it cannot be ascertained. everyone has a different trading style, what makes us comfortable using it is what we use. there are people who like holding on long term to make more profit but there are also those who prefer less profit but short time. it all depends on one's choice.
no one knows for sure about it. but everyone's analysis may be different, I can't guarantee whether after 1 year ago when buying and a few months we entered the bull market. say when we enter 2018 bear market, at least 3 years to bounce back from bull market. maybe if we buy it in waiting 1 year it means we have to wait about 2 or 3 more years. this is just my guess.

Besides Bitcoin, the value of almost all types of coins has come down. Some coins have even dropped as much as 99% from their ATH. Now this is the right time to invest in altcoins. But in that case you must select some coins. Those are able to give you returns. And you have to find out all those projects after researching in different ways. If there is any confusion then definitely invest in Ether, BnB or Polygon.
The bear market is not over yet so this is still a good time to buy, do not wait for Bitcoin to dump to 10,000$ per coin before you buy because many are wait g for this price and I doubt it will ever happen.

current cycle will be different will the last which is need 3 years to recover. we have more market participants from insitution and even countries that buying bitcoin due their legal standing. current bearish trend could over in next two months and bitcoin or altcoin price will start recover slowly. i am believe accumulate could start not with partial buying strategy. 
if we have to wait for the bear market to end then we will retire for a few years.

I buy more often when there is a decline like what is happening now. and the purchased alt coins must have the potential to increase because there will be an event coming soon. like the ADA coin which will soon have good news. as well as ETH.

Bitcoin started to dump again after a bad news spread against Bitcoin recently . So all altcoin prices started falling along with Bitcoin . so i think now we should stop investment in any coins . Because it is impossible to predict which direction the market may go now . so i mean this is not good time to invest your money on cryptocurrency . hold your fiat assets now

altcoin price now bleeding ,alot of them now drop till 20% . for some people it was night mare , but for those looking opportunity maybe at this moment was good time to accumulate. bitcoin price recently around 21040 , if it keep down and close below 20700 maybe it could crash make new low immediately. better wait and see what will happen to market and dont be hurry open transaction.
