No,definitely no.

I have to be honest, i was not very optimistic about the situation and was not evening looking at the prices . Right now I am starting to look for possible entry points, I was thinking that 3k could be the bottom, but in short term it looks now that 3,4k is the bottom, i remain patient to get in the right place.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Someone recently argued that the accumulation of Tether is actually a good sign, (even though Tether is not to be trusted). The fact that so many people tether instead of cashing out to Fiat, means a large number of "investors" has not lost hope and given up altogether but rather decided to stand by the sidelines, waiting for the right moment to jump back in. The last weeks have been particularly uncertain. Once there's a clear trend recognizable (hopefully upwards), all those Tether boys will buy back in.

It will be under $3,000 within a week. The market is still full of hot air with people hoping for a rebound/get rich quick.

This thing will go below $2000 in the next few months and I think it will be falling for years. Everyone knows about it (taxi drivers, school kids, hairdressers).. Expect this to get to $200 longer term.

No it isn't like Microsoft, it is closer to Dr Koop, the usage case is very limited and the price needs to come down a lot for it to make sense. McAffee will eat his dick.

I hope that Bitcoin doesn't keep going down the drain in terms of USD price. It would be disastrous for many investors, and it would scare many people away from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But, if Bitcoin becomes extremely cheap, then we have the option to buy more coins to save them up for the future. I believe that it's best to distance ourselves from Bitcoin's pricing, and instead focus on its usability.

That way, Bitcoin would grow in mainstream adoption and popularity, effectively bringing massive demand over the long term. The only way I see that Bitcoin's price would rise, would be the successful implementation of a stable version of the Lightning Network for the masses, and the launch of Bakkt.

Only then, prices might start to rise due to hype and FOMO among people in the mainstream world. Other than that, it would take a long time for Bitcoin to see any upsurge in value anytime soon. In the meantime, I'd suggest to just keep "hodling". Cheesy

I believe the fall of bitcoin is not the end of it, the price fall is with a purpose which is for the rising to be better enough and sustained. Nothing good comes easy.
Those who could not endure the period have opted out, out of impatience, and those who understand this game knows it is about patience. We will get there. The moment is very much around.  2019 has better to offer.
i think like that too,
who have patience they will party and those who panic will regret it. it is indeed very difficult to believe at this time because the market tends to go down and lower again over time. but i am still sure if the market will recover later, and get ATH.
yes, I also agree, but those who use this situation might get better. in addition, the decline in prices is enough to make many people sell their assets. well, but I'm still holding back some waiting for the right price.

Very well said. Bitcoin has great things ahead to achieve, how then can we anticipate its end now? Paying attention to the history of Bitcoin will reveal how Bitcoin has survived several bear markets in the past and made an all time hit of $20K last year December. I strongly believe that 2019 will favor Bitcoin and the entire crypto market.

Be Good to me!
December 07, 2018, 08:13:07 PM
Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

Its not over for bitcoin because its just a beginning to show that bitcoin is worth for.lf bitcoin hit $22000 in 2017 it will be soon bull run to $100000.This will be soon to bitcoin to be powerful to the whole world.

Maybe we can say right now is the end or game over for bitcoin and altcoin, how come bitcoin at last end year could be on $15,000 and now have drop lower than $4,000. You can left or stop investing your money at bitcoin and wait until bitcoin price is higher.
maybe more precisely the end of your investment is not the end of Bitcoin because in my opinion Bitcoin is still alive it's like limping. I'm sure if bitcoin will find a way to grow again as it used to. if you wait for Bitcoin to increase and you have just started investing, you will never experience the satisfaction that can only be obtained if you survive or buy bitcoin now.

I agree with your opinion, Bitcoin is still there even though the value of it is decreasing, Some of the holders were thinking that this will be the end of the coin but I think it is more likely doing what it needs to be done like the past years where it is starting its journey to the top.

I still think the game has just begun. One should not associate the price of bitcoin with its success. The main thing is that the currency itself continues its active development, constantly improving. And this is the most important thing for him. And while it will develop the price will fluctuate, it is normal at this stage of development.

Now it is too early to talk about any end of bitcoin, because it still continues to develop and it seems to me that it is only at the beginning of its long and difficult path of implementation as a currency. I think that everything will be fine and the price will be prohibitively high in a few years.

Game over ? The game literally has barely just started, just wait and see how events will unfold. Bitcoin might be undergoing a hard time with all the news over cryptocommunity but Bitcoin had passed through tougher phase and will eventually surpass this as well regardless of the manipulation of the bigger dictators in play.

I think Bitcoin was way over priced and if it goes down to say $1  it just might bring in more people to use it as a currency like it was intended to be used for, instead of a get rich quick scheme. Only time will tell and like any new trend it can fall of a cliff edge and never regain it popularity again.

still I believe  that bitcoin gives me a lots of chance to settle my future. bitcoin is my part  time job so I think this hard time will be over. many fud damage the price in this year but next year can be different. I hope in 2019 become a more stronger.

Don't take too fast a decision with current prices because new prices will re-emerge next year. This is a new start from good prices to invest.

I think that bitcoin is just beginning its real development. 10 years for him it is not so much, and the most interesting awaits us ahead. And such a big drop in price is just a temporary mess.

If you consider all the previous crashes that the price of BTC had, this is not as dramatic as it is being presented by many. It could possibly drop by 2k, but it will rise again. Considering that today is the 7th of December, I don't think that we can expect some kind of miracle by the end of the year. It is possible that the whole January will continue in the same manner. But the spring will bring the needed stability and continuity in price growth. Honestly, I believe that people got greedy once the price reached 20k and they expected that we will all be millionaires by now. Guys, I hate to say it, but you missed the point of BTC. I understand that all of us want money, but I feel better knowing that there are a lot of us cherishing the moment that we are in, this is a marathon.

It's a hard time for Bitcoin users and the market is all red but the game is far from over. It's just an episode that we probably all new it will happen again. Volatility and risk is something you can't avoid if you are involved in Bitcoin.
It's also true that only the bravest and the most patient will "survive" but this will not last for long, the market will recover.
But not every bad period for Bitcoin is the end of it. On that way it must have died so many times before but it didn't, you have to admit that.
