It maintained a good spot which is also an indication that it still has a chance of achieving more in the coming market seasons though it has been facing controversies these past few months and FUD regarding it has been all over the crypto platforms. I agree that we still must do research before investing in it so we'll have an assurance of our investment choice.
We have to review the potential of the Solana coin after the last few months the Solana coin has not increased, so even though it is a top altcoin it is not always the main option for investment choices because the top altcoin position can change depending on investment interest and trading volume, so don't rush to choose Solana coins and must analyze the market potential so that you do not experience losses rather than market corrections.

Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.
Since the collapse of FTX, investor interest in Solana Coin has decrease drastically. However, Solana has been able to improve somewhat in recent times. But If one wants to invest in altcoins in the hope of higher profits, one must consider its positive and negative aspects. There is no better investment in crypto currency except bitcoin. Even if a major decline occurs, it can become bullish again. But such an image is not easily seen in altcoins. Also, it's very hard to get new ATH after getting one (ATH) in an altcoin. While investing in altcoins have high possibility of making profit during a bullish movement but when Bitcoin get down and stay on long bearish, altcoin investors will loss a large amount of assets at that moment which is some times impossible to regain. As like the BNB most of the crypto traders had their holding in the Solana,because it was expected to reach the value of 100 dollars in short period of time.Still the price of the Solana was in the good pump of 23 dollars.It was expected to rise to the 50 dollars in the end of the June.So that the price of Solana will reach the 100 dollars at the end of the year.Since the demand of Solana was high due to the transaction fee of some new coin based on the Solana network.The USDT also had the withdraw through the Solana in the binance itself.So their was good demand for the Solana in the binance itself.
Not so fast. I highly doubt Solana will reach $100 this year. The FUD around Alameda and SBF hasn't died down yet, the coin's recovery may take some time, if it ever happens of course. I'm not surprised where such bold predictions come from, the market is bullish right now, price recovery after a long crypto winter, many have a false sense that growth will continue, but the market often prepares traps for such investors.
Currently it was traded at nearly $24 and thinking for $100, yes, that is way too far from reality.

Do whatever you want to do in this case because it comes back to the foundations, as long as you believe in Solana then do that. But on the other hand, with current conditions there are still better projects compared to Solana and indeed the current conditions at Solana are clearly a bit risky for other altcoins.
There are still conditions where we can still consider several more feasible projects. Solana may be good for some circles, but with current conditions, in my opinion, it's quite not worth the risk.
But like I said from the start. it's your decision, as long as you believe in your way and Solana then do it.

Solana in the last bull run perfomaces and return is still in the eyes of many investors that is why they are asking and want to buy again to see if it is possible for the price to make such kind of rerun again but I don't think there is any influence that is available right now that will make solana do that kind of thing again. According to what I learn, FTX was trying to make solana the number 1 coin using customers money from FTX to pumped it and now that there are no such kind of money available for use, it will be impossible mission for solana to move up again, if they move, may be $100 is achieveable if the bull run return again.

Solana project could be trending again if new news is released but after the arbitrum hype is over, because all the analysis traders are reviewing the development of the arbitrum project and ARB had reached a price of $13 before their token was released, so many traders and investors expected a high price to be reached soon and ignored old project before taking high profit from arbitrum project. 
There are currently many other projects that are better than Solana. You can try investing in projects like CFX or CRO. But of course this depends on how your decision. Solana is a great project but at the moment I see they are not doing any developments or innovations that would make me think about investing in it.
From what I've seen, Solana is getting quite a bit of attention and traction in the crypto world. It has fast transaction speed and lower fees compared to some other cryptocurrencies. However, nowadays I rarely see projects that use the SOL chain.

Some People still have expectations surrounding solana but don't think it will be worth investing for long term. Once Ether's hard competitor solana, now struggling hard to rebuild their existence after 90% down from its ath, a years ago. From then, it didn’t show any impressive development that could make investors attracted. Although solana still have time to go themselves ahead but Don't think it could overcome. Rather you Should go with some others crypto.
If we talk about buying for long-term investment, that is difficult to foresee the future of Solana but if we are just accumulating this for the preparation of the upcoming bull season, that seems a good idea. However, putting huge money into this project is not really worth it. Well, that's for me, because I don't just look at the current situation but I consider its performance in the past and seems not performing well which is possible that it will be behaving that way again. But of course, investing in this project is not a bad idea, perhaps, it was still working which is enough to think that it never dies too easily.

what i know is that soluna is the fastest reborn when a correction occurs, but for now i don't follow it anymore but basically Solana is a fast growing blockchain project that offers fast and cheap transactions making it attractive to investors. The choice is yours to ultimately invest in Solana in alignment with your financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment strategy so that you can take profits in the future.
considering it has fallen really far from its all time high, now only fraction of its former value left, many might consider it best investment but will thing be the same after appearance of L2 that quite entirely taking up all shares of investment, I think many would prefer just invest in these l2 instead, arb is one good example, even optimism and upcoming sui.
