Also I am strictly against buying altcoins.
I know for many of the people buying Bitcoins won’t seem to be very much profitable.
But still guess what , you will get something instead of nothing.
I am not saying that all alts are trash, but yes there is risk in buying alts.
If you don’t care about your money and can afford to lose, then go for alts.
And yes don’t look for 1-2 years. Buy at each dip.

If you are planning to buy ethereum or the binance coin then this could be a good moment to do so as the price that we are seeing right now is not going to last forever, so buying now seems like a good option if your plan is to hold those coins for the long term, however if your plan is to buy altcoins that are outside the top 10 and that are relatively new then I think this is a bad idea as I think that many of those altcoins will eventually collapse before the next bull run.
This is the best time to invest on Alt-coins, mostly on the long run holding, and the market is really fluctuating which the Bull Run may take place any moment and buying on the alt-coin, the entering price matter a lot, because what determine the value returns in profits or lost.

I guess no one knows if the altcoin season will return in the next 1-2 years because it will depend on how the bitcoin price moves in the market. If bitcoin can return to a price of $50k or more, then the possibility for altcoins to increase is possible, and we will see another altcoin season. For now, I think it's a good time to buy some potential coins that could increase but before buying, make sure we have analyzed the coin's movement so that we can really buy at a low price. 
Buy now and sell later. This may become the best decision. I have been accumulating some altcoins. The next year may be a bullish year for crypto. The 4 year cycle is always happening now. IMO if the good time for altcoins may not this year, bitcoin is still overperforming the majority of altcoins. These days people aware if the risk investing in the altcoin was so big just like when some people are getting scammed caused by they were investing into the garbage project.

Buying is very simple to do but the question is can you really hold 1 to 2 years if the bear market become more critical than what we just saw it today. How many tokens lost thier 90% value during year 2018 to 2019 bear season and you will badly need to hold with no hope at all. we will end up losing if we cant hold and sell at loss because of fear. Invest an amount that you can afford to loss so that you will never feel the fear, sometimes investing also depend on your luck look at LUNA it is such a trusted token but it still failed and fall many investors loss crypto is risky but you are ahead in points if you know more than others keep on going and continue learning for good. Check the charts, projects like 0xMR and ICP are already pumping! There are a lot of good buys right now and many consider this moment the start of the next bullrun- considering cryptos have been going down in price since 2021. We already saw 200+ days of a bear market.
We don't even know about tomorrow and here is you are asking about years, what will happen back then actually no one knows.
Do not sleep on the idea that bear market can lasted another two years like 2018 and 2019, this time it might just take another 200days for a bear market to be over, start buying at every dips instead of waiting.

None know when the market will be running again to the peak price. We can only speculate. We need wait at least a few years to see the market will be recovered again but this time may a bit different compared with the last years. This time crypto is always following the stock market. It has similar pattern. In my opinion if you shall see the chart and make a comparison between both. We didn't even know whether the market already reached the bottom price or not. buying in the various price may become the best answer for that.
