Looking at it in general does look like Bitcoin is more important than Ethereum, because Bitcoin is more famous and is more familiar to many people in the world of crypto curency before ethereum is known.
Has proven from the price alone is much higher than Ethereum. But from behind it all, it doesn't mean Ethereum is not important, we know Ethereum till nowadays also seems to look more so important, and it's better in altcoins and ICO.

Since the value of bitcoin today is significantly larger than the ethereum, then definitely yes.
Considering the market cap, price, existence it is all in the favor of bitcoin. It is due to bitcoin today we have so many other cypto currencies existing and also btc has given the investors the return which nobody could have thought about. Thus btc is all above the ETH for now. But that does not mean that ETH is not at all important. It should also form the part of your portfolio because its more like a stable and reliable when it comes to the rise and the transaction fees cost is very less.
I think both are important, just different from price and position, bitcoin as the parent and king of altcoin while Ethereum is a bitcoin partner. and of course both are the most sought after altcoin by everyone.

I agree, I tend to think over time ETH will be more stable. Because ETH has businesses building on top of it using it for day to day operations.

I think bitcoin and ethereum are both important to us because by now the price of bitcoin was increasing and also the ethereum. We don't allow to compete both cryptocurrencies especially the bitcoin and ethereum because both of them is a partner for a good investment and for our future. Bitcoin is most popular in all coins that's why we can say that bitcoin is important to us. But ethereum is also important in all coins because when the price of bitcoin will increasing ethereum is also increase. And ethereum is for long time investment and good for our future.
The most important think to understand is that Bitcoin and Ethereum both are two different things. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and a source of all cryptocurrrencies whereas ethereum is tokens. Ethereum platform has has different. Bitcoin is definitely is more important as it has more value but ethereum is also important its its value is also rising costantly.

Yes it is true but, we can't denied that bitcoin is more popular than ethereum and bitcoin is more usable than ethereum. Moreover even how modernized the system of ethereum I guess it is not enough to surpass bitcoin in the crypto currency society. But Ethereum is modern and progressive currency.

maybe all the answers here are bitcoin.bitcoin the most important than the ethereum but they just raise the value bigger bitcoin value than ethereum.bitcoin used to invest to earn ethereum used to sell smart contract
I think Ethereum solves a problem which Bitcoin hasn't yet implemented - smart contracts.

Not near enough though. But its too early to call. Many are rooting for etc to be next inine after btc in crypto supremacy with many big companies showing belief in it's platform. Who knows. Just have etheriums on hold.

BTC and ETH are two different coins with different usage and purpose. So I can’t say which is more important. But BTC is definitely the more popular coin.

Yes, because based on my observations it is primarily became the top cryptocurrency because of its characteristics and advantage that made it most important for investers and users alike compared to etherum. Bitcoin's price has become so high that more and more people value bitcoin and strive to hold more hoping to increase their investments.
Importance is a complicated term, we can't reach a result like this. If we mean the infrastructre and benefits etheruem is the star of the new time. But we can't forget bitcoin started all the crypto action.
