Lots of users here are still cautious about Solana because FTX are involved with it and they are planning to restart their crypto exchange again. Where do you think they will get the money? People suspects from their Solana investment but it was still up to you if you will invest on it because it was your money not ours.

it's most certainly always good to invest in solana but the thing is, there is many new altcoins that could give you good profit better than solana like arbitrum.
but it doesn't mean solana is bad for investment, it's still good it's just that there are some coins out there that have better potential.
I'm not usually into newer altcoins but I can sometimes make an exception if I feel that the old coin is starting to deteriorate plus there are new coins which are seem solid. One of it could be Arbitrum. Maybe the OP wants to consider this instead of Solana? Or he can invest most of its money on it and leave something for Solana.

Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.

Thanks for your responses.
Analyze it, is there a future plan for development? Is there a great demand right now? Analyze as well its competitor and decide where to invest.
Buying this for a long time can’t guarantee any return, try at least to have some and buy some good coins as well aside from SOL, if for long term ETH are more ok for me.
Probably only bitcoin and ETH might be suitable in the long term, because the other coins do not stand up to the competition and cannot maintain a position on the coinmarketcap list for long. Therefore one cannot rely on altcoins for the long term. I think sol can be bought to sell for example in a year after halving. But it could be that this cycle will be the last for sol.

Investing in Solana (SOL) or any other cryptocurrency is a risky investment decision and depends on various factors. However, SOL is one of the most prominent cryptocurrencies on the market today, which can bring profits to investors. Solana's positives include its fast network, low transaction fees, and high scalability. It has attracted the attention of many investors and large institutions. In addition, Solana has also combined many DeFi projects such as Serum, Raydium,... to create an impressive development ecosystem.
But it also has to be acknowledged that it also has a lot of problems when it comes to constantly shutting down, and I also feel skeptical about the problems between them and FTX. However, I would also like to reiterate that the cryptocurrency market is very volatile and requires a thorough evaluation before investing in any asset class, including Solana. If you want to invest in SOL, learn about Solana's project and development strategy and invest only a fraction of the money you have available.

I read and found some analysts, Solana price could potentially go anywhere in 2023. But, I don't believe, it could be yes or no. Because, for me, SOLANA is currently lacking progress.

It is important to remember that cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and difficult to predict with certainty.

Now, I also noticed that very few crypto projects use SOLANA. Nonetheless, if you believe in Solana's technology and growth potential going forward, it may be worth considering as part of a diversified investment portfolio.

Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.
To be honest, Solana is just one of my favorite coins, especially because the network and platform are running very well, providing various conveniences and cheap fees. so for me, it's not that much of a problem to invest in Solana. But continue to use good financial management so that unwanted things don't happen.

Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.
Solana is still by far the scalable chain out there and the issue around it was just dragged by the FTX bankruptcy. I'm hesitant though on Solana projects considering even Solana itself hasn't recovered yet from its ATH. This isn't a financial advice but you can invest in Solana coins, just manage your risks.

I had high hopes for Solana before and even thought of buying and holding it for long-term investment but because of the issues and controversies that it has been facing, I doubted accumulating it. I find it a lot risky to invest in Solana compared to well-established coins so if your goal is for long-term investment, just choose coins with higher potential preferably Bitcoin, Eth, or BNB. There are still lots of reputable coins that you can choose from but always do research especially if you are doubting.
Not bad considering there are a lot of options out there in the market and new chains are getting some traction. The ultimate goal is to accumulate more Bitcoin and Ethereum but having some altcoins as stepping stone isn't that bad considering you could potentially gain some high results once altcoin season begans.

If you have doubts about Solana, then I advise you not to buy it. You should look for other reputable coins instead. I agree that Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Binance Coin are good options. These coins have been accepted by the market and are well positioned in the crypto community. However, you should also learn more about the characteristics of each coin and their ability to assess their potential and risk before making a final decision.

Solana has experienced an impressive 80% price increase thus far in 2023. However, it may face competition from other coins that offer strong ideas and promising ROI in the coming months. Projects such as LHINU, FGHT, CCHG, MET, and TARO could be lucrative investment options in 2023. I am not promoting any particular investment, but it may be worthwhile to consider these alternatives.

Investing in any cryptocurrency carries risks, and Solana is no exception. It's important to do your research and consider factors like the project's technology, community, and adoption before making an investment decision.

Yss absolutely good target for long trem invest.
But i really wont promise you of SOL will give him big rewards for your invest. But project very strong and there develop managed not to be lezy. Absolutely it is your own choice and profits will depends your buy and sell goal. Anyway i wouldn’t recommend you for buy SOL right now so research your own risk.

Solana is highly volatile coin, last year i invested 1k$ worth of SOL for the long term but within 15-20days it's decreasing almost 50% then i can't wait to keep hold it for long time. It’s undoubtedly strong fundamental project but i would not like to recommend to invest in the long term. But you should DYOR before invest anywhere.

That is because of the situation we have now, since last year, the market is bearish red and no signs when will it come up again. 2022 wasn't really a good year for investors but in the good side, it's still a good thing for us especially for the beginners because it is not yet too late to buy leading altcoins and bitcoin. The thing about SOL, it's still one of the few top performing altcoins for me but I wouldn't advice anyone to invest on it either unless it's their own decision as they did their own research.

I think that Solana should not be invested in, since this is not a worthwhile project, and even not stable, you can lose big, and if you buy, then sell it very quickly, you should not keep Solana, because the price is not stable today and in the future, I think it will also not be stable

Thanks for your responses.

How long? If, for example, for 2-3 years, it is quite an applicable strategy for such an asset, but if for 5-7 years, it is a very bad idea. Many altcoins, especially after some shocks, very often grow in a very limited range and no longer update their ATH, such altcoins need to be able to fix profits in time and not to overextend. There is some possibility that SOL will never reach its ATH again, like EOS for example. So better do your research and decide the time frame of the hold, because solana is not bitcoin and a long hold may not bring the same effect as bitcoin. Keep this in mind.

Advice is not something I am comfortable doing, it's easy to say not buy something, like I highly advise not to buy doge for example and at the worst case you won't earn money, but not buying will not make you lose money anyway.

However to say that you should buy something is a bit different, it just means that you should not be really looking for that, and it would end up being something a lot worse for you if you buy it and it goes down, so saying you should buy could have bad results. But for this project, SOL looks like something you could avoid and it could be fine, I am not saying it won't go up, but it has nothing special about it that can bring you more money than anything else above it, so it should be alright to avoid it.

For me, my first choice is always bitcoin, but it's okay to also buy some altcoins besides bitcoin with part of the capital.

For me Solana is a good option, a strong coin with a good future and I expect it to have a huge price rally with the next bull. But standing advice is DYOR.
