The bear and bull markets are both important in the crypto space. Someone that invested in bitcoin during the bear market will like to sell in the bull market. Any successful investor in crypto has this logic at heart "buy low and sell high". Taking advantage of any given situation the market gives, to his or her benefit. Even if it is a bear market or a bull market.
Yes, both are indeed important because people cant really make profits if one of those things would really be in absence which means that if there's only bear then how people would make money?

If there would be only bullish then how people would buy cheaper? Both things are crucial or if we do speak about balance or something.Market cant really be called if we do only have one path

when it comes to price movement. Therefore, you should treat both things as important as you could really make out movement out of these conditions or situations
if you have done the right thing.

When it the best time for you to go buy a new pair of shoes? When is the best time to go get a new car, or a new bed, or a new TV?....during sales times right?  That is no different when it comes to financial markets / cryptocurrency markets.  Right now you can consider yourself buying at a discount.  Savvy investors will increase their contributions during times like these knowing they are getting more bang for their buck.

Just DCA (dollar cost average) in and you'll set yourself down a good path.

I really don't think that what KingsDen did in that question to OP was bad or wrong. It was rhetorical and only OP can figure that out. Again, come to think of it; why would anyone leave their investment decisions in the hands of complete strangers they meet online? Except you're in complete sync with someone offline before meeting them here online, I think you shouldn't rely completely on what they say to form your decision. OP shouldn't just rely on whatever

Lots of new and some old investors rely on other people's decision before investing, I have come across several people like that (especially on telegram) asking my opinion about some  projects.
Such people will take whatever you say to them as the focus point to invest. They don't seem to care if you are a total stranger they just meet in the internet or not.

Both the bear and bull market situations have advantages; we learn more during the bear market because when the price of coins drops significantly, it pushes us to learn how to identify a good project, as almost all of the price of coins drops, so we must learn before investing so that we do not invest in the wrong project.
While the market's bull run allows us to reap the benefits of our patience, now is the time to take our profits and gain more capital for future investments.

This advice is very contradictory because i believe that bitcoin it self is a personal decision that you can take to start up your own kind of business. Someone that doesn't know about bitcoin like to seek the opinion of people further decision of either trading on cryptocurrency or neither bitcoin in particular.

Do you know that newbies who don't know the rudiments of cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin do seek the opinion of any high rank member in the forum, and any information they come across they processed it as vital one. You don't have to know someone physically before you believe the person online, do you that so many of us find this community through online or social media pee say. So the world is a digital world, so you have the right to trust anyone that's you notice it's reputation in online.

Bear Market and Bull Market are important in their own ways and depending on the investor themselves.

For me, bull market is a time to sell and bear market is a time to accumulate. The problem is there are some investors who are doing the opposite. Investors are investing in a bull market because they are afraid not to ride on a train where all of the coins are pumping like crazy. On the other hand, investors are selling at a bear market because the afraid they might incur more losses that's why they will sell even at a loss.

Just remember, don't do what most of the people are doing. Another one is bear market is a time to accumulate and bull market is a time to sell.
Just follow the basic rule, buy low and sell high. If you want the right timing to buy, then always buy and accumulate more coins when there is bear market, and then you decide to sell for profits when the market is already bullish because that will be the start of seeing crypto prices consistently increasing. Otherwise, if you are doing the opposite, then prepare for losses anytime.

This question is a bit funny but I will answer base on my opinion, If it were before I would have said bull market , bull makes a whole lot of sense, reason is that all your portfolio increases in price and gives a lot of joy, but not until I understood that Bear market means an opportunity. However, I think bull market and bear market works hand in hand and both are very important in my opinion because bear market gives you the opportunity to accumulate your portfolio that later gives you those profit during the bull market. Therefore I love both.

Winding down.
Neither market sentiment is more important. Both are good opportunities for you though. You can buy cheap coins in a bear market & you can take profits in a bull market. We still have 4 year cycles in bitcoin now so you will have to be patient.

It’s impossible to time the exact bottom & exact top but anybody can tell when sentiment changes. Buy when low, sell when high. It doesn’t take a genius.
Both are important really as we cannot reap and harvest good amount of profits if we never bought early when it’s still in bear market. Also, it’s useless to buy and store our bitcoin when we never intend to sell our coins when the price is high or when bull market is around. So both market conditions should be relevant and compliment with each other.

Op, you have to advice yourself here. The question is, do you truly believe that bitcoin will make a new ATH or has the tendency to rise again? If yes, buy bitcoin but if no, save your money.

If by "new people" you mean new investors then yes, bear markets would generally be more helpful since if we consider how Bitcoin has behaved in the long term, then times like these would be the perfect moments for them to enter the market and start hodling. If the bull market though, then I would suggest to only invest a part, or not at all since you might just get swept by the hype (which is what happens most of the time to newbie investors).
That is something that "should" happen during bear times but unfortunately doesn't happen. It's a sad affair but when bitcoin price ends up being so low, people should be buying as much of it as possible and that would make it a lot more profitable for everyone and it would give a good return, but unfortunately people do not invest based on this, they get scared and get away from it during this period and that's a sad thing but a reality at the same time as well.

This causes the bear market to prolong itself and postpone the coming of bull run too. That is why it's a sad period, but eventually it will become something good one day.

