IQeon PvP-platform Development Update – November 5

Dear friends! We would like to present our new report on the development of IQeon platform for the period from October 8 to November 4, 2020.

General platform changes:

• An opportunity to monitor bonus IQN balance was added to the player's personal account. Now users can check the amount of IQN earned for completing steps in the reward system in a separate block under the "Balance" tab.
• The reward system page was optimized. In particular, the design and color composition of the section have been improved, the display of the guide for authorized and unauthorized users and screen tips while completing tasks has been fixed.
• The bug that affected user balance change after a PvP match with IQN prize pool has been eliminated. Now the amount of digital assets in the player's account is updated immediately after the end of the battle.
• The language versions of the gaming platform have been improved. At the moment, when a user changes the language on the website, the data is displayed correctly.
• The bug that led to the incorrect display of information about transactions with bonus IQN has been fixed.

User profile:

• The dark theme of the platform has been improved. In particular, the display of the player’s profile and the page with the user's personal information has been updated.

Opening of IQN/USDT and IQN/BTC pairs on EXMO exchange

In early October, the British EXMO exchange listed a pair of IQN digital asset with the popular stablecoin USDT. Later, exchange operations with BTC, the oldest cryptocurrency on the market, became available! Thus, users of the PvP gaming platform IQeon.com got access to an expanded list of trading tools.

Results of IQeon Gathers Friends competition

IQeon Gathers Friends contest, in which users competed for 500 prize IQN, is over. To win, they had to complete simple tasks within three weeks and confirm their fulfilment on the GiveLab contest page.

IQeon Gathers Friends has grown to a truly international one and brought together more than 16 thousand people from 65 countries! Ten winners, which were randomly generated, received 50 prize IQN to their accounts on IQeon.com.

Deactivation of personal account on IQeon.io

Within the planned optimization of IQeon official website’s interface design, our team decided to deactivate the personal account on my.iqeon.io domain. It didn’t affect the operational process of personal accounts on IQeon.com platform and IQN assets which users got during the crowdfunding campaign.

The personal account on IQeon.io was designed to monitor users’ wallet balance. We’ve later added some useful features to the account. Today, similar algorithms are implemented in the majority of applications, which provide IQN holders with the full range of necessary tools.

• code was checked to identify potential vulnerabilities;
• multilanguage mode of the gaming platform was improved;

We continue to answer frequently asked questions from our users. Today we will tell you how to make a deposit to the gaming platform IQeon.com.

How do I make a deposit to the gaming platform?

As a starting point, we would like to note that making a deposit is not a must for participating in games on the platform. However, to receive a digital asset for victories in matches, you need to play with an opponent, having previously deposited funds to the prize pool of the competition. This can be done by those users who have some IQN on their game accounts.

To replenish the gaming account, you need to log in on the platform and go to the "Balance" tab in your profile. If the user didn’t link the address of his cryptocurrency wallet, then this can be done by clicking the "Add wallet" button and filling in the address.

Following that, the platform participant gets access to a function through which he can deposit assets to the account. The future of blockchain: what difference will Ethereum 2.0 make?

The launch of Ethereum 2.0 is perhaps one of the most announced events in the crypto community. It has been postponed more than once, but users continue to hope for an upcoming update, because they believe in the potential of the new protocol. But what exactly will change with the roll out of Ethereum 2.0? Today IQeon will try to answer this question.

What is Ethereum 2.0?

Ethereum 2.0 is a new version of Ethereum blockchain, based on the Proof-of-Stake algorithm, which will enable tens of thousands of transactions per second.

According to the ambitious plans of the project founder Vitalik Buterin, with the advent of Ethereum 2.0, mining will become a thing of the past, and the emphasis on the new network will shift to staking – here PoS comes into force. Verification of transactions in the blockchain will no longer depend on the computing power – they will be verified by validators.

"Now we see that Ethereum network can’t deal with the load and meet all user needs. The transition to the PoS algorithm and blockchain sharding will significantly speed up the work of Ethereum," says Yuriy Navadvorski, IQeon CTO.

What is staking?

As we said above, validators make the basis of staking. To participate in the creation of a new block, they need to make a kind of a pawn – at least 32 ETH, which are placed in a depository agreement and form a pool. In case of fraud on the part of the validator, the deposit may be completely lost – this will ensure the security of the network.

Unlike the Proof-of-Work algorithm, people don’t need huge computing power to participate in block formation. A laptop or tablet will be enough.

Yuriy Navadvorski also commented on this:

"Validators, like miners, will receive rewards for their activities. It is not yet clear how much money can be earned on staking and what payout matrix will be implemented, but there are calculators that determine approximate payouts depending on network settings."

Although the specific payments have not yet been determined, Vitalik Buterin suggested that the income could range from 1.5 to 18%, depending on how much the stakeholder has invested.

Super fast transactions and scalability

Another important advantage of Ethereum 2.0 is the scalability mechanism, or sharding, which will take blockchain throughput to new heights.

At the moment, Ethereum network has only one blockchain. This certainly makes it secure, but it requires each server to validate transactions separately. That is why the speed of processing operations slows down significantly, especially when there are a lot of users on the network and they are all active.

