Every project will do everything in order to gain the attention of many, especially the big investors in the market. The more they get the bigger the profit they will gain, this kind of tactics is not new. If Binance is eyeing for something that will endanger the status of ethereum, I am pretty sure that ethereum will take the necessary action in order to maintain their status and even make it more stronger.

New strategy and adaption to any threat is a big challenge to every project owner therefore that is the big reason why they keep on growing and they didn't stop upgrading their platform.

The power and popularity of Binance can't be questioned.

But about the chain, obviously it is run by a company (BNB) and that looks like a centralized chain.

Not really, simply the price of Ethereum has dropped to the bottom of the extreme, making investors lose a lot of money and they don't trust it anymore. Since then the company and the responsible person will gradually give up  Roll Eyes Cry

Binance changed rules about token burning. Now, they do not have to burn exact amount of tokens depending on the quarterly profit.
It seems little bit confusing.

I cannot say anything on this point. Although I am strong supporter and I believe in ethereum so much that the coin would surpass even the king coin, bitcoin, in the nearest future, binance coin is also doing very much well in the market. People say that BNB will make its good impact and grow much better in the category of exchange. Binance exchange has become the top one exchange in the world. So will be BNB I think.

It is no longer news that Binance is launching their own chain on the 23rd of April, 2019. All BNB holders can convert their ERC 20 to Binance Chain and MITH has announce to be the first to migrate to Binance Chain and pumped 60% overnight. Is Binance Chain decentralized or semi-decentrilized considering that they will be in control of their chain network. With the lack of smart contract, are they really pulling any challenge to ETH? Well. If the purpose is for crowdfunding and the possibility of getting listed, BNB might receive a lot of attention. In my own opinion, Binance Team is setting the pace for other exchanges and they are doing really well.

I would say no. Whats wrong with moving from Ethereum chain to own chain. Most project does that, swapping to the main net from eth net.
maybe because binance will launch the binance dex exchange in their platform, so it will be optimized if they using their own chain.

The team of Binance have got great ideas and they are putting those ideas to work.
This is why I am not surprised to see BNB grow that much.
The Binance chain, might not yet be a threat to ethereum, but I see it making a lot of impacts, despite being centralized.
A lot of coins will be seen migrate to it, but it will not be able to accommodate all, which is where ethereum will continue to be relevant.
You forget that BNB is a coin of a single exchange. If the exchange Binance will be hacked, the coin will fall dramatically. ETH does not have such threats.
yes indeed, for the advantages than ICO ,binance with the IEO it is safer for investors to buy those coins, guaranteed listing ..its good for short term investment. I dont know why bnb dont have smart contract?

If binance would continue this good steps upon developing into a new high level coin, no doubt it can surpass ethereum coin. But i dont see any reason that BNB can be a treat to ethereum coin. I think BNB should be decentralized so that no reasons to be hack, or what i am saying if the binance got hacked so theres no bunch of BNB lose.

Best code wins..Binance has showed that it can become top rated exchange in the world in no time. So, when they have necessary skills and right talent, they would come up with a chain to give tough competition to others like Ethereum
Every day or other, new coins are up in magazines and news. Market is flourishing and extending in good directions. But we need to think what we are choosing. When market becomes saturated, your choices are turning points of your way. Whenever you chose a cheap, illegitimate and non-friendly exchange, you would be slaughtered. Scammers are just in position to attack, so do your homework first.

So what are you trying to say here ? Sorry but i dont get you  but lemme guess , your saying that etherium is still the best because eth will remain when the hype of other coins  will get over ?   Am i right  ?  Well your also right  .  if im an investor ill still priotize old coins because they are already established while other new coins can easily dissapear after they sap the people's  money

Binance blockchain is actually not a threat if you ask me because in as much as they are creating a blockchain network which other decentralized exchanges can operate on their blockchain lack the use of smart contract hence not a full decentralized exchange as we all wish to see happen. Don't forget people with major blockchain updates by the Ethereum Network i know Ethereum will still stand tall amidst these threats from Binance. DEXs are the future of exchanges and Binance is surely not giving that so how can they overthrow Ethereum

Binance is getting a lot of hype this past few months due to their launchpad platform. I wonder when would it stop and going to return to start the price correction itself. But for now, people are too busy to invest and trade on their new token which is really growing too fast. If you compare BNB and ETH, BNB is way too far from what ETH has been reached. But if BNB will be the main ERC20 on other tokens there might be a tendency that they would follow what ETH encountered.

That is really looks possible and I am scared about that. But hope that it will not be true and Ethereum developers will make some big anouncment and changes that will be interested for people.

I know the emergence of the chain is going to cause a split in the minds of developers who are making use of the platform, and for the fact that binance are always committed to delivering the best quality is also a plus that their chain will be a very good one, though we would still have a lot of developers making use of the ethereum Blockchain because it's so difficult for some people to move from one project to another when they already have a working project on the existing Blockchain.

I don’t think that running on centralized chain will still stop people from widely accepting this system, have we not see a lot of centralized exchanges and see the massive volumes they are getting, people still embraced them, despite the fact they are centralized exchanges.

Binance has already built a very strong community and also won the heart of many of its users who are willing to trust anything coming from them, they might really get all the necessary support that will assist them top the list on the coin market cap above every other coin other than BTC. Yes, bitcoin there will always be a very wide margin between any coin and BTC no matter the tech they come out with.

Yes, i think binance is very strong rival for ethereum. Because Binance will be easier grow with good exchange platform. So if ethereum will grow, ethereum have to make some project for beaten ethereum. And i think Binance chain will grow and grow in the future.

I dont think so, ethereum is very popular coin and many people is believe in the project and team. And Ethereum has good platform for many Altcoin (ERC20) i think is very impossible for binance to beat ethereum. Thats like ethereum will beat BTC, its very imposible

I think the euphoria will pass soon. Binans builds his chain on someone else's blockchain. For them, only the transaction speed and the ability to run tokens are important. This gives no development for the industry. Ethereum is a completely different product. They are just different.

I don;t think Bnb will replace ethereum in the near future. We don't know what kind of development these platforms will become in the future. So I think both has a chance to become better and it is possibel that bnb can surpass ethereum one day.

We all know how hard Binance has been trying in their quest to be on top and they have shown a lot of people and the world they can be trusted with their system. It might not be now, but I think with the introduction of their own chain which will be kicking off very soon, I think a lot of project are already preparing to migrate but waiting to see its effectiveness first.

The only thing that may draw them back a bit is lack of new projects that are quality enough to run on their chain, we can see how strict Binance is, in their dealings, unlike Ethereum smart contract that could accommodate all sorts of projects and does not know if one is scam or not.

In the short team I don’t think it’s a threat to ethereum at all but on the long run it probably might be because binance is the only project that try to improve themselves to suit the market conditions as we’ve seen of recent how they brought back confidence into the crypto market and restored hope too to the already dilapidated market
