You should rather avoid solana for now. Once solana was my top picked altcoin among others project as it was unlocked lots of possibilities by supporting smart contracts as well as decentralized apps, which could make it succesful. But after the hardly fall of solana, it makes its investors disappointed. It has less possibility to reborn, so not good choice for long timeframe but you can hold some portion of it, if interested

thats true seeing current circumstance of solana just doesn't seem like its gonna be rising anytime soon.
moreover it has rather been stagnant for quite some time.
the fact that some API providers are closing their service just means maybe the development in the solana blockchain isn't that great.
moreover I think it will be kept overshadowed by newer blockchain emerging though the fact that its market capitalisation still great stands still.

Solana had the opportunity to take the crypto world by storm. But it blew it with the constant network outages. On top of that, FTX's collapse added more pressure against SOL's market price. I doubt it will ever rise back to $200, unless developers get their act together. They need to solve Solana's network issues so that investors could gain confidence on the project once more.
With many competitors striving to beat down Ethereum, Solana will have a hard time catching up to its rivals. At least, the project is open source. The community might decide to fork off the original chain to make an improved version of their own. I'd love to see a stable Solana-based blockchain that would render ETH obsolete. Who knows if our dreams come true someday? Just my thoughts
The market volatility of Solana coin is very high compared to other coins. I don't consider this coin safe to invest as there is a chance of losing money anytime due to excessive volatility. I have done some future trading with this coin but no time I got success in future trading with this coin. One thing I noticed while trading this coin is that when the price of Bitcoin goes down, the value of this coin goes down a lot compared to Bitcoin, but when the price of Bitcoin goes up again, Solana Coin doesn't go up in value. Observing these things, I have refrained from trading now.

You can carry out your personal research before investing in Solana, so that you will have that confidence of holding your Solana long before you can sell to make a passive income because the price of Solana is too low in the market which it will take a long years before the price will reach $1000 which is the target of many holders right now. Since you said you will hold long, I will advise you to invest half of your money on Solana and invest the remaining money on Ethereum, so that you will know that you have something good to achieve from the two altcoins in the future. I will still invest on Solana because the price will definitely increase higher before the end of next year 2024 to allow their investors to make a good profits and be happy.

It better to move on from solana to others project. It can be considered as underrated project. Solana lovers may argue but i Don't think solana have enough fuel to start another Journey. Besides now lots of altcoins with new concept available. Meta, web3 and others category tokens are trading. So why Should invest this old one when you have better options available? Consider about itoverall i just don't consider solana as something thats worth investing anymore, besides there are more and more new coin emerging, remember that every changing of bullish cycle in bitcoin always bring changes towards these coins ranks in general moving around and being replaced by the new emerging coins. sticking to some coin that already lost its potential might be damaging your investment in general.
So far i am buying solana for swing trading only which is for short term only, I don't think solana can be survive as his performence like now, many newcomer has been development utility their coin same as solana ecosystem. Especially this coin ha been targeted by SEC lawsuit, so don't think about it for hold this for too long, we never know what will happen to this coin in the future, at least safe your money in the safe investment

all altcoin that are in the top 100 on coinmarketcap including SOLANA are the right choice to invest at this time, because the market is correcting, so the price has fallen very far from the ATH price and this is your opportunity to invest in SOLANA at a low price (discount) and hold until the price increases again (market recovered), then I'm sure you will definitely get a big profit from investing in SOLANA at this time.

Base on the current situation of the cryptocurrency market is on a good position to buy Solana Coin at a very cheap price and it has a future potential and is a Blockchain token and buy to hold for a long time is not a bad idea.

Seems like SRM is pumping out of nowhere so yeah probably something is coming for SOL but dont forget that there is like 10% of that solana held by FTX until maybe the solana foundation vote on freezing those assets which they cant probably they might be dumped on innocent people head so I will say be wary and maybe just get in and out Make a strategy on how you want to trade it

solona network having some issue so they damage totally and no one was thinking that a coin with high demand and big ecosystem will suddenly fall to lower and lower. I think investing in solona is not safe now and we have to pick another coin. Aptos network is going strong. i will advise to research on Aptos ecosystem and then invest according to your fund. At now status solona is better .
