Lazy, cynical and insolent since 1968
I added the time range '2014' and Cyprus came out on top

http://www.google.com.au/trends/explore#q=%2Fm%2F05p0rrx&date=1%2F2014%2012m&cmpt=date

Given that most cypriots may have used more specific terms than just 'bitcoin' I'm not tempted to divine anything.
But funny how so many people have become experts on Cyprus now.

The trolls are gonna moan whatever...

Add time range:  Past 7 days.
Cypriots forget everything.
Cyprus doesn't even show.

Yep this is the chart for past 90 days.

What's important here is that Neo turned a country where internet businesses are not popular into Bitcoin curious country. This is insanely cool. Smiley

Cyprus clearly ranks up there with the big countries.

Well, not sure how they got the #2 rating they used for their PR, but it can't possibly be related to NeoBee.  In the past 12 days (see my edit above), Cyprus doesn't even rank.

I guess Cypriots no longer need to know anything about Bitcoin -- Neo educated them Cool

photoshopped?

Lol...
Danny posted this on Twitter the other day. It's fantastic really. Neo managed to turn an island of non-savvy internet users into people highly interested in Bitcoin. The country with 2nd most Bitcoin searches is Cyprus:

I saw Tuur Demeester post this the other day, very impressive marketing.

I'm looking forward to merchant adoption next.

Lol, no Smiley

@Bit_Joe: It seems you are payed by mpex like MPOE-PR. How many of you are trolling around? Seems it's a good "business". Multiple payed gangs of trolls are all over the internet working for different parties in order to influence public opinions on different aspects. The main goal is power and profit.

EDIT: Quoted business to become "business"

I have contacted them through phone earlier this week about information on opening an account. For the time being they are still serving as information booths for educating people and getting enough merchants into the new business model. We are still unable to open accounts. I have put my name on the list of people that want to be informed by phone when they will be receiving requests to opening accounts.

But aren't you guys still seeing ads on TV about them?

Yes, of course. The TV campaign is still on-going (even if I don't watch TV). I am following Danny on twitter and my guess right now is that they are trying to get as much merchants as possible to accept Bitcoin before giving the public the opportunity to open accounts (How can newcomers benefit from an account if no merchants accept Bitcoin?). Not to mention the lobbying with Government Authorities. We think that Neo & Bee went silent after their launch but right now they are working overtime to lay down a strong infrastructure. I won't lie. I'm anxious about it too and waiting to see the results but it will take some more time.

They run ads when they are still unable to open accounts?

Maybe to make the government more likely to grant the appropriate licenses - if they see it as a genuine business, if there's buzz on the street, if there's merchant interest...

^Lol, with all of the coin spent on PR, I'd expect #1.
Don't know much about Cyprus, but isn't the total population something like 1 million folks?  As in 1/8th of NYC? NeoBee itself is probably responsible for 3/4 of the search volume Cheesy

^Lol, "bitcoin price stabilizes" before they let people open accounts?  I thought Danny knew how to bitcoin?
Anyhow, he's getting some free publicity:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/calling-out-the-premier-scam-on-havelock-at-the-moment-516460

Are you saying people  in Cyprus not buying bitcoin though Neo and Bee now? or just on the first day of opening cause it was around the Mt.Gox crash time?
