Of course not, bitcoin is not dead and for me it will change the world for better future, and those who says it's dead I would strongly tell them to stop that speculations they only wanted price to be  lowered so that they will buy it cheaper. Bitcoin will become a world history currency and will be a stable currency in the future years and more technology will be developed because digital currency is a sustainable sources of money.

I wish I had a BTC everytime BTC died
That means I would have 127 BTC.

There's the kernel of an idea in there. Perhaps every author who achieves a listing in there with a declaration of death should receive a crowdfunded 0.05 BTC just to piss them off when they bin it and check the price in a couple of years.

Better will be for someone to assign 1 address to each author and don't give the priv key to the author ... just throw it away ... and let the author know that there are his BTC Smiley))

I would love to see their faces when they find out they have 50.000$ and can't spend them.

I don't see why this thread is still alive.  The original post was posted over 2 years ago at a time bitcoin was on a decline.  It is obviously far from dead now.

Some people enliven this topic every time the bitcoin price goes down by a few hundred dollars. Beginners begin to panic and write on this topic.
If bitcoin will exist for 20 years, then this thread too

short answer no, just a little crisis due to the price being low/many lost huge amount of money because they bought at the peak, taxes being a problem, and other small stuff

just a despair phase that is very long apparently
No bitcoin is not dead eventhough bitcoins price sometimes decrease it's not the big reason that bitcoin would be dead even bitcoin is not accepted by the government. There are no exact answer or situation that bitcoin would be dead.

Government does not really play any role in operation of bitcoins. So yes they would not affect bitcoins deadly quest. Moreover, bitcoin is popularly known as decentralised currency that is for the same reason you said, government doesn't affect it. Bitcoin will not be dead, it will fall in value but Im pretty sure it will rise again like lightening fast due to its popularity. There are huge bitcoin farms in the world which keeps bitcoin pumping into market.  So saying bitcoin dead is really obsolete statement. Grin

Bitcoin is not dead because if its dead then this forum will be gone also and a lot of people now are selling their bitcoins in the market and just migrating to another coin which is not happening so it is understandable that bitcoin is not dead and it is still alive and kickin' in the market.

If bitcoin was dead then why would you post this on a forum dedicated to bitcoin unless you thought nobody would answer. Bitcoin is most defiantly not dead and is in fact rising in popularity.

I think this thread was made by the OP the time where bitcoin's price is dumping a lot losing their investments not having any profits, that is why they are saying that bitcoin is dead. Now bitcoin is so popular and still gaining it's price.

Bitcoin is most definitely not dead. In fact, it's still bursting through all time highs, and we're touching $1400 right now. We've gotten to a point where there are so many transactions that the network is having trouble keeping up, and the fees have shot up.
A lot many things are taking place in the network. Based on the single issue that too happening at times of increased transactions taking place at a single time the traffic increases and takes more time for confirmation. So based on this we should not consider it as dead. It is more energetically growing towards new high. If it's dead then within 8years we could have never experienced such a price.

I can say never, Bitcoin will never dead because if there will be a single person use bitcoin and that means he was keep the bitcoin still alive. There will be demand for bitcoin and the price of bitcoin will always be there. And the market of bitcoin still running and it will not be stopped the ecosystem of bitcoin that it can make bitcoin dide.

Bitcoin can never be dead for now, we are seeing a lot of people using bitcoin and that is making it's name noisier. Those people that are saying that bitcoin is dead, they really want to spread some lies and fuds so that people will have a fear to keep on holding their bitcoins and will be forced to sell them which gives advantage to them.
I agree that bitcoin is not dead for now because of the good news and a lot of good move done by the countries for bitcoin to become even stronger currency in the market. Saying bitcoin is dead or gonna dump is just a fud that they are trying to make a hype for bitcoin to be down.

Yes a lot of good news are spreading and it has a very big impact with the price movement of bitcoin. And there's no way for bitcoin to be dead now, it's just like a false news or information to make the price of bitcoin fall again so that many of those people are going to have the chance of buying at low price.
Don't believe on negative news if there is no solid basis, it's just a FUD to make the weak holders panic, actually a positive news makes a big impact on the price of bitcoin than it's negative news because people had already put their faith on the future of bitcoin.

Well they are just get nervous about the dumping of the bitcoin. Well the bitcoin structure is capable of coming back after dump so if the bitcoin will dump then it will goes up sooner but  i dont have idea why people keep saying that bitcoin is dead well its just a hype unless if there is a big problem will occur in bitcoin
