In a word No. I transferred 5 ETH there on 6.1.2018 Tracked on etherscan.io everything seemed ok when sent was not deposited in my account at CRYTOPIA. Raised support query with them but no response. STAY CLEAR OF THIS SITE OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR COINS:  Angry Cry Undecided

I can't believe someone deposited 5 ETH in there.
Next time send them to a paper wallet, print and burn them. At least you will heat your room for 20 seconds.

Cryptsy used to be way better than cryptopia and you all saw what happened.
BTC-E used to be way better than cryptopia and here it is now www.btc-e.com

I have stopped trading in cryptopia and emptied my account 7 months ago.
There are plenty of bad practices by this exchange like 200 confirmations. So, if there is a pump in a coin it will take you 2 days in some coins until they deposit into your account. This way you miss the high price and not be able to sell.
Now, they have problems with LTC and DOGE markets that they are not capable to fix.  Cheesy

personally, I think cryptopia is safe and legit and I was surprised to know that they have a big trader inside that site. I think it is normal if they shut down the registration because maybe they cannot handle a new customer that is bigger than they thought. but I hope that in one day, they will open new registrations for people so other people can try to trade on their site. I have good experiences too with them and now I still trade with them besides use poloniex and bittrex.

I guess a lot of other traders switched from poloniex and bittrex to cryptopia. Poloniex and bittrex's new verification rules and bad service probably gave traders little choice but to go to cryptopia, and now cryptopa is starting to struggle supporting so many users.

Hi. I have been browsing coinmarketcap and see some good looking coins that are listed on Cryptopia. But, are they safe to use? I am in the United States and wonder if they follow all of the regulations and rules? Just wondering if anyone in the USA has any experience bitcoin trading on this exchanger? Thanks Smiley

Level 2 verification is pending for a quite a while. They are very slow and absolutely no customer support, which sucks!

They can't cope with the sheer number of new registrations. They say it had reached half a million new registrations a month before they stopped accepting new users, This is a letter the founders posted in their news section to explain the reason for the poor service and apologise.

Letter From The Founders
My name is Rob Dawson, or probably better known as "Hex", and I am one of the two Co-Founders of Cryptopia. Adam ("sa_ddam213") and I started Cryptopia as a hobby, largely due to our own negative experiences with other exchanges and a desire to build the website that we ourselves wanted to use. 6 months into development we founded and incorporated Cryptopia as a company, and after 12 months of development the site went live into production for the first time in December 2014. For the first 2 years the company consisted soley of Adam and myself, working our regular full times jobs and dedicating our spare time and income to Cryptopia, and while we were proud of our growth and what we were achieving it was not even a drop compared to what we've experienced in the last 6 months, let lone the last week. Roughly this time last year Adam and I being well into having quit our jobs to work on Cryptopia full time and running low on savings and resources had a very real conversation about whether or not we should shut Cryptopia down, we had a modest 30,000 users, with an average of 2,000 concurrent user sessions at any given time, and averaged about 300 BTC in trade volume a day; we were proud of what we had achieved, but at the time it simply wasn't sustainable with our dwindling resources.

Obviously we didn't shut down Cryptopia in January 2017, thanks to an investment we were able to keep pushing through. By the 1st of December we hit 500,000 users. On the 31st of December we hit 1,000,000 users. By the 3rd of January we hit 1,100,000 users. By the 4th of January even with registrations disabled for 3 hours, we hit 1,200,000 users. With registrations paused again we're now sitting at 1,400,000 users. We've gone from just 2 people to over 50 people including contractors and consultants and we're looking to at the very least double that as soon as we can, but that also brings with it its own set of hurdles. I mention all of this only to give context as I would like to acknowledge the complaints and concerns about our level of service. We are aware that our level of service has been suffering, but that is not due to any complacency on our part, rest assured that we are hiring people, and developing the processes to manage those people to grow with the demand we're facing and scale as best as we can. Please bear with us, as we know how frustrating it can be for users involved in issues impacting their ability to transact freely, but we're in an unprecedented time with adoption and interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain surging and Cryptopia is dedicated to being a quality service provider in this evolving landscape.

Thank you for supporting Cryptopia and being a part of our community.

Is it in USA even neccessary to provide ID, when only cryptocurrencies without FIAT are traded?
Are you still able to withdraw during ID processing?

To OP:
My experiences on Cryptopia are good. They have active support and pay out very fast.

I tried withdrawing Decred recently and it is stuck in processing status for 2 days now. Will update when it gets unstuck. Use cryptopia with caution.

cryptopia is safe for me and I think for every people which trade on that site. although cryptopia is a small exchange, I think cryptopia is one of the safe and legit sites and you can trade with safety. but you need to activate the security to make your account more safety and you can avoid getting hack. personally, I don't any bad experience while I trade on that site and I still make a profit although it is not too big, I am happy to see that I can make another profit.

Cryptopia is for my experience one of the most trustable exchangers. They have a quick support, huge community and active chat.
It is only quite slow loading at the monent. They should also improve their mobile interface, what is awful and old fashioned.

Agree. It's my first exchange where I learned how to trade. It is also my favorite arbitrage site and where most of  coins pumped easily. It has the same level of popularity like Nova and Coinexchange have. I never had problems from day 1 up to now.

I just exchanged about 196 Zero for BTC on the Cryptopia, but I did not get Bitcoins in my account (I had 0.05979240 BTC before selling Zero and after sale I only have so much). Looks like I sold Zero for nothing. Now I do not have nor Zero nor Bitcoins. How is it possible ?

Check orders, maybe you didn't sell them.
There is no other explanation, if you've sold them and you didn't receive bitcoins contact support, they are only one who can help.

Thank you for the answer, Happy New Year. Order is filled, Zero it is sold:

cryptopia is safe and good as far as I use it, I often use it, and the coin price is pretty good there, lots of traders are interested in trading there, you can activate 2fa for more security
