I think bitcoin will not ever loose it popularity but the investor's of it, that's probably why bitcoin affect the today's price. if you heard the news some country's ban bitcoin or all crypto exchanges that's why price is dumping. Only the believe of the people is the key of its price for its increase and decrease.

Just because the price of bitcoin is really high and it'll be less profitable to invest in bitcoin than investing in any other cryptocurrency which yields large amount of profit. Like if your investment is low then investing in a cheap coin which will be promising is a better idea than investing in bitcoin which will be less profitable. In the end everything is about making more money. So it's not that bitcoin is losing its popularity, in fact all those other coins come into picture when one starts knowing about bitcoin so bitcoin is the means from which other cryptos come into light.

I think with the current rise of popularity of alt coins, a lot more people are now investing on good alt coins that are actually faster and cheaper than bitcoins. It is losing its popularity but bitcoins still step up the game as it makes its one of biggest come backs in 2018.

Of course bitcoin is still popular even the prices are extremely falling down no alternative coin can go further the price of bitcoin. The price drop is only temporary it would recover in the next coming days or months. Si better stop panic otherwise you will loose all your investments.

Bitcoin losing its popularity? Well I do't think so, it just that every market has it down and ups, it still depend on the principles of market and demand. Aside from that it was recently that this trading community be known to other countries that-makes it still a hopes to everyone when it comes to financial power and stability. So be patience and wait for it growth in the nearest future.

Bitcoin for me is the mother of all cryptocurrencies and the most popular one.Although its price now is low does not mean its popularity is fading. We need to continue trusting its real strength. Bitcoin losing popularity? Let me tell you this: the drop makes it even more popular, because it creates more noise in the media, and more people want to figure out what it is and how it works. Remember, last year (in November) the price was only $4000s and it was a big deal at that time. Now it is $7000s and people still panic. I personally don't see any obstacle that will block the price hitting very very high in the nearest future! Wink

Mining should be available for everyone.
But now we have hard fork called Bitcoin Cash which is 8 times faster and much cheaper, which resembles Satoshi idea more closely. And many other altcoins to choose from.

I think the silenilcing of any big news about bitcoin is not a sign that it has lost its popularity, I believe the media just believed the news had settled. Bitcoin would not be unpopular because it is the base of all altcoins. In order to buy other coins you firdt have to buy bitcoin. Which is the reason why I think bitcoin would retain its popularity as long as cryptocurrencies remain in the market.

Bitcoin is the most stable coin here in the cryptocurrency world and have the most big volume so we don't need to worry about bitcoin getting devalued. A lot of people already know bitcoin and trust it, they even know that whenever bitcoin dips, it will surely recover in a month or two, or even maybe just a week.