So I was wondering that wether this bear market will be helpful for new people or not.
But of course, it's always different strokes for different folks. What makes meaning to one may not make to another. There are investors who get scared off by the experiences of the bear season while others firm up and learn from it. For me, I think the bear season is more didactic than the bull which is fraught with a hell of noise, excitement and merriment. If one doesn't learn a thing or two during a bear season, then one isn't observant and isn't likely to profit on the long run from this industry. The current bear run is affording many investors an opportunity to get onboard while there's still time for it.

So I am going to my main point and that is Bitcoin hit almost 70k dollars and that was just big and bigger milestone and currently it is just trading above 18k dollars. And in my opinion that is currently going in Bear Market. And that bear market will turn till Next halving and that might be in 2024 as per block data. So I was wondering that wether this bear market will be helpful for new people or not. Cause many people thoughts are different than old people in crypto. So I am preparing myself in Bear market so that I might be able to stand in next bull run that might be the biggest bull run for Bitcoin and that might be just all time high to almost 200k dollars as compared to 2021 Data.

If you feel that Bitcoin is currently too late for newbies to come this year? then the answer is wrong. In Bitcoin, you always have the same opportunity, because those of us who were there first felt regret. Learn from it all the facts you will always be given the opportunity when the bear market arrives to buy as much as you want. Make it long-term, because in the future Bitcoin could be much bigger. As we thought in the past, and until now all proved Bitcoin continues to provide many benefits. Moreover, what are we waiting for to feel doubt that Bitcoin in a bear market is the point where we will not find the same price in the future.

Yes you are right and my opinion was same cause bear market is not favorable for those people who wants quick rich schemes too. And that not good for those people are newbies. ]

Or for newbies, they will be discourage to enter the market because it's not going to make them money like in a bull run. But they have to understand that in a bear market, yes the market will be down, but you can take advantage of it, the price is cheap at a a discount. Just in this situation, from $69k, now to $20k, so that is huge cut from the price and so you can invest and buy in this dip.

And so when the bull run arrives, you have enough bitcoin in your wallet already. So you just have to wait for the right time to sell and make a huge profit from all the years you are holding.

Hello bitcointalkers, I was wondering that When Bitcoin Evolved almost in 2009 when it was in cents and still it is only 13 years old, not even even adult if we compare it to the Human life etc. I know it sounds funny.
Also if we compare this to the Stock market, If I am gone wrong that might be at least 400 to 500 years old and still Woprd economy is around us..
So my point was that Bitcoin is evolving day by day with many bull and bear seasons, I want to say that Bitcoin first Bull market was almost in 2013 when it touched only 100 dollars and that was just big milestone and now Bitcoin is trading per second in only 100 dollars and that is just timing things.
So I am preparing myself in Bear market so that I might be able to stand in next bull run that might be the biggest bull run for Bitcoin and that might be just all time high to almost 200k dollars as compared to 2021 Data.
I am writing this article so that big bitcointalk members that are since 2015 and have very very god knowledge in cryptocurrency and can advise me and many ohter people that are new.

I think the answer to your question is that the bear is as important as the bull.

The bear gives you the opportunity to buy cheap.
That's not to say that you can't buy cheap during a bull run. Sometimes you can get a token early during a bull run and make mad profit.

And also, there are people still making money from the bear.

So, on the long run, it depends on what kind of trader you are and you level of experience and expertise.

The bear and bull both hold relevance and are important to the market. The bear market creates opportunities for new investors to enter the market while without the expectation of the bull, investors will never take advantage of the bear market. So they are both important to the relevance of one to another and to the market. A market that is only in the bull will not permit opportunities for investors to get into the market, and a market that is only bearish will not encourage new investors to join.

Both markets are significant in any market, as you will see how a certain project evolved throughout its lifespan.
If you believe there is future for example in btc market, what you will do is accumulate while it is in bearish season.
Because you won't invest if you think there is no hope to recover or increase its price in the coming days.
You will also distinguish these 2 seasons, if you will compare their market performance, in this case, their history of prices.
But the fact is, no one is defining a bull or a bear market. Only people are giving it a certain distinction based on the prices.
So if it is all bull market, how can you distinguish a bear market? So yes, we do need both to identify which ones we are in right now.
And from that point, decide whether we invest or not in any type of market. It is on you how you will strategize to get profits later on.

Yes you are right but my point of view was that if you are pro trader and have good money than this bear market will be good for these people and can
Be game changer for you and it might make you millionaire too. And that is very very good thing that why I think bear market is good but not for all.

If a newbie enters now and sees the BTC chart he will see that it has already been worth 70k and he will most certainly be scared. But in all this ups and downs, only the price has changed.

The fundamentals remain the same, the innovation behind it is the same, nothing has changed. Unfortunately the bear market is bad for newcomers to enter, but it is good for veterans to accumulate, as they know exactly this idea I said.
The beginners only be afraid of lost and they are not ready to make profit, i know quite well that the major concern of everyone in cryptocurrency investment is to make profit and continue to make profit. The bearish market don't capture the attention of newbies to invest in cryptocurrency, because what comes to their mind is that cryptocurrency is collapsing. So they only pick interest in cryptocurrency when the price is in bullish.
