In altcoins, eth is my favorite crypto always. Just finger crossed probably the price will be high if the market will hype. As we can see bitcoin is already increasing this year starting we hope may be eth will reach up to the mark.

I highly doubt this is going to happen as all the successful projects who started with the Ethereum token moved to their own main chain and there are only a few shitty projects left, so the idea of the entire market changing is bullshit, the only change i see is the shady USDT move to ETH blockchain and i have no idea how long they will last with all the legal troubles they had in the past regarding audits. 
what do you mean by 2020?
if in 2020 I am not sure ETH will return to its highest price, because bullish is still at an early stage, if in 2021 maybe I can believe it. but for 2020 that is very unlikely to happen.

Do you see that ETH can not move independently for two years now? it only grows when bitcoin grows. I am sure that in 2020 it will be the same and therefore in order for ETH to grow to its previous ATH - Bitcoin should also cost 20 thousand dollars, but I think that we will not see this in 2020
For now it is not fully recovered ethereum and we expect a price change will happen in this year and Ethereum will quickly move if there is a new change, because currently we can see the ICO project is dead and this is very bad impact for Ethereum, in the year 2017 we can see the development of the ICO project which causes the price of Ethereum to surge high, and nowadays the market is very we are waiting for
This year ? Uhm I doubt it but in 2021 we can see ATH everywhere on the markets not just in Ethereum , excluding coins who are already dead as those will not make it into the pump. For this year, I think ethereum will follow Bitcoin trend and if somehow Bitcoin pulls something magical at the halv , Ethereum will follow at some time after.
I agree with this, Bitcoin is the reason for pumping in most of altcoinif Bitcoin can be pump in this year, altcoin is possibly to follow Bitcoin
Bitcoin has history that it will be pump after halving, that's what happened in the 2 last halving

so, we are better to know what would happen if Bitcoin fails to pump after halving, it will happen too in altcoin moves.

That is not the reason that can help ETH increase this year. There are many active projects in the ETH chain over the past 2 years, but the price of ETH has not gone up because investors have no need to use ETH. If the market is going to grow continuously, the ethereum price will probably gonna go up also since the value of the ethereum is dependent on the price of the bitcoin. When the bitcoin goes up, the value of the ethereum will go up also. The prediction on the bitcoin price after the halving will be 100k USD. So maybe, the ethereum will set its new highest price again.Exactly, ETH price is completely based on the price of Bitcoin, at the beginning of this year we have already seen the price of ETH increased to some extent, but whether it will manage to continue till the end of the year we don't know but surely the price of ETH will increase in this year.
I am sure that not only ethereum will reach the new ATH this year. Some altcoins will reach the new ATH this year. This has nothing to do with the number of ETH platforms used by other projects. Basically, crypto prices will rise this year.
Any reason or explanation on how you can back up this bold statement of yours? New ATH means it could go more than $1500 this year? That's a spirit but I dont think it can easily jump in to that amount with just a year, and noting that a new ATH for it is still debatable. I am eth holder but if you would noticed the market, it cant break out on the 200 level cause of bearish season but I'm also hopeful it could recover.
Your wrong not all crypto could have their new ATH, new projects will die even the market turn green cause investor will focus on major coins alone.
ETH has always been a leading altcoin in this market, and it has always been the focus of attention for years. Regarding the price of ETH this year, I think it is difficult for ETH to go up. If BTC is pumped and surpasses ATH then I think ETH's price could go up to $ 500, and if BTC stays still as it is, I don't see any positive trends for ETH. I am still investing in ETH but honestly, in order for ETH to reach ATH in 2017, we need to wait at least 3-4 years.
Smart contracts will be huge in future, there can be little doubt of this, they offer so many efficiency advantages that they are bound to be used. And ETH is well-positioned to remain the leading smart contract platform. So regardless of current price, I am confident that ETH will be a big success in years to come. They have great devs and a solid roadmap. ETH is a good bet.

As Vitalik said, we might really not see it anymore. $1000 per ETH. So they sold a lot of it making a huge dump.

I think Etereum will remain the main platform for dApps. It is still the preferred choice for developers. It will surely remain in Number 2 spot on CMC for a very long time

I always prefer ETH in alts but the saddest part is the price is not improving from the past two years that's the thing which worries me more, it even surprised many of them by surpassing BTC before two years and most of the investors have poured their money only because they can earn huge return right now it is slowly improving and let's hope this year it will boom again.
We don't know how much the ethereum price will increase, and it still a big mystery for us. But ethereum needs to break $200 first because that price seems too hard to reach, especially bitcoin price is not increase so high and still stay less than $10k. Once bitcoin price can jump to the higher price and break $10k, that will impact to ethereum price and also the other coins, and that can help the crypto market to recover the price. Many people have a big hope for ethereum to increase, and they still buy and hold ethereum until now because they want to repeat history when they can make a lot of money from ethereum.
I can't be sure, but some people have predicted this year as a return. maybe not just on ETH, other altcoins that have the potential for major changes. crypto-world currently does not seem to need a new alt, in fact investors are currently more focused on building a portfolio of coin choosing in the market. the good news is that bitcoin halving is not too long away, everyone is sure there will be a big change, but I don't think it has a significant impact or it takes time. yeah, altseason? ETH, in my opinion, the coins will soar high.
