I know many investors who are suffering from holding old altcoins that have been laying down in the dumps like anything. The best way to get out of them is to sell at whatever value possible and then forget about them. You might be at a loss, but it is better to move on and accept the loss than keep holding them.
Not sure about old altcoins but i am still holding tokens which were hyped during the ICO boom and during the last rally it gave many opportunity to book the profit but after the correction mostly all of the coins went down drastically and some of the coins are worth a satoshi right now and showing no signs of any movement, already accepted the loss but the volatility is also less to sell everything.

I want reply your topic yes or not because some altcoins do follow btc price and some altcoins do not follow btc price. Even almost many altcoins going to up after when btc price make a stable rang. This is clear mention if btc price gonna down day by day then many altcoins price gone to down with same style.

Altcoins mainly take after Bitcoin,Its because pair with Bitcoin.it may fair take a bit of time. It is experienced that when bitcoin rises, Alts also rise bit afterward, so it is still the same course, but fair a bit more afterward than normal. It is good to increase portfolio of good altcoins if you missed the rally of Bitcoin,Because still some altcoins like Polkadot,Cardano,Bnb,Zen etc have great potential to hit on peak in near future.

The whole market will follow BTC, however only big alts worth attention
Exactly the whole crypto market follows bitcoin's price movement, because bitcoin is spare heading the crypto market and whenever there's a bull run like this altcoins always try to pump just like bitcoin, but just as you said only the top altcoins coins always gets all the attention of the investors looking to making profit off the bull market.
Hopefully we will see a repeat of altcoin pumps similar to 2018. But there needs so be a correction in btc first.
It's already on,for about a week plus now, top altcoins have been pumping massively, most of them have even made new highs, so I guess this is the altcoin season we were excepting all this while.

I would suggest you to move away from altcoins other than the top 10 altcoins. Then go with bitcoin for the long term.

This is a safe suggestion, the top 10 altcoins normally are strong altcoins because they have good volume and they usually survive from long bear market in the past, however, it's not also bad to look at some risky altcoins for a higher reward, at the end of the day, what matters is the right portfolio management using a proper risk management system.

Bitcoin is dominating the coin market cap and the whole market will follow BTC. Most of the coins are priced in BTC so it is obvious that when Bitcoin starts booming all the other altcoins will pump. BTC is representing all the cryptos and if BTC stays at this level I believe all the cryptocurrencies will increase.
Bitcoin, since it is the most important cryptocurrency on the market, really has a great influence on other coins, on another part of the cryptocurrency market, but there are also not a few cases when coins can grow due to the development of their own project, or fall in price due to scam / deception of their partners

We can see, only some of top altcoin was trying to follow the btc rally during its $30k to $40k journey but except those, no other altcoin is following the rally.even there are some old coin in my wallet, are dying due to lack of investment.because people are selling their altcoin & invest on bitcoin for more and more profit.that's why middle ranked altcoins are dying and they failed to reach the ath when bitcoin pump 2x of its 2017 ath

Bitcoin has shown its resilience over time and this does not need more evidence - altcoins are shit when compared with the price metrics of bitcoin even when reaching maintaining price.

I would suggest you to move away from altcoins other than the top 10 altcoins. Then go with bitcoin for the long term.

I think so. And I think it's already following. Every time when we saw a big move from bitcoin after that move when bitcoin is kind of stable we then saw alts to move. But alts move very fast either way up and down. So if you are not an expert don't want to catch that move. If btc price go high normally most of the alts start to pump a but you can take that profits. But some of them go 2x-3x in 2-3 days and then suddenly come to bottom. So be careful from this type of moves.

Not at all. Altcoin market is dumping now. Only altcoin who belong to top, are raising but unexpectedly. They isn't pump accroding to they deserve.i wonder when i see some good altcoin getting below without any reason but they fail to pump during btc pump.i guess maybe they sold their altcoin for buy eth and btc, to earn more money from crypto.but i expect, soon altcoin market will be at correction level and start raising soon

All. If Bitcoin suddenly decides to walk 20k, I assure you, not a single indifferent coin will remain.
There are coins that are more or less able to withstand small and medium dumps of the bitcoin price, but large drawdowns affect everyone. Except for stablecoins, of course.

Of course, Bitcoin has always kept Altcoins following it in price, and it contributes to an ongoing altcoins season with the crypto market.

Bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is the brand ambassador of all cryptos. Yes, Most of the altos are followed the bitcoin rally as like the team leader but not all the altos. As bitcoin place a huge effect on the market so that altos are focusing on bitcoin's footprint to increase their market value.

Despite the fact that there are still situations where Bitcoin will be on the run and a great many people will sell their altcoins to be essential for the development inside Bitcoin, anyway this is seen significantly in other altcoins not among the top. I recollect it effectively, the altcoins that siphon are in the best ten and like each week controllers will pick what mint piece to siphon and afterward blast you will see a gigantic spike.

not all cryptoqurrencies follow the Bitcoin Rally. but there are some altcoins that move quite significantly following the trends of rising bitcoin prices, such as ETh, LTC, BNB and several other top cryptos. but this is not over yet, I believe that Altsesaon altcoin can happen very soon.

for now it's still difficult for altcoin to follow the bitcoin trend, only top altcoins such as Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash,
which have a high market cap can join this bullish trend, I hope the dominance drops below 50%, and altcoins will fly

I think they will.

Give it some time and for sure altcoins will follow the trend. There are some altcoins that are currently following the trend but they can't maintain that strong increasing movement unlike other altcoins like you've said. We can't help but just be amazed at how strong bitcoin is right now, we don't know when altcoins will follow but I'll stick with bitcoin for now.

Most of the old and so-called stable altcoins like Ether, Litecoin, etc. are following Bitcoin but slower.

Bitcoin has many ATH this month while none of the big alts is even close to ATH. I expect this situation to continue.

I'm expecting as well that altcoins can still be slow and hard to reach their ATH until Bitcoin still at high. I have to say that 2020 is not the year for altcoin but for Bitcoin (alone).

If we track the market changes, altcoins didn't have such massive growth since Bitcoin is on the rally. In fact, they keep on the red color and that only it changes at the 4th quarter (maybe) turning to green but many of them still a living dead.
