ICO is evil

It is heavily based on the BTC price, if you don't beleive in BTC, then you should sell NeoBee too.  I see it as essentially a double down on bitcoin.

It's far more then a double down on btc - They essentially have raised 10mm USD in btc, and spend maybe 1mm so far.  The rest they are keeping in BTC, and essentially, they borrow Euros from the public, paying no interest, and "buy" bitcoins with the money they borrow.  I'm not sure they actually need to buy any btc yet as they have a ton left potentially from their IPO.  They are EXTREMELY levered to BTC in their model though, since they hold the fiat balances flat, adjusting the coin balance up and down.

I mentioned at our latest Bitcoin Startups meetup in Berlin that I was at the opening. They took me of-guard and asked me for a speech about it: Here it is. Yes, I know some info is not 100% accurate but when you're improvising you literally have no time to fact-check. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vftVNjLJ2O8

Just look at yourselves!  A guy comes along who actually gives you sound advice, hard facts, and doesn't pick your pocket, and you crucify Him.

@everyonewhoisnotcrumbs

This is the Neo thread and as a shareholder I feel there needs to be a space for us to talk unhindered.

God only knows this trolls motives.  Gov, glove or gruff, it's an undeniable nuisance and one that needs to be recognised for what it is.

Here is what you need to know;

Never reply to it.  Always ignore it.  Hold the high ground.  Trust in good people.  Be honest.  Speak from the heart.

+1
I submitted a report a while back which resulted in some of the sockpuppet posts being removed.

I suggest each genuine poster here takes a turn doing likewise --- at some point this individual will tire.
He never tire. That's his job. He is also creating multiple new accounts each week.

And if you follow that advice diligently, you will:

ignore the people who warn you to get out of an obvious scam when it is trading above IPO,
keep ignoring them as it sinks below IPO,
get super butthurt when your CEO dumps shares @1/5 the IPO price (while keeping you from dumping yours),
continue to ignore as the mentioned CEO refuses to let you trade your shares,
continue to ignore as your CEO tells you he lost 1/4 of your money on Gox, and... ...and you still won't have your sharez, because... because the gobment!

Yeah, just like the mental giant who gave you that awesome advice, zumzero.  The boy who sunk his money into the laughing stock of Bitcointalk -- Active Mining, and ignored the advice of his betters until it was too late.

Stay stupid, angry and poor, zum, and always write in clipped cliches Smiley

So what was "Cyprus is #2 for bitcoin searches" supposed to tell us, Derpy Huh

That Neo was very effective from turning a population who's not internet savvy into Bitcoin curious people. ...

From the start of Neo's media campaign, Cypriot "curiosity" in Bitcoin has been steadily declining.  If you interpret that as success, what would failure look like?

To sum up:
After Neo's "education," the number of Cypriots including the term "Bitcoin"1 in their searches *plummets*.
Excelsior!

1. Searches such as "bitcoin wallet," "bitcoin bank," etc., etc.

Even if you are not Neo supporter or hate them for some reason as you're clearly on a vendetta of sorts or think you do some good for bashing it, you have to admit they did help bring Bitcoin out in the open in Cyprus and now everyone there knows about Bitcoin. That in itself is huge achievement for us all and I assume you also own some Btc otherwise you wouldn't be here. So it helped you also, as more awareness will translate into more buying.

Lol, after Neo's media barrage, Cypriots are *less* interested in Bitcoin, as both the 30 and 7-day charts show.
Nice going Smiley

Really? Smiley

It's only natural they search less after they get familiar with Bitcoin and understand what this is all about.

Searches like wallets, neo&bee, cold wallets and so on will follow.

I no longer do "Bitcoin" google searches but I do searches for topics within this area of interest. When I want news I just check bitcoinchannel, coindesk, let's talk bitcoin or some specialized tweeter feeds.

Doesn't make sense to keep searching for Bitcoin after you've become familiar with it.
