I think bitcoin and ethereum are equally important in the role of cryptocurrency. I invested in bitcoin for the long term, while ethereum I use as an altcoin purchase that aims to gain profit trading.

Both are important in own way. This is good for crypto community to be little more then just one crypto that is important. Both have own block chain, many call bitcoin blockchain 1.0 and ethereum blockchain 2.0, seen even text online about it and they also say about 1.0 and 2.0.
Some say that bitcoin is better other that ethereum is and this is for both correct. Bitcoin is most value crypto and as such will have far more investment but from other hand think that small investors will use ethereum for investing. Both have hard fork and both will be good value in next time with lot of investments.

ETH right now is used because of its efficiency and low fees plus the fact that is more faster. But there is no way it can de-value the importance of bitcoin.

They are both are important. But I imagine that bitcoin is gold, then the ether is uranium or plutonium, which presents much more possibilities for use, besides just buying and keeping "under the bed".
Its more like bitcoin is the God of all the other coins including ETH. ETH is considered as altcoins also, we can't deny the fact that ETH gives us more functionality. But without BTC, ethereum and other altcoins are just nothing.

I think you're asking the wrong question. Bitcoin is special and ethereum has more function to it. Both very different things to say one's better than the other.
Ethereum has more potential than bitcoin, however, bitcoin is the dominance, and is going to be the dominance for a while since anytime people wants to get a certain cryptocurrency, it must be exchanged from bitcoin, in the world of cryptocurrency, bitcoin is the base currency
Ethereum can get there. It is running up to it's worth it just needs more foundation just like bitcoin has then it can over take it as the number one crypto

I quite think so since it is really something that is surely the king of all crypto currencies out there all oceer the world.
And it is obviously the determiner of prices on different crypto currency. If it goes up a lot of alternative coins or token also goes up. And if it goes does the prices of other alternative coins or other tokrens that is what i think. Not that i say ethereum is completely useless in the crypto world. I am just saying.
What do you mean by btc is more important than etherum? It 's both different cc but since in my expierience the vaölue of all cc's are connected to btc I 'd rather say btc is gib brother to all alts..
I think Bitcoin is more important than ETH because Bitcoin is widely used around the world and people tend to buy Bitcoin more. For me ETH should only be used when investing in ICO projects and the smart contract of this platform is very good
Bitcoin is really more important than ethereum because if there is no bitcoin then there will be no altcoins because they only get their idea from bitcoin to create another type of cryptocurrency that is called altcoin right now. despite the fact that Ethereum too is really having the most promising potential among altcoins. But still Bitcoin is the first used crypto currency and it have the highest price actually.
