It will took more years to see volatile market be suppressed, and even though huge pumps will happen we can't prevent any bigger dumps to occur drastically. That's the trend of bitcoin, because many rich people really got interested to buy bitcoin as their primary asset these days. Holders were increasing sophisticatedly, and when someone sells? another one buys and decides to hold bitcoin.

I am a strong believer in HODL. I expected bitcoin volatility decreases as time goes by, I totally didn't expect such big price change in the past several days.

Is bitcoin volatility here to stay and not decrease?
There are some people who will tell you that very soon that the market cap of Bitcoin will move to trillions and the price rate will be very high and at that time the price is going to become stable. Okay. Maybe that is true or maybe it’s not, because one thing I know for sure is that there are two different kinds of cryptocurrency – the stable ones and the ones that are volatile. If anyone wants something stable, they will and should probably go for the stable coins like PAX, TUSD and the rest of them. Bitcoin is volatile, and I believe that is how it’s going to be… and even if it gets to a trillion market cap and becomes stable, it will still fall back again to a very low price. It won’t stay at that for long. If you don’t like volatility, simply go for the stable coins, they are there for those that needs stability.

Unfortunately or fortunately, the volatility in the cryptocurrency market continues to be very high. This is not conducive to attracting investors who are afraid of risk. Nevertheless, many people consider Bitcoin as a fairly profitable tool for investing. Albeit risky but quite profitable. Therefore, many people forget about the high volatility, instability of the course, the insecurity of storage is still investing in cryptocurrency in the hope of making a profit.

I think that Bitcoin volatility is beneficial to all cryptocurrency users,

to all investors and traders yes it is beneficial to them because they can buy when the value becames low and they can sell if ever the value recovers or became high but what about those people that only use thier crypto for payment porpuses ?  they dont want volatility but they wish crypto will became stable so that they can pay or recieve the actuall value of the coins after they initiate the transaction   .

btc volatility is here to stay but it will differ sometimes depending on the mood of the people . if there are more people that will make a transaction the value wont stop fluctuating  .

it could get more stable with a higher number of users, like any fiat currency. not totally stable but with little variations.
the number of users is still too small and the value is under huge speculation.  maybe in 10, 20 years, who knows...

I think that Bitcoin volatility is beneficial to all cryptocurrency users, because it gives unlimited earning opportunities to. In addition, the one who collects a lot of Bitcoin on their wallets, after some time can become a really rich person, because Bitcoin will sooner or later reach  its maximum value.

At least the volatility will remain as long as there is no institution that regulates the cryptomarket, thus the supply and demand will continue to occur which keeps volatility continuing. But, it does not mean that the hodl strategy will not get good results, this industry will continue to grow and even though the volatility is very high in this market, of course prices will also increase which means there will be certain periods that will make prices move very far.

How come you get the idea of having this kind of thinking? Volatility is the way how cryptocurrency move and this also the way why we are profiteering so letting this gone means dying of this community  lol

Volatility is the exact feature of Bitcoin, which let traders make money. People cannot earn with stable coins - they are used simply as the alternative of the currencies especially in the countries with the poorest economy.

For me, the fluctuating price of a bitcoin and another cryptocurrency is always depending on the market demands. All priceable items have volatility is only depend on the rely on it, so if bitcoin is fluctuating is means its still good. Also, that crypto market is not massive if you will compare it to some other field. Just focus on the bright that cryptos are know accepted by some countries, companies, etc. Smiley

Yes, I, as a new player in Bitcoin trading, really hope that future price movements will stabilize over time, because the volatility of Bitcoin for me is very terrible, for new Investors it is very detrimental, because prices change very quickly every time.

Along side time flies, the volatility will decrease within years, if more and more will use Bitcoin and crypto. For now the rich people can easly manipulate the market condition, because there are not many people who are using it right now, and not well-known for now.
What should change with time for the volatility of cryptocurrency to fall? Will the market be filled with other participants? Why is the price of cryptocurrency not so volatile? There will be a lot of people on the market, but everyone will make transactions at their own discretion, due to specific circumstances, and therefore demand and supply will always change, and the volatility of cryptocurrency will remain as high.

One cannot really tell but I strongly believe that the volatility is here to stay and playing  along with the current trend and market conditions are the right thing to do now. I have decided to keep holding for now until Bitcoin get close to $20,000 before taking some profits. It seems the market is to good now to decrease and that is why if you want to make money in the next three to four months to come then you should keep holding.

I highly believe yes. It is going to stay as the gold of the internet and just like the physical gold, it's value is volatile. Traders will prefer it that way and we will surely have an alternative altcoin that will serve as the currency of the internet. I'm imagining bitcoin in the future still having a volatility even after reaching $100k value.

No, every currency has value movement to goes up or down, even USD and Euro can be volatile. Market is unpredictable, we don't know exactly when it will be. Just remember in early 2018 that cryptocurrency are bleeding cause of whale just sell their coin at the all time high price, then you guys just instant buy, that is purely trapped. And then in June 2019 bitcoin coming back as the king with its movement hit $12k as this year high, before reach $12k it really painful to see that bitcoin hit low at $3.2k in in January 2019. So, Crypto market still possible to volatile.

No, I don't think the value of BTC will decrease in the future. Because 2018, the whales have taken a lot of investors' money. a year full of blood in the crypto market and in 2019, its value has increased rapidly again. That's normal.
Rapid collapse will lead to rapid growth again.
Therefore, I think the value of BTC will be stable and increase until the end of the year. Wink

I trust trade more than the hodl
But, hodl is also called as trade tho? What do you mean by that. The only difference is just hodl takes longer to achieve your goals.

I think they are different, hodl means  the person is holding Bitcoin and wont trade it, then when comes a time that the price meet the expectation, he can sell it.  On the other hand, trading as we know it is and action where he have to buy and sell Bitcoin.

"Buy low and sell high" just do this thing and you won't regret it.
Yea, it's just a way. But, that's not easy as you said :^)  Many people have been failed while doing this.

Indeed, several people who thought that buying and selling at a profit is as easy as abc, later finding themselves losing their capital investment due to the asset their holding devaluing, and they missed the right opportunity to buy or sell.

Volatility is here to stay, it has been ever since depending on the demand and supply of a certain item.  It is a universal occurrence and not limited only to cryptocurrency.

I do not know why someone hopes that bitcoin will reduce its price volatility. It will never happen. As long as the price of Bitcoin, like the entire decentralized cryptocurrency, will be formed on the basis of supply and demand, until then their price volatility will always be very high. The magnitude of supply and demand cannot be stable and constant regardless of any factors such as the liquidity of a cryptocurrency or its high price.

Bitcoin volatility will always exist and I will explain you why.
First of all the market is 247 open and people can make huge trades every time during the day. Also, it is open to everyone so the volume of sell or buy orders cannot be predicted in order to support the market somehow. In my opinion, I want that volatility to exist because it can give a lot of profits.
