Yes, bitcoin is more important than ethereum. Bitcoin is safe than any other currency. And now bitcoin's price is high than anyother currency.
They are both important, because they use different technologies and because of this they develop crypto-currencies. It can not be said that one of them is more important. Bitcoin is more popular only because it appeared earlier and it’s percentage of rise is a slightly higher than Ethereum.😊 
Bitcoin is the king's of cryptocurreny, so need to compar with others. becouse he is boss,that's why bitcoin price going to moon.but transaction fee is a big factor for bitcoin users. other hand eth create a market very smoothly but not equal bitcoin.

there's no doubt that bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies so why should I pick eth instead of bitcoin ? There's not even a single good reason for me to prefer eth instead of the king.

You are right, bitcoin at an unstable price, will keep you for a short time, while eth, with its price stability, will keep you in the long run. maybe the bitcoin price is very high from eth, but for the functional side, i think btc and eth are just as good.
