will lead them to centralization - https://medium.com/@jonaldfyookball/mathematical-proof-that-the-lightning-network-cannot-be-a-decentralized-bitcoin-scaling-solution-1b8147650800

genNewAddr() should check balance and call stop() once a user defined amount has been reached?
good suggestion. they should implement something similar in the next wallet release

Or perhaps stop if last 3 addresses did not carried anything?

According to https://iotasupport.com/how-addresses-are-used-in-IOTA.shtml these things will worsen further by every snapshot. Customer satisfaction seems to be guaranteed.
