Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

I don't find these approaches right. There are people on the market who really want to put everything in their hands. In addition, new investors follow such social sharing areas. Therefore, instead of negativity, we should say positive things about the future.

Bitcoin isn't the one that should be blamed for people's greed, because the price in no shape or form reflects the utility of Bitcoin, just people's greed.

It actually surprises me that you bring this up, because when I look at the date you registered your account, you (in case you are still the same account owner) very likely have seen the market tank below $200 back in early 2015. Back then people said it's game over as well, and here we are. It's just another cycle we are going through.

$20,000 versus the various correction scenarios.

80% = $4000
85% = $3000 (my guess based on technical ball analysis)
90% = $2000

We're getting there.

Each Bitcoin is currently worth some $3,600. Two years back, the price was about 1/4th of this amount. How many of the mega corporations have given 400% returns in a period of 24 months? I can remember only 2-3 of them.
oh well, it should be consider and study well, those who knew about how far bitcoin already achieved from the beginning still trusting and holding they've seen this moment as another opportunities to invest and wait again after they earned a lots of money when they've first seen the massive run last year,
it's not the end but a cycle of another massive run better to be well prepared.

Bitcoin is now very many people playing in it so that a lot of money is accumulated inside it to invest to take profits that multiply from the usual and that must wait for the right time.

in my opinion this bitcoin will not end as long as they have users or other users. And if compared, the more and more new users that we may not realize, because bitcoin will not drop the price suddenly.

You don't see that the price has fallen but why are you still saying that Bitcoin will not fall suddenly. This is the thing that has fallen now and will get worse in December.

I think it is not over for Bitcoin. In 2016 Bitcoin price is only 500$ to 600$. So i hope it is not over. i also think that Bitcoin price ill increase once again. And recover it's price.

In my opinion this is not a game over scenario for bitcoin but rather as many would call it, a correction phase. Bitcoin is going back to the most stable, equalizing price that it needs to survive and it is just really people panicking over the said scenario. Like I always say, just relax and if you can cover your losses then do our best. Good luck to all of us.

Try to look back at the history of bitcoin, how the state of bitcoin was in 2014 when the price of bitcoin $ 1200 dropped to $ 180 and it was almost game over, but in fact is it game over? even the state of bitcoin is now able to rise up like it once did, and I will not waste a rare situation now before it returns

Bitcoin is not over and will last in the long run, bitcoin is still the main one, and because of that bitcoin is more likely to grow, and now I still choose to hold and won't sell low.

I agree that it will not recover as quickly as it did before, but I would not expect it to exceed in 2019. They are talking that the reverse is expected any day and it probably will not rise as fast as before, but we will see a progress and improvement. This is not an easy instant money game, BTC will survive because it is implemented in the market already. Its usage will only grow and expand and we should look at it as something revolutionary and not simply an easy money.

No it is not Game over for bitcoin. based on price alone we cannot decide. Initial days when bitcoin introduced it was just 0.31 $ and then it grows to unexpected value i.e 20,000$ in the year 2017. Its about the adoption and usage of the coins across the globe. we have strong feature ahead for Bitcoin.

Yeah but that time could be quite far from now. Those who are aiming for another all time high next year should snap out of it because this bear market may very well continue for a couple of more months into 2019. Though this is by far not over at all for btc and crypto.

I remember people around the forum making threads on what will be the main reason on the decrease on bitcoins price and there you have it. But rather than viewing this dilemma with negativity, consider also on taking it as an opportunity to acquire some while the prices are at stale. For the people who have significant amounts of bitcoin on their wallet, avoid selling everything in an instant.
Bitcoin has always been on the positive side of the market. With its creation nearly 10 years ago, its price constantly fluctuates depending on current events affecting government regulations or strict financials. Now with its price decreasing, I do think that its price may regain its value in the long-run as long as it maximizes and uses the blockchain technology.

I hope its not because I am still enjoying cryptocurrency. I could not imagine how things will went through if the system will going to end. I had so many hopes with bitcoin in getting rich someday because of the potential profit that one could get especially in investing. For now, I am still buying little by little bitcoin when market price gets more dip.

not yet, it is early to say that, everyone who thinks its the ending is selling all his coins, and unfortunatly a lot of people do this, and its the main reason of this crash , everyone is selling which causes the crash of the whole market, if everyone suddenly stopped selling and waits for couple hours prices will go up again.
