Can or could?

Could, because there are no such devices yet.

I dunno any self-updating cryptos. I wonder how that would work

Cfb, the software is meant to be used by IoT devices (low processing power, low disk space).

So my question is, who stores all the transactions and whats his incentive?

All IoT devices need a means of updating themselves.

Can/Could IOTA-connected devices self-update?

Yes.

Can or could?

ps perhaps a little how?. I dunno any self-updating cryptos iirc

interesting article. i wonder why is this information not shared by the iota developers. so are they integrating it in the azure infrastructure? is this right?

Yes, that is right.  The info was shared by David and the team, it's a couple pages back.

Question:  Have you guys perfected quantum computing to make such claims?

Your question makes me suspect you don't understand what Post-quantum cryptography is. Check this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-quantum_cryptography.

What are your credentials on the subject?

He's CFB

Come-from-Beyond

If he was taught by CFB, that would be his credentials. But he IS CFB. So there you go, make sense?

It will stay open source for sure. They would lose all trust and support of many projects.
In modern times only open source is the key.

@iotatoken: iota will remain open source, no matter what partnership you have? What are the terms of this partnership, what influence Microsoft has on the devlopment of Iota? Do this partnership has an impact on Jinn?

I can read english text and know formal logic. If hash-based signing is quantum-proof and Winternitz signing is hash-based then Winternitz signing being quantum-proof becomes obvious.

..

As a result it may be advantageous for IOTA marketing purposes to promote the "oracle to Ethereum" angle made possible by IOTA's lightweight, no TX fee, DAG/Tangle design.

..

Don't forget quantum resistant - making it futureproof.

Question:  Have you guys perfected quantum computing to make such claims?

usually math is enough, in this case Winternitz signature

Jinman? What a coincidence! It is a good start point already.

Edit - for people who don't know, IOTA has been developed by Jinn Labs. So basically, iotatoken and CFB are both Jinnmans.
