I think this is still quite safe, Ethereum is one of the alt that is quite good in my opinion compared to other altcoins, Ethereum is clearly better in terms of investment but if it relates to the election there is bitcoin there I suggest to be in bitcoin but if you really want to be in altcoins then indeed Ethereum is definitely not something wrong and you should be there if you want altcoins.
I do believe that it's one of the best out there right now. I know not many people believe this but it is definitely the best altcoin for me. It is obvious that many people think the same way as well because it is the second biggest coin ever, only after bitcoin itself and if people didn't think that it's the best coin then it wouldn't be able to go there at all.
This is why it should have been so important to have some on your portfolio and I can definitely say that I trust it to be safe. This is of course my understanding and if we are talking about being safe or not, you can't possibly know and maybe I could be wrong about it and it's not, but I do trust it.

Ethereum is one of the top coins not because it has a huge number of fans or even a big community. It's on top because of its potential. Most altcoins have issues that they're facing but despite every negative comments about Ethereum, it still remained as one of the most trusted coins next to Bitcoin.

Nobody knows if eth has a good future. It did fine so far but we can't know the future for sure. Litecoin used to be #2 coin too. Look where it is now. The very same thing very well may happen to eth in the future. It is less likely but not impossible. Another example is ripple. It used to be the #2 coin on coinmarketcap. People thought it is the next big thing. Then it was revealed that it wasn't more than a centralized scam.
ETH is popular now but who knows? Maybe some other coin will become more popular than eth.
Ethereum is a good altcoin but no one can guarantee it is fully safe. Because every crypto currency coins are risky. Yes Ethereum is in the 2nd position in the crypto world and is just behind Bitcoin. And its ecosystem is very good. As a coin it has a lot of potential but it cannot be guaranteed that something bad can not happen to it in the future. So you have to invest and hold in crypto with risk it is normal
We don't know the future, so no one can answer the first question. But a lot of people, just as I do, believe in it. It's not just a coin and a blockchain with tokens, Ethereum is a technology. A lot of web-sites now work using what Vitalik made. And it can be upgraded, right now we are using ETH 2.0.

If you talk about quality altcoins, then litecoin and ethereum comes into the picture for the older users like me. These coins have a good community backing them and they will likely not fade away. Same with Dogecoin but doge lack the use case that ethereum has, even though some celebs might promote it, you should be careful before investing in it.
Specifically Ethereum can be a good second line asset after bitcoin if you are willing to invest in it for the long term. But this is all a personal choice and we have ethereum haters on this forum too, so dont let anybody's opinion cloud you. I personally have invested in ethereum for the long term a while back and holding it, but I dont have plans to buy more.

Ethereum is by far the best altcoin out there which is the reason why it stands second on the marketcap index.
Ethereum has a good team of developers and a dedicated community. The project is really unique and has a good potential.
Unlike other altcoins, ETH has faced its ups and downs but is still on the top. Anyone can choose to invest in it if they want to invest in the best and safest altcoins.
It does have a good future and currently I don't see any drawback for it.
Ethereum has been on the top 1 for altcoins for many years and no. 2 overall in the whole crypto market next to bitcoin. With the changes of its algo coming from pow to pos, still, it's on the top.
I'm an holder of it and sold a bunch when it's on the peak and half of it and still holding a few of it waiting for the next bull run.

Ethereum has a good track record over a long time. Lots of coins/tokens are tied to it so I don’t see any risks at the moment. The only fear would be if Vitalik rugged the community by selling a large % of his holdings. Ethereum is his baby so the possibility of that is very low in my opinion.
Ethereum actually did a higher ROI % than bitcoin in the last bull run so I think there is a very high ceiling for it in future years. In my opinion Ethereum is a good investment.

ETH is still a good coin to deal with, the future is still bright and there's nothing wrong if you choose ETH as one of your investment you just need to know your target price and your cut loss price because in cryptomarket, everything goes up and down so better to be ready. Probably the drawback for ETH is the slower network and one of the expensive network until now. There have been many investors who have proven the benefits of investing in these Altcoins.

Even though i am also just a normal dude with no inside knowledge about cryptocurrency in general and also not about Ethereum, i will try to answer your questions. I think Ethereum definitely has a good future, next to bitcoin it is by far the most popular and also the biggest crypto project out there and if Ethereum should really fail, then 99% of the other altcoins will probably die way before that.
ETH is the number 1 altcoin because they invented the whole smart contract functionality. Without that feature we would not have stuff like tokens, NFT's, Defi, Dexes, Yiel farms and other stuff today. All those other platforms like (Solana, Cardano) are basically just copying what Ethereum has invented.
I say ethereum is the queen of the king of bitcoin and for the future ethereum doesn't need to be doubted anymore after you can research ethereum's track record long ago. ETH has always had great potential and future when buying at a bearish time and holding on until a bullish party arrives.
