Bitcoin always dominates the crypto market, which means that a decrease or increase in the value of a coin in the crypt market is accompanied by a decrease or increase in the value of bitcoin. So in this sense, it can be said that the speed of altcoin flows with the speed of bitcoin.

Watch out,  bitcoin is dumping right now, altcoins are following as well.

Everytime there's a dump, I can't help by think it could be a correction that is due to happen, hopefully bitcoin will still survive on this and it will start to rise again but if it's really time for correction, we can't do anything but just watch the price going down and of course altcoins will be affected big time.

check the market, https://coinmarketcap.com/, it's red everywhere now.

Looks like someone pulling out their profits, this is not very first time but every time it's repeating. When you do believe it's too expensive to make entry, here's your turn getting everything at this low.
It will continue to moon as before and potentially jump on. In case we should take a close look at this market and grab those FREE money!

That is what happened on last market pump way back 2017-2018. Top 10 coins are pumping along with the altcoins that is why a lot of people that time experienced bullrun but based on the market we have right now, it is not happening. Only top coins are inceasing day by day and the altcoins are moving slowly, worst is some of it decrease.
The influence of bitcoin has indeed made altcoins bull. I think by being able to guess the price movements of bitcoin we can find out that altcoins always follow the direction of bitcoin, this is what happened like the previous year. but when the big dump happened. altcoins can be sure that the decline is quite large. We can see this on the previous year's chart and it will repeat itself
Therefore with a fairly high rise now like this this should be a momentum to sell. we don't have to wait any longer to get more benefits. Altcoins have received hundreds of percent increases and if we invest, of course the profits we get are quite large. don't want more and more people to be complacent about the conditions that happened in the past

The previous years were perfect examples of why to not get in HYPE with altcoins if the BTC price is going to make new higher high price levels. Whenever the BTC price rejects the resistance on charts, altcoins also suffer to go higher. The correlation is strong, altcoins tend to follow the general market more than a single cryptocurrency.

Of course the Altcoins movement has always followed Bitcoin's movement, because the market is always dominated by Bitcoin and also Bitcoin as
the mother of the cryptocurrency will always affect the price movements of altcoins. I've even invested in Bitcoin and altcoins for more than
4 years, always look at Bitcoin pump  first  after that followed by an increase in the price of altcoins. This happened over and over again, so be careful
if the Bitcoin price dumps suddenly, it won't take long for the altcoin price to dump too.
maybe in dollar price, altcoin price follows bitcoin price increase, but as we can see, currently bitcoin price has more dominant increase than altcoin. in fact, some altcoins have fallen or even expanded, in price. however, there haven't been any significant developments regarding the bitcoin pair, but at this point, we can see that not all altcoins are following bitcoin.
It's always like that, if the price of bitcoin skyrockets the value of alts in form of BTC usually decrease, but the value of alt in USD usually still stays the same or even go up due to the effect of bitcoin price going up.
But, the overall market movement still following the trend of bitcoin like whether we're in bullish market or bearish market.
Just see how when bitcoin got dumped so hard in 2018 if im not mistaken, the alts also having such a bad market down trend but now we've seen bitcoin go up like crazy it triggers other coins to get bullish as well.

of course altcoins will follow the movements on bitcoin price mate
but when bitcoin start to grow, alt price will down for a while because a lot of people move their money to bitcoin
then after bitcoin price sideways, altcoins will start growing, thats what i see in this crypto market
regards
It is very clear that you are saying that when bitcoin experiences something altcoins usually have an impact but not for all altcoins that are usually influential are the top-ranking altcoins that receive the main impact, but not other altcoins, usually altcoins that are still trading are still actively trading on the exchange.

but I don't agree that altcoins are decreasing because people are moving their money to bitcoin. Their market shares are intertwined, but when bitcoin goes up, altcoins are not always sure to move up as well, but the impact is a few moments later. only ethereum always follows every movement wherever bitcoin moves, so he also follows it.

I think pump is depends on token's quality & roadmap. If project is good, team has fund then there is no prevention for any altcoins to get pump. But if team is scammer or owner of shitcoin, then how could anyone expect long term progress from that token? Although bitcoin also influence on altcoins market, altcoin market will crash if bitcoin crash!! But i think altcoin itself much more responsible for its pump or dump.

Yes, it is very clearing that altcoins always follow the movement of Bitcoin, For example, we can see in 2018 to 2019 when the price of BTC was very low, at the same time altcoins also dropped drastically, making altcoins sink in the crypto market at that time, in 2020 BTC experienced growth  very large, the price soared and in 2020 the new ATH was reached by BTC, at that time altcoin prices began to increase, even new coins appeared on the crypto market, from here I can conclude that BTC is the parent  of all altcoins,

Whatever he mentioned will always have an excellent chance to grab those coins. The above mentioned will always have a strong market, and those companies are actively developing the products and that's why they are tethering huge community, definitely, we need to grab those coins.

In my opinion, the correlation between bitcoin and altcoins is, seeing the blasting price of bitcoin, many altcoins holders can't control themselves, sold their assests for investment that fund on bitcoin & enjoy the blasting value advantage. that is why so called altcoins are get drop badly but due to having large trading volume of top altcoins, people also investing on those but a little.that is why those top altcoins pump but slightly

before trading altcoins, indeed one of the most important things we have to understand is the correlation between bitcoins, and they are both correlated,
but only a few altcoins in my opinion are correlated with bitcoin, yup that is Ethereum, Bitcoin Dump, Ethereum dumps, and Bitcoin pump,
Ethereum is also a pump, the real correlation is seen in the market. but other altcoins tend to experience the opposite,
yes and have to wait for Bitcoin sideways or experience an accumulation phase and you will see an altcoin pump.

Yeah, for me it's a big yes. Normally after a big btc pump we see altseason. And for last few months btc pumped very well. And with btc many coin show good upside move. But after btc stalbe at a good point other altcoins are booming now. Some ofbthem even give 2x-3x in terms of profit. So the altseason is already running and if btc go more top other coins alsongige more profit.

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?

Because Bitcoin (BTC) is the standard for Cryptocurrency thats why most altcoins are moving too as BTC moves up or down. ETH, XRP and LTC, if you look at their chart, they are similar to what BTC chart is going after.

Generally a positive correlation.

But that is not to say that you can expect each individual alt to move in accordance with BTC markets. This used to be the case when the biggest alt out there was LTC (many years ago), but it is entirely different now.

With the current market conditions, you have to consider each alt on a case by case basis. ETH and XRP are moving in entirely different directions - yet, they would both fall under the umbrella category of "large-cap alts".

BTC and Altcoins have a correlation, we cannot avoid it. As the main pairs of most altcoins, when the Bitcoin price drops very big, it should bring impacts on the value of altcoins. We can see it easily, an increase in Bitcoin can trigger the improvement of altcoin prices. But when the price of Bitcoin drops significantly, then the price of altcoins will follow to decline hardly.
