Dogecoin Price Losing the Grip as Elon Musk May Not Remain Twitter CEO for Long!

The Dogecoin price has been trading below the crucial 200-day MA since the beginning of the yearly trade. Meanwhile, the buying volume has fallen heavily. Also Today Elon Musk expressed his willingness to step down as Twitter CEO. He conducted a poll on twitter platform.

The Dogecoin price seems incredibly bearish and if Elon Musk quits as the Twitter CEO, the token may be badly impacted. Earlier Coinpedia made dogecoin price prediction for the end of 2023, as $0.158. But with current news it wants us to rethink and ask – is doge coin dead?

Does this looks like killing Doge? and also this really means one thing that Only Elon who's running the movement of Dogecoin and not other supporters at all?

lol Dogecoin will remain though the price may drop badly for a while , as we have seen this growing how many times now.
but being dead or dying is far from reality .

Maybe they are worried since Elon has big influence and might it create some negative effect if  he abandon this coin.

But people need to realize that guy is just doing a business with doge so any hyping or some action he do to highlight its name has personal agenda and do it for his profits so better for those people to quit looking for more pumps. Sell once profit is there since whales like Elon will be more lucky if he is the one who gonna sell first and leave those other people hanging and bag holding some shit that they think will pump more in future.

As far as I know, Doge's price had increased. At that time, Elon Musk was not yet CEO of Twitter, but Elon Musk only influenced his followers through his tweets to do something for Doge, which in the end had a significant effect on increasing Doge's.
so if he wants to let go of the ceo on twitter. I think it's clear that there won't be any influence with the doge because there's no direct correlation.

especially now that the situation is indeed a bear market, Elon Musk will not be able to change this situation and make Doge increase, Doge will continue to follow the market situation which is really not good.
We will see in 2023, will Doges be able to survive in a difficult market situation, if they can get past that then when the halving occurs again, Doges will be able to increase as well, Doges will not die.

Elon is loosing his seat not selling the Dogecoin which he has bought.
But we can't say anything. Because I think Elon is loosing his reputation in public. He recognized as a well minded person in the public but now he has lost his 40% reputation in the public.
By the way if he will sell his hodl Dogecoin than it will make a huge impact on Dogecoin price

I don't think that Elon is losing grip of Twitter, on the contrary, he bought it already and now has full control of it. Doge has existed even before Elon put a hype of it, and so it will continue to exist even if Elon will not support it.

The market is terrible continue, I do agree, and so is the other coins as well including Bitcoin. And so when we had another bull run, for sure Doge could be one coin that will enjoy the support again and maybe reaches new all time high, with or without Elon hyping it.
Exactly. Elon Musk remains as the owner of Twitter, even if behind the curtains, therefore his influence will be still there all the time. If he wants to push a new DOGE hype he will have all the necessary tools to do it. And even if he didn't have Twitter, he could continue endorsing DOGE through his social medias, like he has always done since much before all the talk about purchasing Twitter has started.

What we see regards DOGE's price is more related to the whole bearish season every cryptocurrencies are facing right now. Once the negative trend in crypto market is over, we are going many currencies rising together, and I believe DOGE is one of them. Despite being a memecoin, it's also a classic coin. That is the difference between DOGE and its memecoins pairs which don't have any long term potential.

The price of a joke is already hyped. Why do you have to link Elon Musk with Doge?

Elon musk losing grip of Twitter is not the reason behind dogecoin recent fall in price. As you can see, the market is in a very terrible state and so many coins have been badly affected, so I think dogecoin is having its own fair share of the market situation.

dogecoin is still hanging good while Elon is still not CEO of twitter so what would be the reason for the fall if this back to normal mate as i don't see the logic at all? yes dogecoin might return to lower price but dying because of that seems to be irrelevant for now.
That was the fact, Dogecoin will keep its position as one of the top 10 coins in the market even without Elon Musk. Besides, Twitter has no market influence, some even consider this as not a reliable source of information. It definitely was not a factor that could bring Dogecoin out of our sight as I see it will keep striving despite the negative talks that we heard from others. Maybe we could think that its price will never grow but when it comes to sustainability, that seems possible.
I highly doubt that. There are a few that think like you but I find it highly emotional. There is no data or stat that sees doge as a good and legit project which could be in the top 10 for too long, it is a shitcoin that has been promoted a lot and liked by people for the hype and meme efforts but nothing more. I guarantee you that when the time comes doge will drop like no other and will not be remembered after a decade.

I understand the need for something that defy the logical arguments, there is a need and want for some anarchy in the markets that shows how unreal it works. Sort of like gamestop which should have been a bankrupted company because they suck, but people defied the markets with it and it survived. You think for long?

