Although times are hard for Ethereum at the moment because of its current market movement yet I wouldn't say Ethereum is dead or old. The limited activities of ICOs on the market has caused great slack in Ethereum yet as more projects join the crypto space and utilize Ethereum Blockchain,
Nothing has change with Ethereum, it's still the same coin that we love before, you are right that it was really affected by the lack of demand in ICO now, but if there's some improvement in the future, still project developers will still choose Ethereum over the other platform, and when that time comes, we will surely see the market will benefited, and not only Ethereum.

Ethereum will recover.
Certainly.

In July, Buterin had proposed using the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain as a temporary scalability solution for the Ethereum network.
I don't know if this one push through and Ethereum needs to do something on their scalability or a new token will come that can challenge Ethereum and it could be Eos ot Tron
So why he don't make new one and why using BCH for his solution network?
He isn't focused on his ethereum and following another chain for resolving his problem, this aren't good for project solution like ethereum even has big cryptocurrency.

Ethereum had a large prominence within the crypto space since launch, due to its flexibility for developing decentralized applications and launching ICO tokens. During 2017, Ethereum gained a lot of traction where it had massive transaction activity within its Blockchain network. This was largely attributed towards the rise of ICO's popularity, as well as, Blockchain-based games like CryptoKitties. While those times where exciting, everything came to an end as soon as transaction speeds became lower and fees spiked due to high network load.

After that, the ICO craze was no more, and people stopped using Ethereum more thoroughly. With the rise of other smart contract platforms with better speeds and lower fees than Ethereum, most developers and businesses have shifted towards well-known competitors of ETH. Now, many people are waiting for the PoS consensus upgrade to take effect, but developers continue to delay the same. After so many delays, it seems to me that Ethereum is starting to get old. The hype is over, and people are not so excited about ETH as they used to be within its early days.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Huh

It's sad to realize it but Ethereum definitely got old. It's one of the largest blockchain and the development is too slow compared to the competitive smart platforms.
Ethereum is a loose foundation and without any visible leadership while most of the other similar platforms are working as a team. Ethereum definitely had a large head start but now some other platforms are catching up.

Although the ethereum network is very slow, but many users still prefer the platform because of ease of doing job. I await the switch from POW to POS which certainly has been over delayed by the network consensus programmers. It pains me trading on folkdelta that my orders are not easily shown when executed or when I place orders.

Bitcoin is older than ethereum, the transaction is slow and the fee is so high, do you think people stop using bitcoin?? No, because the community is huge. And see new project, some bring unique technology, unique concept but become dead, why?? Because don't have community

So old doesn't mean people stop using Ethereum. Because the number 1 about crypto is community
You are absolutely right. The key here is not how long, but how popular and how much network is formed in trust in a coin.
Everything has a period, right? Likewise with the popularity and tastes of people, like the season that passed. News and rumours are very influential in the development of cryptocurrency prices. Everything is just waiting for time to bounce back again.

I've thought about it many times. But ether still remains in demand. Yes, it has a lot of competitors, but people still continue to use it. Perhaps now is just a difficult time for the market, but soon the price of altcoins, including ETH, will rise.

Ethereum is still Altcoin that works well on its platform and projects running on ETH are still developing steadily, the team still contributes to the development of ETH, there is nothing to fear because of aging. A platform that has been stable for a long time.

Agree, ethereum is still widely used by many platforms and I think ethereum can still last for a long time. The developer team still looks compact and continues to patch up flaws and I think ethereum is still a favorite investment after bitcoin
That’s right, even the new IEO they are still under the technology of ETH. Its normal to get old, but ETH is getting better like bitcoin. We can have a peace of mind with ETH because the future is still in favor to ETH. This is a platform that will continue to grow and help many altcoins to do their own business under its beautiful and strong blockchain.

If he doesn't do anything about it at the right time, a lot of developers will leave ethereum block chain and move to others. It is good we still have good projects on ethereum for now and some are still proposing to come on it, but if you ask other developers that are using other blockchians, they will tell you the one they are on is better than ETH.
This is a call to Buterin to fund the very possible solution to the scalability problem.
Mr. Buterin must do something in order to make ETH still on the race and people might not thinking that he don't care for his investors...This is one reason why some investors flew away and leave ETH as they feel that isn't secured to put funds in this coin. They'll probably be looking for new and most promising coin in crypto, if they could see it...eth will fall badly.

This is the right definition of what's happening on Ethereum, it's scalability, this is something interesting

He's since changed his mind it seems and has decided he'd rather piggy back on the Bitcoin blockchain, no mention of BCH at all recently.

Currently the foundation of ETH is considered a bit older. ICO projects are no longer much, but I still believe the Ethereum team, they will create a new platform with better smart contracts, correct many mistakes ...
In 2020, Ethereum will create a new trend that Binance did this year (IEO Launchpad). I still have positive belief in ETH.
