It's a high risk in putting your money on altcoins but if you choose the right coins that has potential to grow in the next 2 years then this will assure you a good profits. Better to research them first if those are worth for your money and time.

Investment at your own risk! That is just the basic definition for altcoins. The thing with altcoins is that you are actually looking at the long term promise to be able to get the best from them, and a lot of them are not established market, so there is nothing guaranteed with them to be able to be certain if the long term is actually going to be a reality or not, which is why a lot of investors try as much as possible to at least, try to do due diligence, look at the possibilities and long term prospect, before eventually making a final decision at all on any project they want to invest in.

Very complex process if you do not approach as per professionals suggest as there are so many things you will have to always consider before at all making the move to go ahead investing and those decisions aren't the type you will just make out of the blue as they come with your level of your knowledge in the space you are investing in.

Nevertheless, it does not really take so much to be able to consider a right investment from a wrong one, what is just important most of the time is to at least, find a way you can do proper digging on the team, the development of the project and availability of product, and the strength of the product to drive in demand in the long run. This would always help you in making informed decisions in anything you actually want to be investing in.

There is some good projects like Neo, wanchain etc so answer is yes according to me, there is a lot of bad altcoins and aim is just collecting money but we couldnt say every altcoins are like this.

It worth investing and many people has investing in cryptocurrencies especially altcoins and you will do yourself good by investing now. However you have to look and study very well on the coins you desire to invest. Many of them are not currently doing well and invest on those coins with higher volumes and capitalization.
