Yes other coins might make you more profits but i think of bitcoin as storing value that in the long run gonna make me profits on my assets too.

when a large drop occurs, this is because there are several factors that affect it. some rumors and restrictions are one of them. but the most influential due to a correction in the previous year. so, bitcoin remains popular.

I would say, bitcoin loses the interest of the most of the people who have interest in bitcoin back from a few couple of months because the price of bitcoin is going down and the people are losing their interest because they think that this is the end and there is no sense for them to just keep their interest in bitcoin since they can also experience some huge losses.
bitcoin already has its own place in every heart of his fans. although the presence of other coins still will not stem the fame of bitcoin.

Its been a really challenging start this year, yes investment right now may still be seen by some as risky but hopefully with some positive headlines I can see bitcoin steadily rising again.