I'm not defending Dogecoin, and I don't care if it's a good, legit project. But at least it's stayed with us all these years. That alone has shown it to be a hundred times better than what people call potential altcoin projects like Luna or FTT, at least Doge doesn't scam us like other potential altcoins. No one knows what will happen in a decade, but it's at the top right now, and it deserves more shitcoins under the guise of potential altcoins.
Invest in altcoins, the main goal is profit, they are useless or scams if they are not profitable. Other than ETH, there are no altcoins that have utility or are used in life, they are all speculative.

...

We cannot tell whether a coin is dead or not by looking at its price. I don't think this is a correct analysis. Sure, Dogecoin is shit but it's a very old  memecoin and most importantly it is the ancestor of memecoins. So, it will always be in our lives. Its price will change according to the movement of the market. If Bitcoin manages to trade at a better level, Dogecoin will gain in value, if Bitcoin fails to trade at a better level, Dogecoin will also lose value. In general, it cannot create an image independent of the market...

Well I think this "Bear Market' has made many alt coins dead but dodge coin is not it. It is still number 8 on coinmarketcap and still the most popular meme coin with a marketcap of more then 9.8 billion dollars much more then any other meme coin.
And people enjoy a joke even if its in crypto so I think there will always be a demand for this coin. When the Bull Market starts up again I think there will be many people buying bags of dodgecoin because of its popularity.
Elon Musk is a fan and all his hype behind Dogecoin has remained in the minds of people who will buy when this market recovers. Just hodl those dodge and do not worry.

It is true that consistent bear market since beginning of 2022 has made many alt coins dead, and Doge coin is not alone in this row. Most of the alts have lost their value to the extent of 90% but it will not continue for ever. Doge coin still maintains its rank in Top 10 coins & continues capturing the head lines in media because Elon MusK still seems interested in this coin & he has the capacity to create use case of it.

I don't think it is dead,we are in a long crypto winter which for us started since December 2021 and we are now exactly 1 year from that time and nothing looks promising on the horizon so far. This though can be a good time to collect Dogecoin or any other crypto that you may be interested in and which of course you believe that it will perform well in the next bull run.

As that movie says I believe "The Crow" - "It can't rain forever" and also here in the crypto world it can't be winter forever,so the best thing to do is to stock up during this time.

I think it can still have some small pumps if the Man behind its rise again tweet about it otherwise the scene is clear that it does not have any growth chance and prices have sharply fallen so for me it's not good choice to hold the coin at this time seeing no further development and adoption for it so better stay away from it and save your loss.
Doge won't die even if Elon no longer wants to support it, but investing in it for profit is very risky. Because its hype depends only on Elon, and if he declares not to invest in it anymore, our investment will never be profitable. I don't invest in Doge because I don't want to put my risk on Elon, he is unpredictable, and we have much better options in the market. There is no reason to invest in memecoins when we have dozens of potential altcoins.

You are right, It is highly risky to invest in any meme coin because their hype totally depends on speculation &  generally their fundamentals are not strong enough to sustain in the market for long term.In particular those coins which solely depend on support of one person, like Doge & Shiba. We should always make through research before committing our funds in any investment.

We take note that Dogecoin is a meme coin and cannot be compared to utility tokens like Ethereum, etc. Just like most meme coins/tokens, the growth, IMO, largely depends on hype and influencers impact like Elon Musk twitting or making some reference about it. Now that there is not much being said about it, Dogecoin is somewhat hibernating - waiting for tweet or some reference to it. I suggest that holders of Dogecoin should keep holding, Elon Musk may have plans for it in the future. Elon's quitting as twitting CEO has nothing to do with his likeness to Dogecoin. He was not the CEO of twitter when he made the tweet that saw the value of Dogecoin surge up.

when twitter officially became Elon Musk's property it made Dogecoin go up a bit, it was very natural that Dogecoin would go back down because of problems with twitter or Elon Musk. I am not a fan of dogecoin, it would be better to invest long-term in utility coins such as ethereum, solana, bnb. Dogecoin is indeed good for the short term.
I don't know what's good about doge? Maybe just that it's a coin promoted by Elon Musk. Otherwise it is as useless as any other altcoin. I never understood why these memcoins have such a large capitalisation, even more than some real companies. I guess that will fix itself in time. By the way Twitter does not necessarily integrate doge. They could easily create another coin.
If you do not understand why Doge has such a large capitalization, even crossing Coinbase, you should not say it is useless. It is useless but valuable, better than the top coin is a scam, no value. Doge appeared before Elon entered the market, and it exists to this day, it was better than many other topcoin gradually disappeared in the market.

By the way, Elon loved Doge and although he was no longer the CEO of Twitter, he was still the owner of this social network. There is no reason to spend more money and time to create a new coin while Doge has both reputations and is available.

Is Dogecoin Dead ?

The fact that this meme coin has no utilities and are purely based on hype and speculations, I might say it's good as dead, coz anytime it could be literally dead. Who knows, Elon will have his full influence against this coin and when he decides to separate him self from the hype, people might bite into it and withdraw.
On the brighter side, Doge might continue to exist like how it exist long before Elon laid his hands to Dogecoins.