Within the framework of sharding, the blockchain is divided into shards – block chains that allow processing operations with ETH by an independent set of nodes in parallel, rather than sequentially. The more shards there are, the better the network throughput is.

Minimum fees and advanced smart contracts

It is expected that new, more efficient smart contracts and decentralized applications will appear in the fully functioning Ethereum 2.0 network. So, in the final phase of the deployment, eWasm will be launched – a virtual machine for the execution of smart contracts, which will significantly reduce fees and make smart algorithms more functional.

New blockchain, old coin

A lot of people want to know if the new ETH 2.0 coin will emerge and how much it will cost. However, the developers of the project assure: a large-scale update will not lead to the emergence of a separate asset, and the existing ETH will be transferred to the new blockchain.

Analysts also warn that due to staking, a large number of ETH will initially be blocked. It is supposed to slightly reduce the supply of the coin and trigger the value growth.

When will Ethereum 2.0 be rolled out?

Perhaps this is the most popular question among the members of the crypto community. The zero phase of Ethereum 2.0 was supposed to be launched back in January 2020, but was postponed several times. Commonly developers made last-minute changes to the network technical design and ran final tests over and over again. It is known that the launch of the Spadina test network, the final one before the release of the zero phase of Ethereum 2.0, took place on September 29.

It is not yet known when the full version of Ethereum 2.0 will be released. The specialist's portfolio consists of a huge number of foreign projects, including the creation of electronic log-books and diaries for the education system, crypto exchanges, arbitration robots and tools for trading binary options.

Dmitriy is sure, when developing such products, you should pay attention to the interactivity and responsiveness of the interface, because user satisfaction is always a priority. Functionality also needs to be brought to a new level, because data in such tools are changing in the real-time mode.

Dmitriy joined IQeon team in early 2020. He is responsible for the software development, its testing and maintenance. Dmitry is in charge of the frontend and sometimes backend development as well as product architecture.

• The code was checked to identify potential vulnerabilities of the gaming platform website and its security was enhanced.
• The page with bonuses has been optimized: the "Starting" block and the general design of the section have been improved. Moreover, bugs caused by displaying bonus IQN that should be received after completing tasks in the reward system have been fixed.
• The section with the best players of the month on the main page of the website has been updated. Now usernames exceeding 15 characters are displayed correctly.

Dear users, we are always doing our best to improve the functionality of the gaming platform and the project official website – IQeon.io, which provides information about the team, partners and the latest company news.

Dzmitry started to develop his IT career while he was just a schoolboy. Having received additional education in webmastering, he continued to make progress in a popular direction. After graduating from university, Dzmitry occupied different positions with a wide range of responsibilities from development and design to advertising and promotion. Over time, the specialist delved into the project management, took many courses in business analytics, marketing, economics and finance, worked in a gamedev studio, robotics company and the one specialized in cloud services. After all, the choice of expert fell on the creation and development of IT products and services – product management.

At IQeon, Dzmitry is responsible for the creation of products, their continuous improvement and development. Moreover, by analyzing existing pilot products, he suggests new features for implementation and helps to set out the priority of tasks.

"To create a top product you need to conduct thorough research of markets, competitors and the user needs. It becomes the basis for the prototype of the future product. It is critically important not to consider yourself a user and not to design a product under the motto “I prefer it that way”. This is the mistake of many novice product managers.

The project team continually analyzes user activity. So, since the launch of the project, we have repeatedly come across fake IQeon pages on social media and websites, the developers of which pretended to be company employees. IQeon Development Update – September 4

Dear friends! We would like to present our new report on the development of IQeon platform for the period from August 6 to September 3, 2020.

General platform changes:

• “My IQN” tab has been updated. In particular, new approaches to the solutions of the tasks from partners have been implemented, as well as displaying video has been improved on this tab.
• The pop-up notification during transaction processing has been added. There is a special alert now which appears if the withdrawal amount is less than 2 IQN and over 50 IQN.
• Light and dark versions of the platform have been improved. This option automatically changes depending on the browser theme.
• The function when the platform language is the same with the language of the browser has been updated.
• The content of the “FAQ” block has been updated.

User profile:

• The configuration of the “Games History” tab has been optimized. Now, what is displayed is only a game name, prize pool and an amount of won and lost IQN. You need to tap “+” to view further information about a finished match.
• Restrictions on the information that may be included into a personal profile have been added. Thus, upper and lower bounds of date of birth tab were set and the banned word list was expanded.
• Restrictions on displaying user nicknames on the platform chat and the “Best players of the month” block have been added. Now, only the first fifteen characters of a player’s name are available.
• The “Activity Log” tab has been hidden from “My games” page.

Platform interface:

• Elements on the “Statistics” tab have been adapted to the user’s screen resolution.
• The “Support” button has been added to the top bar of the platform. Thus, authorized users can switch instantly to the feedback form by tapping the question icon which is next to a user profile picture icon.
• The bug with displaying inactive tabs in profile settings while zooming a page has been fixed. Now, only the main profile sections are available with 1.5x zoom.

Security:

• User IP address verification during the registration process is available now. This would prevent multi-accounting and strengthen the platform security.

 
Games module:

• Displaying answers in the “Quiz” game has been improved. Now, long answers are shown correctly in a few lines.
