In my opinion, ethereum is not yet dead, indeed now that ethereum has very many rivals / competitors, the most visible thing is its competition with the Binance smart contract or what we are better known as BSC, of course BSC is the main rival of ethereum because of its advantages in terms of very Cheap gas fee. But on the other hand, ethereum has been around for a long time before the BSC, therefore there are many projects / altcoins that have integrated with Ethereum, this is what makes ethereum very strong.
Absolutely right Ethereum is not going to die yet, especially not until the next big update next year. BSC just decreases the transaction cost that's it, where Ethereum blockchain has a strong community. Even when I was using a "Trust wallet", I wasn't surprised about the transaction and process. If only ETH can minimize this high transaction cost, Binance smart chain could lose this strong support for the users.

the likelihood of ethereum dying is more unlikely than a market crash. Even if their platform is less desirable and many have switched over, Eth is here to stay. it is very difficult to make a coin with a large market cap disappear in the market. So this is impossible even in the future.

Ethereum has been on her glory until lately when the network became congested and transaction fees spiked high. I've been hearing about the ethereum 2.0 and I learnt that the first phase began around the ending of last year, but I'm yet to see any substantial developments so far. I know ethereum is still present and her demise is not in the near future.

$5,000 - $10,000.
We all hope that Ethereum will cross $5000. Ethereum has that potentiality. According to the ratio of Bitcoin and ethereum that was pumped during the bullrun of 2017, now ethereum is not pumped according to that ratio. Now ethereum is pumping slowly but the hope is that it is pumping continuously.

When bitcoin had a price of about $ 64,000 prior to the last drop, ethereum climbed slightly above $ 2,500. It now has a price tag of about $ 55,000 and ethereum $ 2,637. This coin is still more alive than all living cryptocurrencies. Hopefully, with a successful update, the ethereum price will be above $ 5,000 this year.
$5,000 - $10,000.
Those are the prices that I've seen that others are hopeful with the price of Ethereum which is likely and longer questionable unlike before. For the past 3 years, Ethereum has able to reach its all time high for this year and it's hard to think of it that it was able to reach this high but it's real.

In my opinion not. I never hesitate to invest with ETH. ETH itself is very fundamentalist and for now, has the second greatest potential for development after BTC. Regarding congestion and exchange fees which are still high over time, there will be solutions and adjustments by ETH developers.

... so this topic will become funny over time, LOL.

As I was trying to read and understand what I was reading, I found this little tiny sentence: "developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving". I guess OP has never heard of testnet. Grin

So, yes. This topic is already pretty funny.

Indeed at this time Etherem is losing some users due to the problem of high transaction fees, so people choose to switch to BSC which has a much lower fee fee, I think this is a big disadvantage for etherem, but you don't forget that ETH is a very powerful altcoin and  owned a very wide network in crypto, it is very unlikely that ETH will die, I am sure etherem will find a way out of this problem,
With all the complains about the high transaction fee and traffic congestions relating to ethereum users I believed eth developers knows what is at stake and the consequences of losing their teeming users to other network must have been working underground to restore all these abnormalities and put back or relaunch an improved version of ETH  which must have solved all those problems on a good note ethereum cannot die because it had investors who still believe in their project.

Transaction costs on ETH are on the rise and that's the biggest minus. Also, solidity is a programming language that hinders developers from building good things on ETH.
More on the side of having high transaction fees where there are many developers and investors who are now jumping to other chain.
Quote
The value on ETH is increasing because of the staking mechanism in phase one of the ETH 2.0 upgrade, ETH is included in the DEFI, and many miners are mining ETH. The scarcity of ETH is on the rise.
There are still investors who continue to scalp this coin and they are willing to take the risk of buying and holding this coin.

ETH cannot die even if its technology is worse than other blockchains.
Being number 2, it's far from reality. There are huge amount  of money that flows from this coin.

I guess Ethereum still have many years to spend in the market before it can die like other coin. Deposit the gas feel of Ethereum is too high many investors still choose to invest with Ethereum because of the stable and reliable pumping is developing since the beginning of this year 2021. Among altcoins i prefer to invest with Ethereum than BNB because no matter how high the feel of Eth high, you can still achieve something reasonable profit from your investment.

The price of eth has indeed fallen, even bitcoin has fallen again, but that doesn't mean that eth coin will be killed, that is stupid thinking. in 2018 eth prices were very cheap and now eth prices have increased dramatically compared to 2018, this proves that the longer eth coins are held the more benefits you can get.

What are you talking about ? Ethereum price is not falling, it is increasing and now has exceeded $2500
Holding Ethereum still can be profiting, the only issue on Ethereum is the high gas fee for transaction.

I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.

Ethereum can not go into extinction. Rather, other blockchains will take over it if nothing is done to curb the exorbitant Transaction/miners fee

I think that soon ETH will stop using. But buying it for a long time and forgetting it for several years is a good investment in any case.

Ethereum is a very big coin and to go die it needs to be a very big attack or fail at Ethereum. So many projects have built on Ethereum and devs are working at it some experts were saying a solution will be really found and if it's not found, all alt coins would die because no dev would have a solution.

The shift of some people to BSC is only to minimize the amount of fees they have to pay during the transaction, but on the other hand Ethereum is still very strong and promising in the market, so it is clear that only for this then Ethereum will never die.

This shift can also be called an outlet or an alternative to the high fees on ETH transactions, believe me ETH will not die that easily, the value of ETH remains stable even though the cost problem has not been resolved.

I don't understand the reason why people are always asking questions like is ethereum going to die like it is so ridiculous because I ethereum is still the second most high rated cryptocurrency on the coin market cap and it provides a lot of value because it is still the basic infrastructure that is used to develop a lot of projects in Blockchain today ethereum is not going to die not today and not anytime soon
Maybe because his mind has run out so he can't think normally anymore, that's why asking a question that looks very ridiculous even though it's worth asking, because there are still so many shitcoins that will die without being questioned by everyone.

lol i guess you are right. or he has sold all eth assets he owned when the price dumped and now he is frustrated and then tells the public about it. I think the top 10 coins or tokens that are on CoinMarketCap are still far from dying. especially BTC and ethereum

These things happen when a blockchain gets popular. Bitcoin also has higher fees than unpopular blockchains with comparable features. Still the unpopular blockchains didn't take its place.

The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.

Also these things happen with blockchains. Who wants a cryptocurrency which is "down for maintenance" every time someone wants to improve the codebase?

I wonder when people would stop starting weird topics like this... because I personally think anyone that thinks Ethereum is going to die then their is possibility of bitcoin dying which i dont see happening ... we all know ethereum network has some congestion and that makes network fees outrageous sometimes buh with the release of the ethereum 2.0 coming soon then we should actually enjoy so comfort
