Step 2: After the sale ends you can collect your iotas from collect.iotatoken.com (goes live on 22nd of December)

Step 3. This site will instruct you to send a very tiny, but specific BTC sum, for example 0.000xyz BTC from the very same bitcoin address that you deposited your purchase sum from. This is to prove your ownership so that we can ensure that the rightful buyers gets their iotas.

This means that you can not purchase via depositing directly from an account at an exchange or equivalent which often change the sender address repeatedly.

Re-read these steps carefully before purchasing! If you are unable to prove that you own the bitcoin address that the bitcoins were sent from, the iotas will be forfeited.[/size]

Can blockchain.info control which address BTC is sent from, is this suggested?

Also is there a minimum $$ amount that needs to be raised to continue this project?

From the Risk Paper:

Quote
As the IOTA team plans to spend the proceeds of the IOTA crowdsale on development of
IOTA, Jinn (IOTA hardware support), marketing and community growth, a negative
fluctuation in the fiat value of Bitcoin could leave the project without sufficient funding to
complete all the milestones and goals.

What are these milestones & goals?

Will there be a wallet at this time for depositing the iotas or do we have to make an account @ collect.iotatoken.com to control the tokens?

The former.

Why don't you sell at exchanges? Do you have working prototype?
smells very fishy to me.
SCAM maybe?

Scam?  not so much.  Risky investment with indeterminate pay-off?  Definitely.

I might throw a little BTC at it.

Every single serious crypto project is the same, I have no idea why anyone would call it a scam. This is the story of all crowdsales of new technology.

Fishy because it's not at exchanges or because the prototype wasn't shown?

People should keep in mind that ICOs are mostly scams.

Thank you, advice from a newbie account is especially valuable. I'm just curious if you think that BTT users are that stupid that they need advice like yours or you just want to buy most of the tokens but keep the others away of it?
You could be part of the team, shilling this shitcoin.

Oh, really? What a discovery - just read first (also follow the links), then write  Wink

999 999 999 iotas is up for sale
and how many total of iotas?
you should show all detail info .  how many iotas that dev team hold it , what about the development fund ?

I thought I had written it as clear possible, but I'll reiterate: THERE IS NO PREMINE. 999 999 999 is the total amount of iotas that will ever exist. ALL of them are up for sale. The development fund comes from the Bitcoins that we raise.

If I read this document there are a lot of risks. But thanks that you are so open about them, especially if you don't have a lot of knowledge like me in this market.

For sure, with all revolutionary technology there are great risks and it's the right thing to be open about it, even in a space like crypto where people are used to risk.
