Maybe we can say now is over for bitcoin, how come bitcoin could drop and have price under $4,000 where at last years of 2017 bitcoin have cross above $14,000, never hope bitcoin could have higher price at the new year.

no, bitcoin is still alive and this happens because of the influence of dollar prices and developments from the world that make the market unstable. sit down and watch the changes in bitcoin prices increase because this is not the end, the blockchain is preparing something big on a global investment scale

I think bitcoin will still an amazing coin in a crypto feild. Game over is really far from the bitcoin market. It has still a great value And it's price is still amazing than the past 4 years from now. So then I believe that the bitcoin will still rise and I beleive that this dip will passed away in the near future let us hold on and be patience because crypto is normally high on volatility.

I think price drop of bitcoin by the end of every year is an usual thing. Anyone can find out the history if they do a little research on it. You will gain some faith by studying on it. And what I think is you are just asking for opinion what other thinks and as an old user you know all this history of bitcoin right??  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

it is not game over yet it is just in the middle of beginning the price moves in different direction because it only indicates that the market is healthy it is just like a slingshot.

I think it is not a game over for bitcoin. As a bitcoin believer I think this will be a start to enter a new world of bitcoin that the only included are the people that have a full trust and give their all patience to wait and to have a long term investment at bitcoin. I know that bitcoin will build another history that each of us will be benefited. It is like a gambling that only the people will take a risk to go with the game flow even you know that their is low chances of winning but you still grab the opportunity like in bitcoin all we see that bitcoin price you will take a risk to have a chance to change your life because of bitcoin.

If Bitcoin is to be likened to a game, then i guess it is an endless game - no game over. Bitcoin will forever reign. The recent drop in price is to allow both new and existing investors to get the opportunity to buy more BTC at relatively cheap prices. Bitcoin will recover soon and take on another bull run. Don't be left out, this is the chance.

I agree! BTC is here to stay. All the news these days are betting with the lowest it will go and some of the predictions are really horrible and they are mentioning 3k. The point is that this whole year was turbulent with a lot of ups and downs, I know that this is the bottom and the predictions are that the price will reverse. The important thing is for the old investors not to give up on it and diminish the price even more by selling it. And hopefully the smart new investors will see the possibility for themselves and start buying. I believe that we will enter the new year in the better position than the one that we are in now.

Questions, or theses on whether this is the end of Bitcoin, are only asked by people who have never survived the breakup of the bubble. Bitcoin has "died" several times and the same scenario is always repeated. In the following weeks we can expect a lot of positive information and we will observe a slowly increase in price until the next bull run ended with the new ATH and immediately after this next breakup of the bubble. The circle closes! Wink

I don't think the weak side of the market now will make bitcoin over, it's true that bitcoin falls very low but bitcoin still has a chance to recover and jump high again.
Bitcoin now facing lot's of problems but we have no right to say bitcoin is game over now, bitcoin falls down but bitcoin is a fighter it always survive and rise again for us.

Not game over but it sure is looking a bit grim at the moment, I am an optimist and believe that the largely self inflicted (panic selling, dumping, forks call it what you will) ills will ultimately stop and we will move forward to point where bitcoin will reach and go above 20k, I know it seams a long shot at the moment, but i'm convinced it will happen.

To me I don't think this is a game over.  Checking the past history you will see this is not  a new trend.  Last year there was massive pump that took every coin price way above their real value.  So we should expect a massive dump.  One of the reasons of because crypto hasn't yet gone mainstream and so many use cases in real life has not started.  This kind of devalue them as we see truly now the real worth of good and otherwise project.  Bitcoin will be fine.  Not a game over.

MenaPay - Crypto made easier than cash

Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

as far as the stablecoins are in evolving just in this period, there will soon be no more only "Theter" to protect (theirs investments)from the volatility of cryptocurrencies.. currently an alternative to theter is Geminidollar [GUSD], based on more reliable guarantees than those offered by Theter Limited, in fact it is a stablecoin regulated by NYSDFS

I think too much post of negativity about bitcoin now. The fact is bitcoin is not yet done, it is still valuable and high priced coin it is just its priced decrease however still a good coin and every traders and investors knows that.

I think the current market is not as a result of government or the hacking of most crypto platforms but rather the recent fork that took place and led to the hashrate war. Bitcoin was stable for month before the fork. It was only after this fork that things changes massively.
There is always a news that is used to dump the price. At least the fork had been settle why has it not regain its price? After it settled it had dumped to $3500 though it could regain its price to $3800, which may not last long.

There is no game over for Bitcoin, even though Bitcoin is in crisis and down, but I'm sure Bitcoin can handle it. maybe you need patience and waiting will definitely rise and recover soon, believe me.
