yes, bitcoin is a digital gold no question about it I would say it more than gold because if you compare the value of gold and bitcoin you will come to know.
After all, I consider that bitcoin serves as a store of value.
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.
I fully agree with you: btc was designed as a method of payment and it should be used so. But there is nothing we can do about people who perceive bitcoin as a form of investment, unless there is some regulation which would prohibit unlawful trading of btc (though I doubt that such a regulation could be implemented technically).
Bitcoin is anything but an advanced gold yet we look at its a computerized gold. It is a computerized cash. Gold is only a physical resources however bitcoin is online bases resources. bitcoin can't be equated with bitcoin gold not like gold

Bitcoin price is based on the demand for this cryptocurrency. If one day many thousands of people decide they do not need BTC anymore, its price will fall critically.
in my opinion, now is the digital age comparing bitcoin with gold is worth it because the price of bitcoin continues to improve from year to year. and bitcoin has indirectly changed some of the world with bitcoin itself, gold can be replaced
In my opinion bitcoin is not a digital gold. It is a digital currency. Gold is physical assets but bitcoin is online bases assets. The value of gold is stable but bitcoin is fluctuate. Many people compare it with gold.

Well we have different understanding about what bitcoin is and how bitcoin help us. Most of us considered it as gems, assets or investments that will give us high profit in the future.
